The owner was super friendly and helpful--he explained the difference between tanning beds and ensured I got into one with UV-B rays. There was never a wait to get into a bed, which I really appreciated that. They also offered clean goggles for customers to borrow, in case you didn't have your own or forget them at home. They offer various stickers as well. I only tanned here but I noticed they offer several other services, including cryotherapy and red light therapy. Decided to give the cryotherapy a try! I only started with 3 minutes and boy I was not ready for that cold!! I survived the 3 minutes and felt good after but definitely a shock! The guy at the front desk and the one that helped with the cryotherapy were both fantastic and very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! They also offer tanning and other options here but the cryotherapy is worth trying if you never have and the prices are not bad at all! read more

I love RioTan! I originally went here for a quick tan but I stayed for all the other awesome wellness stuff. I love doing Cryotherapy and the NormaTech compression therapy the most. I used to be the biggest wimp going into the cold section at Costco and I always had trouble with ice packs, but doing cryotherapy has built up my tolerance so much!! It's not hard for me to do those things anymore. They are open everyday from 8am-10pm except for Christmas Day which is awesome. The owners Gary & Mark are really nice. This was my first time trying the cryotherapy treatment and it was amazing especially since it's been scorching outside! Finished a workout earlier in the day so decided to try it before the soreness kicked in, felt great afterwards and slept better than I had in months. I am now a big believer in Cryotherapy! This was not always the case. I was a skeptic. 1st off , Im NOT a workout guy. Just a regular 55 year old man with the usual aches and pains that come with a sedentary lifestyle and too many carbs :) A friend of mine who lives a 180 degree different lifestyle was signing the praises of this therapy, as well as the Rio Tan team in general. He took me there on a buddy pass and I tried the 3 minute Cryo session. The attendant was very helpful and delivered easy to follow instructions. Sure it was cold, but not unbearably so. The feeling after was unremarkable, yet I did feel more energized the rest of the day. After a great nights sleep, I awoke to a completely ache and pain free morning and that has continued now for 7 days. I have been coming here for 3 years since 2017 & I have always had great experience every signal time. What separates this place from other places to me is the people here. Gary, Bryant,Jeremy, Tony always make you feel like you are at home and supper cool guys, easy going, friendly, accommodating with top of line customer service hands down. I originally came down due to having a torn meniscus and having pain due to inflammation that would come and go. They recommend that I try the Chryo-Therapy. After doing a Cryo-Therapy session (when needed) I kid you not it really helped reduce the pain for me if not help make it almost gone. Example I can walk a pain level of 7or8 and walk out feeling more like a 3or4 sometimes even completely gone!! (It only takes 3 minutes in the Chryo-Chamber of being a little cold but it's completely worth for me based on the results. Plus the guys talk to you to help make the 3 min go by faster. I also have done Normatec Compression Therapy for my legs and that too helps minimize the pain. It feels like a firm massage (feels really good) If you have a little time or are not a fan of the cold I would recommend to try Normatec Compression Therapy the session last 20min. I can honestly say that these guys take much pride doing what they do and it shows clearly. They run a friendly professional business here no with pushy salesman pressure to buy or up sell. The machines that they have here sells itself based on the results of how people feel afterwards. If you have any questions just call and ask, That simple. They have always treated me with respect and given me the the time of day to answer all my questions. I really enjoyed my membership at this location. Each person of the staff that I met was friendly and helpful. It was also great to see an owner that was present and engaged. The facilities that I used were well maintained and clean (I didn't do tanning so I have no experience with those machines). Occasionally machines did have hiccups, but it's a small business and there's no way that can't happen. When a machine did have a problem, it was very obvious that the staff was doing all they could to get it back in to service asap. I looked forward to the time I spent there and tried to be there daily. I had to cancel my membership for personal reasons only. If I could find a stable way to get this back in my schedule, I'd look forward do doing so. read more

This tanning salon is the absolute best in the valley. The entire salon (including the beds) are extraordinarily clean. You don't feel gross taking your shoes off. You don't see fingerprints all over the beds. Their beds will give you great color! I have only gone 3 times and can already see a noticeable difference. I have yet to try their Versa Spa (spray tan), but I am looking forward to it. Lastly, the staff is knowledgeable and kind. Ok so i just moved here from Del Mar CA and I know nothing or no one in this entire state or city. I have been a devout member of Itan Del Mar since 2009. As I searched YELP I decided to try Rio Tan which is located minutes from my new home-to-be. Here is my 1st take on my welcome there...the owners are present (bonus!) the salon is CLEAN (HUGE Bonus) the beds have been in great/good output condition (minus rm 1 I believe) just seemed this king bed had old bulbs with not much output. The owners have been personable and kind. Now...I am from one of THE most expensive areas in SoCal and the package I'm paying for is identical to the one I had in Del Mar CA. I paid $70./mo for unlimited use of all beds. I was offered unlimited use of all beds for 89./mo here...I wasn't happy w/price but just did it anyway. Once I passed over my credit card it ACTUALLY came to $97.00/mo for unlimited tanning bed use. Not sure paying almost $30.00 more a month for same thing I had is worth it and I'm Bothered by the cost to be honest. So I will keep it for now but will discontinue in 3 months. I'm hoping these great owners can come up with a better package price in the very near future. They do offer a one time a month free buddy tan under this package ($35. Value)but considering I know NO ONE ...it would have been a much better option to deduct $35. From my monthly pkg rate so I could continue my membership non-stop as I did in Del Mar for 10 years. This is a great salon...I'm hopeful they will have a better promo SOON!!!! read more

I've been going since it was called Tan Las Vegas. Dan knows my name. Never forgets it. Never have to remind him. He's nice! Really. He never pushes anything. Never tries to talk me into anything either. Amazingly knowledgable about everything in the store...and surprisingly in his competitors stores too. He can tell you the pros & cons of any bed. His or his competitors. He's honest enough to admit if the competition had a "cooler, better bed... But will quickly offer to set you up in a better bed than I may be using at that point. :) The interior of the salon is CLEAN as well as the BEDS!!! He has a ton of tanning lotions & after sun products. Awesome. I'm not a weekly visitor... I come and go...but it doesn't matter... It's like visiting an old friend!!! read more

I started swimming again thanks to one to many "old football injuries" and since it's hard to swim in a 2 piece and I certainly don't want to be seen in one... I ended up with what a friend called the "oreo" tan. Dark on top and bottom and white in the middle! I never thought I would try tanning bed or spray on tan but I finally broke down and tried Rio Tan and one of it's competitors. I'm not sure I could tell the difference in the tanning bed. They both had the same one. Tanning booth... by the time I tried Rio I had a much better base tan so it was also hard to tell. The really big difference is that I think the person I worked with was the owner and not just an employee clocking in and clocking out. He was polite, attentive, and in general just pleasant to work with. I'm waiting for a special that meets my needs and then I'm definitely going back! read more
