    Making truffles by hand.

I'm a homeschooling mom who took my kids here for the tour on a field trip. WOW did this place blow my expectations out of the water. Narissa our tour guide did an EXCELLENT job showing us not only the factory but the incredible grounds that include Julius Boehm's home, a replica of an incredible Swiss Chalet and Chapel. My kids absolutely loved learning about the history and seeing all of the relics. Then, of course, there was the factory tour. Who doesn't love chocolate samples straight from the source? I love this company's commitment to doing things the old fashioned way despite it being less efficient and profitable than a larger scale operation. We saw a woman tempering chocolate and forming truffles by hand. We had the best time, learned so much, and came away with a delicious haul of chocolates, advent calendars, and other gifts. 1000/10 would recommend taking this tour.

Get this and thank me later. They make it right in front of you. The chocolate layer is so thick and decadent. And there are nuts (I'm pretty sure hazelnuts!?) on the outside that compliment everything perfectly. The ice cream is also some high quality tasting delicious stuff. Service was fast plus easy parking.

Main entrance, plenty of parking and the factory to the left along the back side. (202603)

Excellent selection of milk, dark and sugar free chocolates and other treats. Service is friendly and warm. Ice cream treats also available. Pro tip: Order by the piece instead of filling a box - better price performance although their many preboxed selections are great for grab and go. Right off of I-90 and fairly accessible if you use your map navigation app. Quiet and uncrowded in the afternoons on weekdays. Enjoy yummy pieces of history and tradition at this Barbarian themed location.

Beautiful day for a drive so we took a little trip to Boehms in Issaquah. I grew up in Poulsbo and Boehms Poulsbo has been a staple for all my chocolate needs. Needless to say I was excited to go to the flagship store. First thing you notice when you come in of the amazing smell of the very best chocolate. We were promptly greeted and given a delicious sample. After poking around weade our purchase from Shanna(sorry, probably misspelled). Shanna was so sweet and easily made recommendations of things to try that the Poulsbo location doesn't carry as well as some she enjoys herself. She did an excellent job of making it known they offer tours and chocolate making classes. We will definitely try both in the future. Shanna got me signed up for their new rewards program which I will no doubt be taking full advantage of. Loved the grounds outside. We took a moment to enjoy the scenery, take some photos, and enjoy some of our treats. Wonderful little outing! I didn't go into depth about the chocolate because it truly speaks for itself. I feel spoiled growing up on Boehms chocolate and believe nothing beats it. I've tried chocolate shops all over and Boehms is just the perfect chocolate.

This place is worth stopping at. Nice assortment of chocolates and sweets. After stopping in the the shop walk aroudn the property and check out the very cool landscape, statues, and chapel. Friendly staff, ample parking.

I felt like I was in little Bavaria heaven. We absolutely loved the chocolate covered nut bananas we bought, and they sold a variety of chocolates at decent prices. It was raining off and on the day we came so we almost missed out on the side of chocolate shop that has history displays and a self guided tour with special chocolate history displays. Staff gave us a few samples of chocolate and were very welcoming. I wish the chapel on site was open for visitors and that staff would have told us about the informal chocolate tour on the side of the building. According to some on Yelp, They also give regular tours too but, we did not know about this either during our visit. Otherwise, it was a fantastic place to visit with lots of history . I would definitely go back. It's a special place that was a treat to visit.

Such a cool place! It's unbelievable and amazing that all the chocolate is handmade! Probably what adds to its deliciousness Got a tour and service was excellent, welcoming, and warm throughout! Also, it's awesome that it's still family-owned!

Great little tour on a cute little campus. Reasonably priced tickets and the gift shop had an array of options for different budgets. The tour guide seemed like he'd done 30 of them already that morning, but was still friendly and knowledgeable. The kids (4y and 3y) were into it the whole time.

We ordered little 2 pack favor boxes of Boehm's chocolates as remembrance favors for my Mother's Celebration of Life... chocolates were one of her passions, LOL. Boehm's did a wonderful job. the tiny boxes came with little handles just perfect for tying a ribbon to attach a card to each box. They looked charming on the tables at the luncheon. Best of all was watching all the guests enjoying them and then trying to figure out how to ask their neighbor 'if they wanted theirs'? I wanted to attach a photo since I didn't see any of this type of packaging and it's such a nice item. Not inexpensive, but really nice quality and a great presentation.

The candy was delicious!!! The staff were super nice. We stopped to watch them make toffee and and hand make chocolate. We walked around their beautiful garden while we ate our delicious chocolate. We are hoping to come there again for a chocolate tour. My new favorite candy store!!

Understand this might be a franchise or mom and pop owned, but quality issues should be a priority rather than putting items out for consumers that only find out after they left. Set up: this pastry shop is veryyyyyyy cozy atmosphere! I can see myself sitting here enjoying coffee with friends, or studying here! Love the lighting, the stained glass windows.. ADORABLE!!! Order: Black Sesame Kouign Ammans. The black sesame was mixed into the dough. I have previously only had them where the filling is black sesame. I love this pastry because of the buttery salty caramelization of the pastry dough as it cooks in the solid metal pan with the proper heat. Having it mixed into the dough was a solid 4/5 stars. My personal preference would be to have it as a filling so you can taste more of the caramelization on the dough and not coupled with the black sesame. I was definitely missing that aspect. It was still an ABOVE average pastry! Pastry filled with Ube cream. Yall I had to sit on face time while my boyfriend and his nephew enjoyed this pastry! I was so jealous, they weren't even talking. I'm asking questions while they were shoveling their pastries and moaning with sheer delight! WOULD I ORDER AGAIN: ABSOLUTELY!!!! Black Sean's enjoying Ammans are hard to come by!!! And now I feel like I need to try this Ube pastry that causes ungodly noises!

When I went there in the afternoon, I could see they had sold out of a lot of things but there were just a few options: cookies, some savory breads, a sweet bread loaf. I purchased the cinnamon swirl bread loaf for $7 which is pricier than the grocery store but cheaper than some artisan bakers at the farmer's market. They also offer coffee and tea drinks at a reasonable price, and whole pies and cakes to order (if I remember correctly). When I got home and tried the bread, I was floored with how good it was. The sweetness and firmness of the bread was just perfect to me. The outer crust is a beautiful brown and just thick enough to provide a little texture and flavor. The swirl is done well - there are no big pockets in the bread. The crumb is compact but not dense. It is easy to slice and enjoyable toasted or as is. I ate it alone, with nut butter, with jam. It would be wonderful as french toast. I dream about the bread and wish I lived closer to purchase it once a week. I also got a gingerbread man cookie which was perfectly seasoned and not dry. Note that the customer area in the front is kind of small so this place is mostly for take-out. I'd like to come back and try more things to see how well they do their other baked goods.
