Unless Ideal Image offers me a FREE session of Botox, commensurate to my expected visit, I will NOT be going back! They were dishonest in their pricing, and TOTALLY changed the price when I got there! I made an appointment with an Ideal Image employee by phone as per their rules. After over an HOUR on the phone, I was quoted a price of $124 for 13 units, by Tara, which included my Allē rewards and another $20 reduction. ALL of this was/is in writing!! (Attached below!). I didn't feel comfortable leaving my Debit Card of file, because I didn't know when I could come back and I had been robbed by several other companies when I had done this previously. I went ahead and supplied my Debit Card with Ideal Image and put money into the account. I was told everything was paid and good to go! I was very excited about my visit! They said it was their policy to charge you up front in case of a no show and I had hesitantly complied. I arrived and to my dismay, there was no available handicap parking and the only place I could walk from to their store was a 10 minute slot. The younger girls were not accommodating or sympathetic to my situation (a broken vertebra) and when I asked where may I park they nonchalantly said "over behind the grocery store" that was significantly too far for me to ambulate. They finally agreed to watch my car.. however I didn't realize I'd be there for over 30 minutes as they were disputing my bill in writing from "a Tara!" When I was in a very uncomfortable chair, with my back aching, the assistant kept leaving and everything seemed to take forever. Finally I said "I think I'll add 2 more units.; that will be then a total of $150 ($13 pu). The assistant left AGAIN and came back 10 MINUTES later and said "oh your previous transaction was cancelled and it will NOW be $144 for just $13 units! We can't offer you the discount our employee Tara gave you!" I was in SHOCK as I had the QUOTE IN WRITING!!! I said "HERE is the quote IN WRITING and it CLEARLY states $124 for 13 UNITS!" As a neurologist on temporary Sabbatical, and a military officer-Persian Gulf War, I have ZERO tolerance for shady people, employees that quote NEW, INCREASED PRICES once you're THERE, and dishonest practices!!! After spending my only free Saturday getting ready and driving 1 HOUR round trip, I turned on my heels and marched out. I drove 52 minutes at 90 degrees in heavy traffic from another town! Ideal Image can give me compensation for the $124, or I will be billing them for my time as a physician, as well as reporting them to the BBB for dishonest pricing and price gouging. I had trouble scheduling my first appointment and once I requested a full refund (it was during the cancellation period) they quickly had availability. For my second appointment, there were issues also! I confirmed my appointment and today I get a call saying they need to switch it and each and every time they try to send me to the Durham establishment!! When I purchased the package I stated the Raleigh office was more convenient and closer for me at the time. Ideal Image ruined my skin. Getting in for an appointment was a huge headache, but that's so unimportant compared to the skin on my face becoming hypopigmented / permanently damaged. I had 1 appointment with them and was treated with IPL. The second time I came in and they took my photos and compared them to the ones from my 1st appointment. They then informed me that they could not treat me again because the uneven skin tone that they were supposed to be helping to fix had actually become much worse. They showed me my photos side by side and they were correct - there were white spots on my face that I'd never seen before! The kicker is that I had laser eye surgery between my 1st and 2nd Ideal Image appointments, so at the second appointment I went in assuming that my skin splotchiness had always been really bad but that my eyes were only now seeing it clearly. What I did not realize was that my skin looked MUCH better before the first Ideal Image appointment. The woman who was going to do the treatment informed me that I should reach out to Ideal Image for a full refund and she apologized for the inconvenience. She also suggested that I may have Vitiligo, and that perhaps the laser had really aggravated what had been a mild case prior to the 1st treatment (?). No one has ever suggested this before, and I know someone with Vitiligo - I don't think that's what it is. But it looks terrible. My face skin has been this way ever since. It is very upsetting to be a man who puts on makeup whenever he goes in public. Oh, also, I did reach out for that refund. Ideal Image informed me that it would not be a full refund - they were keeping $500 since I'd been treated 1x. I was livid and have been ever since, whenever I think about it. I refused the refund entirely because the idea that I paid money for them to ruin my face is so absurd. Honestly, it has taken me a couple of years to write this review because I get upset about the entire experience. Earlier this evening Vitiligo Covering Makeup arrived, which I'm supposed to wear for 8 hours on the spots before washing my face to ensure it stays for a few days. For that reason, I won't be taking any photos. At least not tonight...but once the make-up wears off maybe I'll update this post. Oh yeah, did I mention I'm a therapist? I used to love seeing clients in the office, but now prefer zoom because of my f'ed up face. That is why I'd strongly advise anyone and everyone to avoid Ideal Image. Everyone was pleasant, BUT.....I felt rushed during my consultation and the questions I was asked were great and understandably standard, but I didn't feel as though I was catered to as a unique client. High pressures sales tactics. It Felt like a very cookie cutter process. The consultant ("penny", north hills location) did not reach out to me the next day so I could make a payment over the phone (despite me emailing