Such fortune to have stumbled upon this hidden gem of a yoga studio through word of mouth. Not the easiest place to find, but that's what is so cool about it. The studio is new and the facility is awesome. the best part however, are the instructors, they are sensational. I've taken a few classes with Desiree and Amy. Desiree makes the class fun and will adjust you when necessary. Amy teaches a very rare type of yoga named Joga, and it beat my ass in the best of ways. The instruction is as personal as it gets, and I've seen them tailor classes to teach everyone from beginners to very advanced. If you are looking for a unique, personal, and uplifting yoga experience, definitely stop by this new studio and give it a try. Amazing all around! I had a groupon that I intended to use at the end of the summer after a summer of water sports camp, but I had to make an unexpectedly quick move back to North Carolina. After explaining my situation she was super understanding and got me in before I moved by coming in early on a Saturday. I was already so pleased and hadn't even met her yet! When I got there she was super friendly and had a nice, air conditioned place. This was my second cupping as I went to a different place a year ago and enjoyed the experience. However, I wish I'd just known about Marsha from the start! Rather than a quick massage and me being left with the cups, I received an amazing massage while the cups sat. She was so good at finding the pain without me having to say a word, she even found pain I didn't know I had, but man was she good at getting all those knots out! I'm not one who gets regularly scheduled massages but I wanted to change that because most masseuses tell me my back is hard as a board or rock, plus I'm a migraine sufferer who carries stress and tension in the upper back and shoulder area. In my quest to find "my massage therapist", I purchased a handful of Groupons for different businesses in 2017. All of them were about the same average treatment, EXCEPT for Masha. She definitely stands out amongst the others. (I'm a little late with this review but I just saw her last month, which reminded me how awesome she is and that I had to share my review.) Her deep tissue massage does wonders for me; she gets all the knots and spots. I leave feeling almost too relaxed to drive :) And no more 1hr session for me; I've converted to a must-have 90-minutes. :) I want to try her cupping services (I've done it elsewhere about 15 years ago) and maybe try out one of her foam yoga classes. I cannot say enough how incredible this find is! I have been practicing yoga for close to 20 years. Lately I have been doing more high impact work oust and have wanted to get back to yoga and meditation to balance out. Its always a struggle to get back into it with huge, non-personal classes. Well, Hidden Gem is the exact opposite. The very small class size and incredibly personable instructors put you in a state of calm before class even starts. After going only once, everyone knew my name and made me feel very welcome. It is in the same office suite as a dispensary, but you don't have to be a member to go to yoga or get a massage. I'm just getting back into yoga, and my room mate told me to check this place out. The classes are small, but the instruction is a lot more 1-on-1 and has been great. The studio is very serene and definitely nicer than most of the places I've seen. I've been to several classes now and have been able to check out a few of their instructors. Its a nice mix of of teachers and classes, and everyone has been very knowledgeable. They've had me working on some tough poses, and to my surprise, I can already see a difference. My first visit to Masha was last week. Masha was excellent at working out stress points and knots in my neck, shoulders, arms and back. I've had massages before but none that have worked out my knots this well. Beofer starting, Masha discussed what specific problem areas I had and what type pressure and massages I like or dislike. During the massage, she checked to be sure pressure was OK and I was doing OK. I already booked a second massage for next week and hope to continue with monthly massages to help prevent those horrible knots and discomfort from returning. Definitely recommend Masha. read more
