I've done training here for ten years and still say each workout is the best ever. Associates are knowledgeable and interactive. The owner, Bernie Nelson, is available for consultation and guidance as my body needs have changed over the years. I'm convinced that working with Body and Core trainers is why I'm still hiking in the mountains at age 85. read more

History

Established in 2003.

Bernie Nelson, founder of Body & Core Pilates, has been delivering quality Pilates service for over 15 years after discovering Joseph Pilate's Physical Fitness Method. Bernie's team of instructors follow his lead and are inspired by the work they do to train clients each day. Body & Core Pilates feels that the original work of Joseph Pilates Method (correcting muscular imbalances, improving posture, coordination, balance, strength, flexibility as well as increasing breath capacity and organ function) is the formula for physical and mental well-being. Body & Core Pilates will continuously strive to do the same as we believe in "Better Body Movement For Life."

Meet the Business Owner: Bernie N.

Bernie Nelson, founder of Body & Core Pilates, is certified by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), has completed Pilates programs from All American Pilates, the Kane School of Core Integration for Pilates and Lolita San Maguel Pilates Master. A former collegiate football player for the University of Nebraska at Omaha, he has also held Certifications in Personal training from the American Council on Exercise and National Strength and Conditioning Association. In 2001, after working in the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and a Licensed Massage Therapist, Nelson became a Certified Pilates Instructor and opened his first Pilates studio inside Gold's Gym. With a growing clientele, he opened Body & Core Pilates Studio in 2003, which became the largest Pilates studio in Palm Beach County. Two years later Bernie began to facilitate the Kane School of Core Integration of New York teacher training program. In 2008, after completing his second Pilates training program, he developed his o

It always is usually especially with spring break. You might be waiting awhile for a parking spot. If you see someone starting to leave or backing out wait behind them and give them room to back out and then pull in to their spot. Friendly studio with knowledgable, caring staff. The variety of equipment on offer and small class sizes mean that there is something for everyone, regardless of their current body strength or flexibility. I love Pilates and have been attending mat and reformer classes for years. I am based in the UK, but travel to Florida quite regularly to visit family so wanted to find a good Pilates studio to use when I visit. I have a very unique relationship with Body & Core Pilates. I own a PT practice called Activcore in Princeton NJ and I only send my patients to Bernie and his associates when they live in the Palm Beach area for the winter season. They have a unique combination of Pilates equipment and Redcord suspension. They also recently added physical therapy which puts my mind at ease when I have to send my patients to Florida when they are still in pain.
