I've been seeing Kelly for almost a year now, and I truly can't say enough good things. Not only is she warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind, but she also brings a level of knowledge and professionalism that sets her apart. From the very first appointment, she took the time to understand my skin and its needs, recommending treatments and products that have genuinely made a HUGE difference in my skin. She has an amazing eye for what your skin needs based on your goals. She also has a long-term approach to skincare, which I LOVE, and I've never once felt pushed toward unnecessary treatments--which is one of my biggest pet peeves! I feel confident and cared for every time I walk out of her treatment room, and truly enjoy our conversations during our sessions. Horrible experience. The staff was really disappointing. Laura, I believe is her name, should not be a manager. She's no help at all and absolutely does not care about her clients. She takes no accountability, nor do her workers. She claims so, but that's not what was portrayed. She refuses to believe that her employees can make mistakes just to protect the company's image, absolutely pathetic, considering they did lie, make mistakes and some are incompetent. They all lied by insisting certain information was went over and discussed during the consult, such as risks, which was not. Grace definitely did not go over risks. Rachel did when I asked but also persisted it was covered by Grace previously and Desiree, whom I have never seen regarding fillers. They made the mistake of noting inaccurately in their system that I'v seen Desiree twice about fillers when I haven't. It was Grace instead, and only once. Grace unfortunately isn't as experienced as she should be. My consult with her was not informative. She barely knew how to answer my questions properly, hesitated and did not even bother to show me any sample photos at all considering this is a big procedure. I'm sure this wouldn't be the first complaint against her expertise, and I know they all know it, including the manager, Laura. Never also seen a place that didn't have photos to offer to go by. This led me to ask many questions during the day of my procedure. Rachel in a way was rushing to get started so my numbing creme wouldn't ware off, which ended up waring off 6 hours later... So... I can conclude that there was plenty of time to ask as many questions needed. This is where I explained that I hadn't had these questions discussed previously and therefore is crucial to have them answered. Rachel argues and insists that I'v had a consult twice with Desiree based on the "notes" on the computer which were inaccurate. I did not have any consults with Desiree regarding fillers, only laser hair removal over more than a year ago. I blame the person in charge for all of this, whether the workers are dishonest and/or incompetent, full accountability should be taken by Laura the manager. Yet, no accountability was taken. Whether you're also a loyal client or not, which I certainly have been, guess that definitely doesn't fall in with them. I'v been with Rita for probably a little over a year for laser and had planned 3 other future procedures. Like I said, it does not fall in with them. I don't recommend this place. read more

I don't why I waited so long to do this for myself. I have broken capillaries and hyperpigmentation/redness from acne in my youth. I've tried many things over the years, this is the most worth it for me. IPL laser. This clinic is legit & professional. Actual doctors on staff able to prescribe medication if needed. Most med spas don't have that capability. Brings me peace of mind to know that. I'm seeing 60% reduction in broken capillaries and redness immediately after the first session. This is a huge deal for me! I've always had to wear full coverage makeup and felt very self conscious without it. As I'm aging, wearing less makeup is a priority as foundation tends to settle into lines and wrinkles- making me look even older. I had Abby for IPL. She's amazing! I had readied my mind for pain, but it was nearly painless. No numbing needed. Bonus points! My appointment didn't feel rushed, she was very understanding and kind. She made sure to give the more stubborn areas extra attention. I was able to relax after it clicked in my head that I was in good hands and it didn't hurt like I had anticipated. Went for a consult and got bad recommendations for skin care and lack of knowledge regarding the Obagi products they carry. When I tried to exchange a recommended product for one more appropriate for my skin type, was told the alternate product doesn't exist when it actually does. Also told there are no refunds. Grace pumped so much filler into my face I look like a chipmunk with a moth full of nuts. Thousands I spent to look un natural and terrible! In speaking to the manager, Laura she was no help and didn't care. No sympathy at all told me basically it was my problem which Im spending hundreds to get it out/ dilute! They don't care. They just want to sell you more product so they make a commission . The facility itself is beautifully decorated and everything is clean. It's even relaxing to sit in the waiting area before your appointment. When I first went, I felt nervous going to a spa for the treatment I needed since I've done it years ago and it was extremely painful, too expensive, and ineffective. I was extremely disappointed with Bodylase on Creedmoor Rd in Raleigh when I tried to buy a gift card for a 1 hour facial for