this is always my go to spot for massages. Is the people that work here genuinely care for their patients. It's pretty convenient that you can pay for the massage using your FSA and also receive a discount depending on your healthcare plan. I had a massage with Alexis recently, and she was very friendly to talk with and gave me a very relaxing massage. the massage i got in particular was the RX massage i think. i made sure to leave a cash tip for the masseuse after(; The space looks super modern and clean, just as any healthcare type place should be. Sometimes I get a chiropractic adjustment as well. At first, I was kind of scared, but the doctors really know what they're doing. They even have an x-ray that can target what's really wrong with your bones or whatever. I came here a lot, or rather to the West Covina location, when I was training for a marathon. I was sore all the time so I really appreciated all the different methods for relief they had here. The soft wave technology was interesting. if I had a soreness in my back or my knee, the doctor would put the sort of gel on me, then this little handheld machine would send electrical pulses that basically eradicated the pain I felt. Also, there's this giant sock looking like thing that applies pressure to your legs if they're really sore. I don't think I could have done the marathon without body detox. I was able to push myself to new limits, I just needed some help. I haven't tried any of the new things at this office, but they also have cryotherapy which is like some kind of cold recovery thing. They also have a sauna that's infrared, which should help with muscle recovery and maybe even skin too? All in all, it's more important to think of preventative care and work on your muscular skeletal health rather than just taking medication. Great place for a healthy life!

Kelvin the stretch therapist! my hamstrings were definitely looser after this stretch.

I've been going to Body Detox since their first location in West Covina, and I'm so glad they opened one up closer to home! The service and care have always been amazing, and this new location keeps that same great energy. The staff here is so friendly, super informative, and always helpful -- they really take their time to make sure you feel comfortable and understand everything that's going on. I'm a lash artist so my neck/traps/upper back is always so tense and strained. I usually book the massage combo and it's honestly the best self-care I've ever done for myself. They always pinpoint where my tension's coming from and adjust exactly what I need. I walk out feeling lighter, relaxed, and completely recharged. They literally have the BEST chiropractor equipment i have ever used. (Cause honestly I'm used to going to old fashioned chiropractors) but Body Detox is my vibe 10000%. I heard that they have a sauna and cryotherapy coming soon which I'm soooo excited for. I've always wanted to try cryotherapy. Parking's super easy too: there's 2-hour parking right out front, extra spots in the back, and street parking nearby. They take insurance and cash, which makes everything super convenient. Highly recommend checking them out if you need a real reset -- you'll walk out feeling brand new! then you can skip on over to get Molly Tea

Absolutely amazing experience!! I have been coming to see Dr. Lam for a few years now at the original west covina location for body work and regular chiropractic adjustments. What's special about the service here is a consultation with the dr before any treatment which includes an x-ray to build a customized treatment plan for you, unlike other chiropractic experiences i've had where the just start cracking immediately and you're out in 10 minutes. Depending on how your body is feeling you can also take advantage of their infrared sauna, cryotherapy machine, and various massaging services. The type of equipment they use here is elite level and most people just don't have access to it which is why i love coming here. My girlfriend and I both got this awesome ice shaker water bottle at the soft opening in San Gabriel for free! At the other location, i always have to book a month in advance. They just did a soft opening today so I Highly recommend anyone who is interested in health, wellness or recovery to check Body Detox out before they get booked out.

Magical Lounge Chair that fills your body with electrical tingles.

