Long story short had a great tour of the facilities and personal talk with no upsell. Fast smooth and no hassle. Spoke with Kyle about personal life and Super Bowl fun talk great customer service. I may have given them one more star if their cancelation process wasn't so inconvenient. I tried to cancel on the website via my account, but wasn't finding anything but a "cancelation request". I felt like it was close to the time they'd take out the annual fee, and I wanted to cancel prior to getting charged. They don't bother to send you a reminder text/email. I went to the gym and was told they couldn't cancel on-site, and it had to go through the cancelation request form. Of course they refuse to refund me the $49 annual fee since I didn't cancel 15 days in advance. Great way to build your customer relations. This experience has ensured I won't be signing back up with their gyms at any point in the future. As for the facility, I stopped going regularly months ago. It's small, loud, and too often had inoperable equipment for whatever reason. More times than not, people thought it was ok to put their towels on machines to indicate use while they were on another machine all together, or spend minutes between sets on their phones. With such little space and so few available machines, this poor gym etiquette should have been addressed by staff. read more

Take down the "free week" offer on your website. I came to town for Christmas and the gym refused to let me use this offer because they only give it to customers that are interested in joining the gym. I would have paid for a week pass but they wouldn't allow it. just rude. read more

Terrible to cancel with them. Not even living in Bakersfield anymore. Canceled 3 months ago still being charged. Local office did nothing. Corporate office was worse said no to our request for refund for last 3 months over phone in less than 1 min. Got to be better Body Xchange! read more

This location is a disgusting pig pen. The gym management allows chalk to be used and video taping. It's the same guy who uses the chalk and videotapes but the gym management does nothing. The chalk is on the weight bars, dumbbells, benches, and floor ,which means the members are getting chalk on their clothes all because of one member. The same guy sets up his tripod and film himself lifting which is against gym rules, but again, the management does nothing. The good news is that since management refuses to enforce gym rules then that negates your contract with Body Xchange therefore you can cancel without penalty. read more

I honestly make my way out here because of the nice atmosphere and way better customer service than the other locations... They need to hire better customer service reps at all locations ESPECIALLY the Oswell location... Miguel is a good example, always greeting and extremely helpful. read more

By far my favorite location. Temperature control is under control whereas the other locations are humid and sticky. Evening front desk staff is always friendly and interactive with members. Appreciate the layout that includes the open workout room is off to side of everyone and they've placed a few rows of equipment behind the cardio for those times you don't want others watching your struggle with such low weights. (My story) Had to take away a star for the terrible daytime desk staff I encountered I several occasions and filthy state of the equipment on several visits. (After I complained about the filth to corporate they were cleaned and have been maintained more often) read more

I enjoy coming here because of its convenient proximity & how few members go compared to other Northwest locations. It has enough equipment to service my needs, but I've been told by my husband that it lacks sufficient weights and various machines for someone that might lift more than the Average Joe. I like being able to walk in and excuse myself to the women's side for a while. However, the ab equipment is on the other side, so I eventually migrate that way before I leave. It's a clean, small facility and the employees are nice. Too bad they don't offer child care, though. If I could keep out of the Calloway gym altogether & not have 2 deal with that mayhem, I'd be doing good... read more

I've been with Body Xchange for 3+ years and am moving so I had to cancel my membership. I submitted a request to cancel and paid the cancellation fee 2 1/2 weeks before my next pay date. Get a call from their manager stating that they never received my request cancellation 4 days before my pay date was due and that I'd have to pay another month that now won't be able to fully utilize. I guess I should finally write a review on this place since I'm here almost everyday. I come to this gym solely out of convenience. It's three blocks away from my house and I know I would never work out if it was more than a couple miles away. The place is clean, has good people working here and equipment that works. So why only three stars? The place is ridiculously small with nearly half of it taken up by a 'Ladies Only' section. For the most part they have all the equipment and weights that I need but because of the size it can get pretty tight during peak hours. It is also annoying that all of the treadmills get taken quickly when it's busy yet the 'Ladies Only' section is nearly empty with additional machines and equipment that are going unused. My biggest gripe is their hours. This is mainly my own problem as my work hours are crazy but I think closing at 5pm on weekends is pretty ridiculous. Not to mention I came on Memorial Day and the place was closed. I'll keep coming here just because I can roll out of bed and skip here if I wanted to. However things would be a lot nicer if they got rid of the 'Ladies Only' section and adjusted their hours to be more like other Body XChange locations. read more

