I've been visiting a lot recently, and even joined their wine club which offers two curated wines a month. Locally owned and operated, I feel really good supporting a place that the owners put so much effort into to offer such a gem of a spot for locals. I've tried a lot of wines here, and I'm always amazed at finding something new to me that I enjoy. If you haven't been, it's the perfect place for a date, a girls night, or a day for yourself. They also have good snacks and charcuterie for you to munch on while you drink vino. Don't know much about wine? No problem. Their team will point you in the right direction and they have something for everyone. This is an approachable wine bar- they want you to enjoy the wine as much as they do and I love that about Magie. This spot has a nice indoor space and a beautiful outdoor area. They also have a sister location in the Grove.

There is a parking lot right on the side of the building, but if that lot is full, there is also street parking, and parking across the street in a lot behind the Citadel. The service here was great! All of the staff were very nice and welcoming. The set up of the lounge is also very cozy. There is plenty of space for people to sit whether you're on a date or with a small group, but seating is first come first serve, so if you're coming with a group it's better to get there earlier in the evening so you have a space comfortable enough for the size of your group. There is also indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. There are many wines to choose from and they also have a decent menu with light bites. We opted for the Dino nuggets and caviar which were a hit, the fried olives and some meats and cheeses with some cornishons, fig jam and a sliced baguette. Overall this place has a great vibe to it and I heard they host events every so often. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a nice space to chill with some friends and enjoy a nice spot in Miami.

Step up a few stairs, walk through the main entrance doors and beyond the sofas in the foyer is the entrance which looks more like an entrance to an office. The door gives way to slightly dim warm lighting, which creates an intimate and relaxing atmosphere. I sat at the bar with my husband and heard the bartender, Phillip taking repeated orders of old fashioned and espresso martini. I saw a table polishing glasses and glasses of wines and then came the surprise - their selections! Their selections were smaller than expected but thoughtfully chosen. We asked Phillip for his recommendations, along the lines of red & bold. He gladly pointed us to a wine that was not on the menu. It seems they offer a menu selection and off-menu/rotating selection from unique wine regions. We had a red blend from China (yes that's correct, it surprised me equally). But then I realized, I haven't had wines from most of the regions they offer and the curiosity sets in. Looking forward to explore the menu and off-menu selection. Perfect bar for date night or post dinner drinks and for all the wine explorers out there.

We had the grande platter charcuterie that he prepared right in front of us. He took the time to tell us about his business and specialties. For drinks, we had the white sangria, healthy gut, and a Nicaraguan lager. All were fantastic! I was impressed that the bar had a very swanky appearance but the atmosphere was super welcoming. This one was quite the find!

The food was excellent across the board, and every recommendation we received was truly 10/10. Our server, Abby, was wonderful and made the experience even better. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from start to finish. Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience that felt both elevated and comfortable at the same time. We'll absolutely be back.

In fact, as my wife and I were walking in on our most recent visit, I was commenting that this would be a great place to bring out-of-town guests. Unfortunately, that opinion changed by the end of the evening. When the bill arrived, we learned that the corkage fee had increased from $25 to $35 without any notice. We politely explained that we were longtime customers who had always paid the longstanding $25 fee, but management was unwilling to make any accommodation or honor the previous rate. The increase itself did affect our perception. While $10 may not seem like a large amount, it represented a significant percentage jump for a neighborhood bistro, and it shifted the overall value equation for us in a noticeable way. What made it more frustrating is that a corkage fee increase feels different from a menu price adjustment. Rising food, labor, and operating costs can justify higher menu prices, but a corkage fee is simply a charge for opening and serving a bottle the customer brings in. Increasing it 40% without notice felt excessive, especially for a casual neighborhood restaurant rather than a high-end dining establishment. At $35, the corkage fee no longer feels aligned with the restaurant's positioning or value. Combined with the lack of transparency and the unwillingness to honor a long-standing rate for loyal customers, it meaningfully changed how we view the restaurant. The food was still very good, as it has been on previous visits. However, the overall experience left a sour taste. As a result, my wife and I won't be returning, and we will no longer recommend Silverlake Bistro to friends, family, or out-of-town visitors. That's a shame, because this was once one of the best reasonably priced neighborhood restaurants in the area. A relatively small change, handled differently, could have preserved our loyalty. Instead, it cost the restaurant two regular customers and future word-of-mouth recommendations.

Not sure if it was because my friend's band was playing so it was full of Argentinian people as well as a celebrity, or if that's the usually crowd. Any which way, it was a blast. The bar is run by two Argentinian women who were awesome. Very sweet. I just had one drink because came from a happy hour so was already primed. I ordered the popular Argentine drink which is Fernet with Coke which is usually in the proportion of 70/30 but these girls have a heavy pour so more like 60/40. I also ordered empanadas which were delicious!! I had a Malbec meat empanada and a cheese and onion one. Unfortunately I live far from this place but if I lived close, it would definitely be a great place to hang out on weekends. Enjoy!! Ps. I came with my American friend who does live in the area and loved both the Argentinian people's vibe and the bar's vibe. He said he will be back on his own.
