First thing I notice in the gym is that there is ALWAYS someone going around cleaning the machines, the floors, etc. I switched from another gym down the street that may or may not have an X in the name and the floors were notoriously overrun with dust bunnies and hairs. Here there is always a spray bottle and rag within a few steps wherever you go in the gym. Plenty of treadmills. Gets kind of crowded around the free weights. The 29-minute circuit course has become my favorite routine. I just wish some people would respect the circuit part of it and not hog one machine for ten minutes. read more

We attended this gym for about a month just to try it out with our schedules and the location. Parking is okay. Another cramped shopping center. *Pro-tip: park in the adjacent lube shop lot. It's empty in the evenings AND security hangs out there!* Without going into too much detail, our memberships were covered through a third party benefit through our health insurance. The staff had no idea how to help us or answer our questions about adding kid care. We had to leave and come back TWICE since we had a kid with us and couldn't get her in. I know it was probably a call from corporate, but they still need to make sure their local line staff know what's going on. Otherwise, clean and crisp facility. The women's changing room/bathroom was so spacious and has little nooks where you can hide to change near the lockers. Oh, and "selfie stations" for those who need ;) 6/10 will return. It's expensive when not discounted thru health insurance. And I was kind of annoyed about the beginning of our memberships. read more

I'm starting to get confused with all the different locations I believe that I have worked out it every single in shape gym this week. No I really don't have a problem with any of the gyms and I have given all of them that I have reviewed five stars. I go for the classes I don't go for the equipment so my ratings are always on the classes. The classes I go to they are ones that are familiar to me so I'm never going to really give it less than a five star rating. But it is really nice the In-Shape has Zumba and other classes I like multiple times a day. The other gym I belong to only has Zumba once a day and it gets really annoying if I miss it. I'm not a member here I'm just a guest on a week pass. You can get a week pass from their website. 3-16-18 I had to join! These clubs are bomb!!!! read more

I like this gym for the most part, but lately ive been getting upset. Can someone answer me why the VTL classes are taking over other parts of the gym? They no longer work out in the "VTL" area and take up most of the gym, because of that it forces all the other members out of areas we previously had access too. This is happening on a daily basis now. Also can we start enforcing some of the gym policies, like grunting loudly or excessively. Theres this really weird guy here with glasses that walks stiff and will make the loudest sounds FOR EVERY WORKOUT im not kidding he does it for every exercise every day, and most of the time its not even heavy, he stares and creeps me out but at least the gym can tell this guy to keep it down. Hes there everyday it seems around 10 am, making his weird sounds. Hes a spanish looking guy with glasses and always wears short shorts. read more

I love this gym and the staff are the best, but if they don't tell these loud a** VTL instructors to lower their microphones I'm gonna lose it. I'll be trying to talk to my gym partner who is right next to me but we can't hear each other even though we are on the complete other side of the gym. It's not all of them most are considerate. I come to the gym to listen to my music and get a workout in, can't do that either when you can hear someone yelling on a microphone despite the fact that I have my headphones on full blast, again on the other side of the gym. Not only that but that's a huge safety issue, your staff utilizes the microphone system to make emergency or child related announcements. Again can't do that with someone yelling, tell them to be considerate of others and keep it down. read more

Shame on In-Shape for announcing reopening so everyone would take their accounts off hold but only stay open 7-5 while literally everyone is at work. ALSO, In-Shape changed their network which means Coffee Rd (which is actually open til 8) is no longer included in the plan and to upgrade to that level so you can workout after work you're literally looking at over 4x the cost in dues. I've been an In-Shape member at Riverlakes since day one and I am GRAVELY disappointed in how the reopening was structured after we remained loyal this entire time instead of switching to Body Xchange. read more

I've been going to the Riverlakes In-Shape for about 2 months now and it has been a really good environment to work out in. The gym is clean, including the locker room area, and not too crowded. It does get busy on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, but I can still find the machine that I want to use. This gym also offers personal training sessions as an option and I decided to give it a try since the first session is free! I did my first session with Jacob and bought several more and I don't regret it one bit. Jacob my personal trainer has shown me the right way to work out and I'm getting the results I was looking for while avoiding injury by using proper techniques! In the past I didn't goto the gym regularly because I didn't know what I was doing. Now I feel like I can commit to coming regularly and getting and staying fit the right way. Thanks Jacob! The gym has all sorts of machines, weights, TRX bands, Bosu balls, etc. You name it and this gym probably has it. I also really like the group sessions that are offered after work since it is a great way to stay motivated and get a great work out in 50 minutes. The popular classes get packed though on Mon thru Wed, like cycling and body pump, so you have to show up at least 10 minutes before the class starts if you want to get a spot. I've shown up once or twice right on time and couldn't do the group session because it was already packed. read more