Been a member for over 2 years. Signed up at Calloway and only been there 2-3 times. My to go gym is the one here on Olive. It's convenient for me only 5 min away from home,atmosphere is good, the staff is always friendly. I'm a big fan of the XGT classes been doing for quite awhile. The classes are very good, if you see no results is cause either your not motivated to attend or some people like to workout on there own. I always like to push myself to it's fullest. I really enjoy them, and will keep coming until physically fit. Just wanna give a shout out to all our XGT trainers. Carlos is a very knowledgeable trainer , Thanks for kicking our butt and making sure we doing workouts correctly and keeping us motivated !!!!! read more

I would give this place zero stars if I could. Never in my life have I seen a gym facility be so unprofessional. The people that work the front desk are rude and not welcoming. No one wipes down their machines after they have used them. I used the facility once, and wanted to cancel my membership within 24 hours of opening it. I spoke with a worker named George who said he would cancel my membership for me and refund me since I was unsatisfied within the first 24 hours (buyers right to cancel within five days) two weeks late to find out that he did none of those things and now they won't cancel my membership until they charge me $100 and they will threaten to turn you over to collections if you don't pay. Don't say I didn't warn. Stay far away from this place. They clearly do not care about anything including the current situation and are absolutely heartless. read more

Horrible customer service, I tried to close an account with them due to Covid 19 concerns , I Was able to close mine but my wifes did not close after numerous charges to my checking account and numerous attempts to close this account I stopped payment on the charges. Then I got charged a late fee for non payment and I still had to bring the account up to date in order to close it. Their manager for this facility was absolutely no help and did not care in the least. If you sign up, beware of cancellation policy's, they are sub standard. read more

Very unhappy with this gym it's small and the majority of the space is taken up by a group class area which you have to pay extra for and only has a handful of people in it. The gym is filthy and so dusty. All the equipment especially the cardio equipment always has dried sweat drops on it. Occasionally you see maintenance walking around with a cleaning product which is obviously not diluted correctly because it is so strong that I normally have to leave because it triggers my allergies so bad. read more

I wouldn't recommend this gym, they close at 5pm on weekends and 10pm on weekdays. It is always crowded becuase of the limited hours and the extremely small size. ladies hog up the crossfit room and people just stare at you while your lifting weights becuase the cardio equipment, awkwardly faces the weight room section. They also have outdated equipment but the staff is really professional and extremely nice. read more

Dear BX, Thank you for making it blatantly clear that you do not care to cater to your female customers. Thank you for closing every single location that made it possible for a female to use your facilities without feeling like she is a steak in a meat market. You closed your ONLY women's only gym. Your olive drive express location was a great option to work out in comfort and without feeling like you were being gawked at. Then you closed it. The stockdale hwy express was the next option because at least the rooms were sectioned off and made for a tad more discretion than your giant warehouses. Then you closed it too. So thank you. Thank you for leaving me with no options to utilize your facilities without feeling like I'm being gawked at, judged, and otherwise just extremely uncomfortable. Surprisingly enough, there are actually women in this world who like to workout with things other than just free weights and medicine balls, but this is not possible in any of your facilities without feeling like you're in the middle of a frat house, which obviously is the audience you intend to cater to anyways. read more

Do NOT take you kids to the kid care. Especially in the morning the girl with dark brown/black hair is rude and mean to the kids. This is the second time I've had an issue with her being rude. But, this time she over stepped her boundaries by being rude to my child. She told my daughter to get away from the kitchen set and no she couldn't draw she needed to go play on the jungle gym" mind you there was only ONE kid in there and she looked about 12 and was just laying down . Why would you be rude to an innocent child and tell them they can't draw? Get off your lazy ass and do something. You work in a kid care you should be interacting with kids! My daughter refuses to go back there and she is 4. She use to love going to the gym. This girl has NO BUSINESS working there and needs to be FIRED! This is the second time I've reported her behavior to the red head tall "manager" he's just as ignorant too. He said he'd take care of it last time obviously he didn't and this time when I told him what happened he didn't seem to concerned. Nor did he ask my name or offer to call me with a solution to this. My daughter even told him her self what happened she's 4 yrs old!!! I shouldn't have to worry about leaving my kid in child care for 20 minutes. read more

Rather weak facilities but close to home. The problem comes with the extremely unhelpful staff. Small billing confusion on the last payment (after I cancelled the account I didn't know to go back to give them updated credit card info when my card renewed) It then took a month to figure out what the problem was by which time they wanted to charge me a $40 late fee on a $20 charge. Talk about the worst example of corporate incompetence. The manager ( who didn't get back to me for two weeks after I last spoke with her) dismissed me and told me that she didn't have time to deal with me when I justifiably expressed disbelief at the $40 in fees. Hold on to your wallet and go somewhere else. There are many gyms and you don't need this garbage. read more
