This studio is very small so the class usually has 3 or 4 participants. It's where you wanna go if you really wanna feel the "we're all in this together" vibe and more attention on form (as a newbie, especially). After moving to Thousand Oaks in April from Simi, I wanted to take the Lagree classes as I once did in Simi. So I looked around Conejo Valley and found THE perfect place. I absolutely LOVE this place and the results that Dr. Beierle delivers consistently. I used to go to a chiro with all those fancy machines, and lasers, and really wasn't getting a whole lot of results, other than the relief from a back cracking. My wife, recommended Dr. Beierle because she is 'old school' and does everything by hand. Sure I thought. I went in completely broken, and left feeling like a million bucks. Great, I thought, lets see if it lasts. Throughout the week I found myself with almost no lower back and neck pain, stopped my regiment of 'Aleve'. The great thing about her work, is she explains EVERYTHING, not the process but what is actually happening and why. Its like getting the cliff's notes from a master. I've tried a bunch of reformer pilates in the area, and this is by far the best as far as the clean environment, workout, quality of machines, and quality of instruction. Dr. Kristin seriously made my birthday. I was in a substantial amount of pain and went in to their multi-discipline facility for acupuncture. After the acupuncture treatment, I asked about chiropractic and how I really felt I needed my neck adjusted. They called Dr. K, who had left a little bit earlier. She came back in, late in the day, just to see me. Not only did she see me, but she took great care to understand the history of symptoms and the layered onion that I perceive my pain to be. She then worked gently, deftly and accurately to get me back to feeling like one whole person, and with about 70-80% reduction in my pain. Not only all that great stuff above, but her bedside manner is great. I've been to many chiropractors, and she takes the time to understand and comes to your aid with compassion and empathy. Just that can sometimes be the difference between a medical professional and a trusted healer. Guys if your ego is keeping from trying the Megaformer classes, get over yourself and give it a try. A full body workout using your own body weight and added resistance. I guarantee it will kick your butt. Kristin is awesome she will make sure you are doing it right, keeping your form and then she will ramp it up. Kristen is great at keeping the pace, setting you up for the next exercise and correcting your form. She makes these classes fun but you'll be sore the next day. If you haven't tried this you have to give it a try, I believe the first class is free. What do you have to lose except your preconceived ideas of what this is?