my wife. Online, even currently, bodylase shows this 1 hour facial for $75. After driving there and trying to purchase this gift card, I was told it was $85, because "it's a really good facial." I went back and forth with the receptionist about how that was false advertisement and that the price shown should reflect the price in store whether they took a loss or not. She refused to get clearance to change the price so I then told her I would find someone in Raleigh who did honor their online pricing. I then saved $25.00 going to Hand and Stone. If you are looking to transform your skin - - RUN (don't walk) to Bodylase and get a facial from Kelly! I cringe when I think of all the money I've wasted at other day spas. Sure, those other places had beautiful waiting rooms and luxurious scented products. But I wasn't seeing results at those other spas. And even though my bathroom counter top was cluttered with fancy (read: expensive) products from these fancy (read: expensive) day spas, my pores were still clogged, my complexion was still splotchy and the dark spots on my face seemed like a neon sign announcing "GIRL WITH CRAPPY SKIN, COMING THROUGH!" But then I found Body Lase, and I haven't looked back. On my first microderm appointment, Kelly and I discussed my concerns and problem areas and she suggested some products that might be helpful. Ok people, don't roll your eyes when she's talking . . . LISTEN. She's going to suggest Obagi products. You might think it's pricey (which it kind of is . . . upfront) but they last a LONNNGGG time (if you use correct portion size) and unlike the pumpkin/blueberry/chocolate/seaweed scrubs,cleansers,and magic potions that other spas suggest . . . these products work (and they only take up a small corner of your bathroom counter top). Quick question: if you're sure that your products are better than the ones she suggests - then why, pray tell, are you seeking out help with your skin? Uh - huh. So listen, turn off your ego, and take in the suggestions. After our discussion, we started the microdermabrasion session. I've had microderm before but never like this. There was cleansing, exfoliating, steaming, extracting, massaging, and microderm-ing. At first, I was genuinely concerned that somehow I was getting a luxury package as opposed to the basic microderm I asked for. When all was done, I crossed my fingers as I went up to the desk to pay thinking that there were going to be massive upcharges for all the luxurious treatments she did during my hour treatment. But nope . . . I was charged the basic price. So TRUST ME when I say that you are getting your money's worth when you get a one hour treatment with Kelly. Stop wasting your time and money at other places. Three sessions with Kelly and my skin is brighter, clearer, the dark spots are pretty much gone. And if my face is saying anything these days it's "GIRL WITH AWESOME SKIN, COMING THROUGH!" read more

I found this place after scouring the internet for the best quality of treatment for the large amount of money I was going to spend, and I am SO glad I chose BodyLase! I got a deal on laser hair removal and got all the things done - upper lip, underarms, a Brazilian, and lower legs. I am a month or two past the completion of the six treatments and I am SO happy with the results. I have a lighter skin tone and a lot of thick, dark hair which is ideal for laser. I was seeing Kelly and, my God, that woman is the cutest thing and she is an absolute angel. She immediately makes you feel SO comfortable and she does such an incredible job! I noticed SUCH a drastic difference from even the FIRST treatment in ALL areas! I recently had a very negative experience here. I have come here twice for microdermabrasion with Kelly. The first time I came, I explicitly mentioned that I wanted the a la carte microdermabrasion, but they put me down for the entire facial which is much more expensive. It was only as Kelly was beginning the procedure that I realized and was able to stop her before having the wrong treatment done and having to pay so much. Now onto the negative experience--both times I have come here I felt like there was way too much pressure/product pushing. I expected it the first time, but this time was just terrible. In fact, I left BodyLase feeling extremely self conscious about my skin which is unfortunate because I have been really happy with the improvement of my skin over the last few months until hearing Kelly today. The way Kelly was speaking, she made it seem like I had this horrible condition using the phrase "this is just the hand you've been dealt and you'll have to work on it for the rest of your life." I think this is an extremely overdramatic and negative thing to say to a client, because my skin isn't that bad--i just have scarring on my cheeks. She also spent the entire time yapping like an infomercial (instead of explaining what she was putting on my face) about their OVER priced products like these vitamin A pills that are no different than your one-a-day daily vitamin. Finally, when I made it clear to her that I could not afford a $100 moisturizer or a $500 acne system, she went on saying "give up that $5 coffee you drink everyday" which made me uncomfortable because she has no idea about my lifestyle or finances, and it's not fair to put so much pressure on someone to buy a product if they genuinely cannot afford it. To me it seems like this place is just about making money and selling products. I will not be returning here or recommending their services. read more