and calling her as she instructed me to do) so I will be taking my business elsewhere. after reading several Google and yelp reviews though, I am happy I didn't give any of my money to them because they are way over priced and are basically scamming you and provide zero refunds if you change your mind. Okay... but it's one thing where you have a consultation over zoom with a "knowledgeable esthetician" who confirms both the work/services that can be done for me and takes payment out.. Once we went in for the service we were told it couldn't be done for health reasonings. They had already took 2700 for two services. I'm unsure why my experience is so much different than the reviews. I have gone to both the Raleigh and Durham locations and they have always been fantastic. For Botox - both ladies I have worked with were extremely friendly and recommended less than I was previously getting at another med spa. They were super attentive to the locations and listening to the spots I usually had trouble with. For laser hair, I missed my first appt and they called and removed the no show fee then quickly rescheduled. I had the same woman for both the Botox and the laser hair here, and she was fantastic for the laser hair as well. She explained the process, showed me things along the way and made a Brazilian as comfortable as it could be. The app is user friendly and they have amazing prices. I have NEVER in my life spent so much money on something to have such HORRIBLE customer service. It's as if none of them are in communication with each other. I have set up appointments 2 to 3 months prior of my visit just for me to show up and then be canceled without any emails, texts, or phone calls. When my last session here is done I will not be using them again and I recommend anyone not to use them either. WAY too overpriced for the type of service they give you. Absolutely horrible place to do business with. I signed up to have laser hair removal and was mostly done with my treatment except for 3 sessions which I scheduled in time for my wedding. Of course those sessions were cancelled due to covid. I've reached out to their front desk and area manager Michele T-E regarding my remaining appointments that were cancelled due to covid that were booked prior to that. Her response was that "I missed out on exercise classes I paid for that were expensive." This place will clearly sell you anything, have you pay for your services upfront and then back out from holding up their end of the deal. And from the TONS of negative reviews I've seen from Ideal all over the country, unfortunately I am not the only one. I was also supposed to hear back from Michele - but never did. I'm currently a travel nurse and I usually get serviced at their Florida location. I got an early appointment. Thee stafft was super friendly. I had no issue. Based on the reviews I read I was really nervous about coming to this location as it was the closest one to where I was staying at. I drove over an hour. The location in Florida for was about the same driving distance so I didn't mind. Reading the reviews and me very nervous like I said, but to be honest, my experience here was a good one I never had any problems. Everyone was super nice and friendly.I would definitely recommend. I would give 0 stars if I could I was interested in laser hair removal and had a zoom meeting. The rep I had explained the services and then asked to check my credit to see if I apply to their offers. What I thought was just a credit check turned into her basically having me sign a loan through ally. I then called the rep for ally to cancel because I had buyer's remorse and did not want this to effect my credit score. I get another call from them asking why I had done this, so I explained that I no longer wanted to do business with them. She told me that the contract I signed was "legally binding" and I still had to pay the full amount or take out a loan through ally. I was not provided a copy of the contract nor was it explained in the meeting that it was legally binding or non refundable. I was cornered again to sign an upfront fee amount before services. I still have not gone to a single appointment and I do not want to go. I want to cancel my appointment and get a refund because I have not had any services with them. I got a call back from customer service explaining the situation and they refused to give me a refund because "I signed the contract." I admit I made a mistake in not reading through carefully, and I also admit that I do not want services with these people which should be understood but they only care about taking your money. They have you pay for all the treatments up front with the agreement they will provide sessions every 6-8 weeks, and then tell you they can't schedule you for another 4 months. This does not give me the confidence that my treatments are going to work as intended. They cancelled my appointment the day before I was scheduled, were EXTREMELY rude on the phone and talking over me, and made it seem like I was the unreasonable one. Somehow they only have one person that can perform a service I paid over $2000 for and if that person is out then tough luck. I booked full face and underarms laser removal with them and my loan application was accepted but since they were booked out of appointments for over a month, they said they would have to re-do the loan on the day I'm visiting. So I make it to my appointment and the full face laser treatment was only the lower half of my face and neck - apparently nose and forehead doesn't count under face and need to get a added on package for additional $1600 and I called my loan provider to ask regarding the payment start date and they said they haven't received any loan application? So ideal image went ahead and did my procedure without an active payment and now I'm supposed to pay them $500 for one setting ? Could you help me make sense of the customer service?