Let me start off by saying that I thought chiropractors were just crack specialists. This place has absolutely converted me into believing that they can be so much more. They were so thorough with me, really going over all my different concerns and the initial adjustment really reflected that. I'm not going to lie, there was a adjustment that they performed on me that had me seeing stars, but in the best possible way. Then they followed up the adjustment With some time and some kind of magical lounge chair that produces some kind of electrical stimulation throughout the body, it literally feels like you're being massaged by electricity from the top to the bottom. Following the magical chair, a gentleman named Calvin took me over to some stretching tables And started doing guided stretches to help me loosen up and get flexible. Keep in mind, I'm a 400 pound man so no part of me is loose or flexible and yet by the time I was done, I felt like I was ready to go on a sprint. I also received a chiropractic massage from somebody named Alexis and I have to tell you it was the best thing I've ever done for myself. I have this deep lingering pain in my upper mid back because I sit in an office chair all day and I do Dialysis after work. Alexis was able to pop out whatever knot I had in the right place and give me relief that I had an experienced in weeks, possibly months. I can't say enough about the experience and her professionalism. I haven't even had a chance to check out some of the other amenities like the cryogenic chamber or the infrared spa but I'm definitely adding those to my list soon. If you're even debating whether or not, this is the right place for you, stop, debating, and just go check them out. On top of the fact that the service is beyond exceptional, the pricing is insane. They don't try to lock you into some crazy plan like Pay for 10 sessions or join our monthly membership or anything like that. I don't even think they offer anything like that. I have kaiser insurance and they're part of the network and I pay hardly anything for my visit but my friend that comes here doesn't have any insurance and still pays an exceptionally low price. Not for nothing but it's a no-brainer to come here And I can't recommend them enough!

Yay! They opened another location!! This location is definitely more bigger and has a modern feel to it. Used their new Pulse PEMF machine. It sent tingly electric pulses and released some tension on my back. Make sure not to hold any electronic devices and metals~ Excited for their infrared sauna and cryotherapy that's suppose to be coming soon

If you're looking for quality, deep tissue work at a fraction of spa pricing and don't mind some subtle background noise of people talking from time to time, then this is the place for you! The pricing is VERY low and these (mostly) women work 6 days a week. They work so, so hard so the standard 20% tipping is quite low. They make minimum wage so they do rely heavily on tips. My husband is a chiropractor and tries to see Amy every few weeks, if not weekly. She really helps his achy body and helps me with my migraines and neck/back pain. We typically do a 90mins massage that is $60. We always tip $30 or MORE. These ladies work hard. I see people mentioning tipping so I wanted to add this point to my review. Even at $90 (the price we pay w/tip) for a 90mins, it's a massage that can't be beat. I can't speak to the other technicians except Amy. She's exceptional. If you get a 90mins you can opt to skip the seated/laying down foot section and go straight to the room. We prefer the time spent on the entire body so 30mins spent in this chair we skip. The body portion is in a small room without a door. Instead, there is a curtain. You still have lots of privacy but, again, don't come here looking for the fluffy spa experience. Come here if you want an incredible massage (with Amy) and please, compensate accordingly!

The shop…read moreitself was clean, and they were advertising a $40 one-hour special, which seemed like a great deal. The massage therapist was polite enough, but unfortunately the massage itself was anything but relaxing. I repeatedly asked her to use less pressure because it was far too painful, but she either didn't understand or chose to ignore my request. Instead of feeling my muscles loosen up, I spent most of the session trying to endure the pain. With about five minutes left, she subtly suggested that there were "additional services" available if I was interested. I looked at her, politely declined, and tried to pretend the conversation never happened. It was awkward and completely unnecessary. As the session was coming to an end, the pain in my neck became unbearable. I finally told her I had had enough and asked to stop early because I genuinely couldn't take it anymore. When I checked out, I left a $10 tip, which I thought was perfectly reasonable considering my experience. She immediately told me the minimum tip should be $20. I've heard this line at too many massage places before, and it's always the same story--asking for more regardless of the quality of the service. I politely refused, paid my bill, and walked out. The real nightmare started the next morning. I woke up with excruciating pain at the base of my neck. It honestly felt like the bones were about to snap. I could barely stand up straight, and every movement sent sharp pain through my neck and upper back. A massage is supposed to leave you feeling refreshed and relieved--not injured. I'm not sure how long this pain will last, but one thing is certain: I will never be returning. What started as an attempt to relax turned into one of the worst massage experiences I've ever had.

The annoying thing was my masseuse's phone rang twice during my massage. Worst yet, she answered it. I find it both rude and unprofessional. When a client has booked a session that time should be for the client. It's very unprofessional to be letting your ring and then answering it. Additionally, there are a lot of people talking unnecessarily in the lobby so this is far from a quiet and soothing massage. During a good massage, I can usually fall asleep but there was just way too much noise. Sorry this disappointed both my wife and I.