Let me just start by saying thank you to this location to the staff and management..Especially Preet ..I love coming to this location when I am home from work..this location is so bright with sun light and so open that you don't feel crowded ..the staff is always going around re stacking the weights and cleaning..during these times of the virus the pandemic or covid how ever you look at it..it's nice to feel like something is normal..even if your wearing a mask your getting that stress relief working out ..so my review isn't only about the riverlakes location it's also about Preet she is always asking gym members if they need anything always checking on the equipment and honestly just her asking to me is a way of caring for the members..you even make sure to do things on social media with the members..So please Inshape corporate take the time to give Preet some recognition..because it starts from the top and her leadership is showing through her staff..thank you Preet!!..thank you riverlakes staff read more

I love this In-Shape, it's clean and the machines are new. The only downside is that on certain days it gets really packed and the place isn't very big. The staff at In-Shape are always friendly but I will mention them. They always say hi and tell you to have a great workout and greet with a smile. I've been an In Shape member for years. I've always gone to Coffee and loved it. The staff, management, kid care and the people. We started going to The Calloway gym since it is literally a block away from home. This evening I walked into the gym and the front desk girl, Faith was behind the desk and was talking to 2 men. I walked around one of the guys a checked myself in with my phone as I was on the phone with my mom on my head phones. Faith did something, as I wasn't really paying attention then I hear her very loud say Ewwwwwww! I then stopped and and turned around and said excuse me? Did you just say EWWWW? She replied, are you really trying to fight me at the gym! I have never experienced anything like this before. I go to the gym daily, and sometimes twice a day. My membership for my children and I isn't cheap and to have to deal with childish, disrespectful employees is beyond me. I will be on the phone with corporate tomorrow and something will be done about this situation. I've been in management for years and I hVe never bad would never let an employee treat a client or customer they way I was treated this evening. read more

Over all this is a great gym. I love the classes, especially the early morning spin classes I'm able to fit in before work, which is the main reason I switched to InShape. The Thursday morning spin class however is terrible. The instructor Sylvia has no idea what she's doing, and the attendance in that class shows it. read more

I never really liked going to the Coffee location for two reasons, the drive to get there and the fact that it's always crowded. So when they opened the Calloway location we were really excited because it is closer to the house. What I like about this gym is that it is not always crowded and that it is always clean. The staff is all very friendly and helpful, especially everyone at the Personal Training desk. My sister and I started training with Andrew in January and it has been awesome! So far, we have lost 20 pounds each and we are still going strong. Andrew is very attentive and really knows how to challenge you so that you can do your best and take it up a notch every session. He always goes the extra mile to help you out with achieving your goals through diet and exercise If you really want to kick some ass, then Andrew is your guy! read more

Been to all the In-Shapes in town and this is by far the best one. Gym equipment and machines are always clean and in great shape. Sure the gym is on the smaller end but if you go at the right times capacity is never an issue. Drive 15 miles everyday to come to this one and I never mind going the extra mile because this gym goes the extra mile to make sure it's properly ran! read more

I have been being in my daughter to the Inshape kids club for 5years. She loves going which in turn allows me to go without feeling guilty. Then I brought her to this new gym. Not only does the Daycare follow the rules to a ridiculous level, they do not make you feel like they enjoy watching the kids. Especially the head lady. Yesterday, I ended up going to the other gym because My daughter left socks in my car and they said she had to have them, they had no socks to borrow. So I said I'll run to my car to grab them. Then they said I can't do that with her in the club. I had to resign her out being her with me, then check her back in with the socks. I have other friends who said they love the new gym, but no the kids club. Ridiculous! I won't be back here. read more

We loved this gym when we started here over a year ago, but we've decided after this morning to cancel. We go in the early mornings and the music is blasting so loudly that Metallica can't be heard even full blast in headphones. My boyfriend has given up on trying to listen to books. We've asked a handful of times for the music level to lowered. Once or twice they've done it, but the rest of the time we get the canned, "we're not allowed to change the volume." My boyfriend and I both have called management, but no long-term efforts have been made. read more

