I have been going to see Windy at Body Electric for a little over four years now. When I first happened upon this shop, I was looking for a nice, clean tattoo shop with a knowledgeable person to tattoo me. I had driven around the Shreveport/Bossier area one day, just going in different shops and looking around. None of them really stood out until I walked into the Body Electric. I talked to Windy and showed her the design I was wanting to get. She told me she could do it and gave me some much needed advice on it, as far as the size and closeness of some of the lines, just some all around professional tattoo help. Well, since that day I've never looked back!!! She has done all seven of my last tattoos since I walked into her shop four years ago. I will NOT let anyone else tattoo on me as long as she is in business. She is very professional and has years of experience. She is awesome at any kind of custom work. My last three tattoos, she has freehanded on me with a marker. She is also very polite and so friendly. She will really work with you on what you want and truly is knowledgeable with the art of tattooing.Windy has also done the last four of my piercings. As with tattoos, she has a good eye for placement with piercings also. The Body Electric shop is also very clean and you just get a friendly vibe as you walk in, like you belong there. Honestly, there is nothing bad I can say about Windy and her shop. She is an awesome artist and person with a sweet personality. This place is not what I would consider a tattoo shop. It's an art studio that just so happens to do awesome tattoos. Windy is the queen of good conversation and killer art work. She makes the time spent with her fly by and knows what's best for the longevity of a tattoo. Most people are stubborn about what they want, but Windy will only do a piece that she knows you'll be just as happy with 20 years from now as you were the day you get it. Listen to what she says, about the piece, the healing/after care and how to care for it and I promise you won't go wrong. So if you're looking for a mediocre tattoo, in a boring shop with some drugged out artist, you should look elsewhere. Windy has done all of my tattoos. The oldest is over 10 years now and still looks amazing! I get compliments daily! Listen to her when she tells you how to take care of your work and you will look fabulous forever!! She is a true artist and professional who takes pride in her work and what will be on your body for the rest of your life. She's a great custom artist and can make the piece fit your personality perfectly!! She's honest and wont sugar coat things. If she tells you something detailed can't be done the size of a penny, please listen and don't get offended. I got my first tattoo when I was 16 with parents' persmission at a different shop. Long story short, that artist COMPLETELY messed it up. I was freaking out but as soon as it healed Windy helped me fix it so it looked even better than what I had planned originally. She is very pleasant to talk to and make you feel like you're in good hands. If I had my way I'd get all my tattoos at The Body Electric. However, I was a foreign exchange student at the time so I have since gone back to Sweden where I live and the distance of 5 000 miles and the cost of a trans atlantic plane ticket is unfortunately a little bit brutal for a just a tattoo appointment. So I might be forced to find a more local shop I can live with. But everytime I'm the states to visit I make sure to pop by the shop and get some ink, even if it means I have to take a bit of a detour. read more

Windy is an amazing artist! I've known her for about 10 years and I've been all over the world from Japan to Australia, Windy is and will be the only artist I will ever let tattoo me! She is straight forward and tells it how it is and I love it; she won't bullshit you and she has standards for her art. The Body Electric does amazing custom art. This is not a place that you can go in and find something off the wall or out of a book, then walk out with a tattoo 20 minutes later. Windy takes pride in her artistry, as she should. There are not any other places that I know of in the area that produce the work she does. She is a fiery woman with a heart of gold. My husband and I will only go to Windy for our art. For the last 10 years, she is the only one that will ever ink our skin. She is the best and we show off everything she has do with pride and love. I have known Windy for the past 10 years (more of less. ) I will NOT let anyone else touch me as far as my ink goes! She is extremely light handed, does AMAZING work and is so personable that it is astonishing. When people even "mention" that they are wanting a tattoo, I send them directly to her and ONLY her. I have a cover up, 2 piercings and way too many original artwork tattoos to count, all done by her. She knows her shit! I can not begin to say how great Windy is. She has been tattooing me for 15 years now and I don't have one tattoo by her that I don't cherish. There are some that I said "This is exactly what I want" and she tattooed it perfectly; and there have been times where we brain stormed together ideas and she came up with the best ideas that perfectly fit my personality!
