When I walked in another customer was complaining that the beds wouldn't turn on, that process had me wait for a while. The front desk girl was kind but the process couldn't have been any slower. She was using terminology that didn't make sense to me such as "you would be best having a Malibu tan setting". There's no charts or examples of the levels so I just bad to trust what she was saying. They need name, DOB, address, etc which I don't think is necessary if I'm just doing a quick spray tan, I don't know why they need all my demographics. I had a Groupon and for some reason the computer wanted to charge me five more dollars and the cashier didn't know why, but still asked if I wanted to pay the five extra dollars even though I already paid previously online, that was a little odd. I declined paying more than my Groupon purchase. When i finally walked to the very back where the spray tan machine is, I got fully ready for my spray tan in the machine wouldn't turn on. I had to wipe all the lotion off, get dressed, go out. Find the girl and have her figure out why the machine wasn't turning on. She figured it out in the computer system and it finally worked. When I got out, I noticed the bottom of my feet were extremely dark. It seems like they don't clean the very bottom of the machine so there's already spray tan sitting there so when you're standing there, your skin just soaks up all the color and stains it dark. That was a little disappointing. The tan didn't last more than two days. Not sure if I would return.

I love that she shared such great after care tips. She also did my finances first chest and stomach wax and although it's painful (that's inevitable) she really helped ease his nervousness and worked quick without sacrificing detail of work. My first though was OK what's the fine print? There must be a catch. So I called. I spoke with Steevie. She said it would be for new clients only. I said I was never there before and we got talking. I said I used to tan at Body Heat but they closed the store that I went to, so I ended my membership. Steevie said Palm Beach bought Body Heat, so I probably will be in their system. She said no worries though that she would honor the deal. Well cool. I headed over. And then I realized it's right next door to my favorite chicken spot, Hencredible. What?! This must be fate. I got a chicken meal before I went in. Just a slight detour. The tanning salon itself was very clean, and I was greeted with true warmth and exuberance. It was Steevie. I wish they could bottle her attentiveness and passion. She is the standard all customer service reps wish they could be. Go ahead Steevie! She took her time with me and determined the perfect color combo for my spray tan. My husband told me the Versa spa developer stinks. This was a different one. They have both. Plus they have an additive to make you smell nice. She was my own personal chemist getting my feedback on everything. She told me I didn't have to remember the combination we landed on because she put it in the computer. Also cool! I got in the room and put lotion on my palms and elbows. This matters. I'll tell you later. Not what you think. I got inside and a huge jet of warm air shot down. This would be great in the winter. The summer- not so much. We're getting to the part where I'm glad I had the lotion on my hand. 2 poses- arms up- arms down. Front and back. The problem was when I looked down I had brown fluid coming down my neck to my boob. Oh no! I frantically began rubbing it in as the machine sprayed my back. A cloud of developer filled the air and I cracked the door to breathe better. I have asthma. I got out and saw splotches on both legs. I rubbed the brown liquid even and even had it under my nails. I grabbed the wet wipes in the room and started rubbing me palms and under my nails. Thank God I put on lotion. This is the point of the 3 for $9 though, right? Try things out and see what's right for you. This one was a miss. I let Steevie know and she offered a free session. No- it was $3. Lol. I just wanted her to know so no one else would get splattered. The tan developed well and I like the color. I don't think I'm willing to try that again though. Stinky Versa spa for me I guess. Lol While I was there she showed me the infrared wellness options. And that brings me to today. I did the hydro massage with infrared light. Was it amazing? Yes. 20 minutes of bliss. Did my person today get exasperated with me? Also yes. I didn't know how to work it. She had to show me 3 times. When I asked her if I need to get naked she clearly had enough of me and disappeared. (You don't get naked by the way.) Of course I couldn't figure out how to turn it on so I went and found her. She turned it on for me and left. I'm not blaming her. I'm kind of old. I mean half a century is pretty old. It just wasn't clicking for me. I got settled in and oh my Lord, this was lovely! There was red light, so I put it on my feet. I figured I have arthritis and all. I read later the red light is for wrinkles. Lol so yeah. You get a tablet size controller to guide your 20 minute massage. It's water pushing againt you. You can controls the speed, intensity and area of the body. I felt a little like fast food under one of those lamps, but it was fun and relaxing. I have 1 visit left. I'll let you know how it goes. If you come, be sure to ask for Steevie.

The membership I signed up for was not honored in the way it was originally presented. I specifically chose an unlimited membership because it included access to all equipment and wellness services as often as I wanted. After the takeover, I was told I could no longer access many of the wellness services that would have been included under my Body Heat membership, which was one of the main reasons I joined in the first place. To make matters worse, staff members seemed unclear about how memberships were being transferred and were unable to provide consistent answers to basic questions about benefits, access, or policies. Communication throughout the transition was poor, leaving customers confused and frustrated. Additionally, locations have closed and operating hours have changed, which significantly reduced the convenience and accessibility I originally signed up for. Overall, the service, membership value, and customer experience have all declined since Palm Beach Tan took over. I understand acquisitions can be complicated, but customers should not lose benefits they were promised when they signed up. Very disappointing experience.