I signed up with this gym last summer. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I love that they have a big variety of machines both upstairs, downstairs, and outside. It's usually a little packed around 5-7pm but there's still a lot of machines available. They are also offer different classes such as cycling, Zumba, etc. read more

Love this location, great variety of machines and very clean. The staff is kind and welcoming and the girls at the kids club are just absolutely fantastic. Ramona, Joesetth, Ashley and Trina are the best and I feel safe leaving my toddler in their care, which -as a concerned parent - means so much to me. They do fun activities with the kids, they also dance and read stories with them . One can see how much they work to entertain the little ones and that's why my daughter absolutely loves going there. Wow! I am so impressed with this gym! New, clean, top of the line equipment and the customer service can't be beat! I signed up with Jorge... He was very friendly and not pushy at all. I didn't feel any pressure to sign up which made me want to sign up more! When I saw they offer the body pump classes I was sold! I have taken the bodypump classes in the past and loved them but I love them even more here! The instructors are amazing and the people in the classes are all friendly and helpful. I was running a little late after work and two of the members helped me grab equipment and set up next to them! I also tried the pop Pilates class last thurs and WOW I am hooked on that one too! On my days off from work I plan on spending a few hours a day in this gym. It's like a spa! Worth every penny! read more

Four stars for the gym itself. First time visiting. Gym is beautiful and clean. Liked the whole place. Wish it had a pool. 0 stars for pushy staff (except the lovely, young woman at the front desk) Looked around to get a feel for the place. Went up front to ask for a towel after I didn't find any near locker room. Guy at desk told me the "gentleman" at the table across from him would be happy to give me a towel. The "gentleman" was soliciting referrals and would give me a free towel to keep. I told both of them I wasn't interested and asked for a complimentary gym towel. "Gentleman" asked why I didn't want to help and if I'd referred before. I told him yes and pointed to my friend who joined because of my referral. Told him I didn't know anyone else who might want to join. I was getting a little frustrated because I couldn't get a towel. Finally, young woman at front desk gave me a towel. I thanked her and left to work out. As I walked away, one of the guys said something about me and they both laughed heartily. Seriously?! read more

This gym is never over crowded like the coffee location and i can always get in and get my workout done no matter what time i decide to go! I been a member at InShape since 09.i started going to the coffee location till the new olive branch opened up So i started at olive and bringing my 3 1/2 boys wth me . About 6 month ago i got called in to the kids care cause one of my Boys jumped on another kid in the kid care. So I sat down wth the manager and she said cause it was a safety concern I had to take my kids home so I did but before leaving I asked to see the video and how aggressive my kid was they said they can't. . few days later I get an email saying my kids were terminated from the gym. I reached out to the area manager and left him a voice mail and I never got a calm back. U ran into the district manager and told him about my situation and he said he will look into it and never bothered to reach back. Some member and staff know what the situation is at the kid care and how unprofessional the kid care staff is and top it off management but they are employees at the facility and I understand why they don't want to stand up for other members . It isn't hard to look up my name and call me and at least give me an explanation . The staff at the olive kid care location need to be more reasonable and know that kids are kids and will play rough sometimes cause they don't know better , I been taking my boys to the coffee location for -almost 5 month now and not even a single complain about them of being un pleasant or aggressive. I have had it wth the management at inshape and am considering switching gym . read more

Been going since the doors opened. Really like the smaller, less cluttered environment. The functional strength training area is great. Looking forward to trying the outdoor training area. Have not found it to be overcrowded with gym socialites or kids. Trainers are helpful and knowledgeable. Been working with Jessica for the last month. She is great. read more

We love the staff and location, but we are getting frustrated with the lack of attention to workout equipment. There are only two sets of very frayed black ropes that look like they're going to break and the "W" bar has been missing for 3 weeks. We asked some of the employees about it and nobody seems to know what happened to it. We use this bar just about everyday with the cables. They should really have 2 or 3 "W" bars so members don't have to constantly wait for another member to finish with it. There should also be a bottle of cleaner and a towel on every piece of equipment so members can clean them down after each use. We shouldn't have to walk around the gym just to find cleaner and a towel. Equipment is always strung out all around the gym and never put back where it belongs. Staff should really do walk throughs every hour to make sure equipment is where it belongs. read more
