    $28 bottle
    Kathryn G.

I had a bad encounter last time i went . I bought a bottle of champagne and on the menu it stated $28 and it also stated $28 on the small menu but when the lady rang it up it was ringing up as $34 even though it said everywhere it was $28 . she simply stated sorry idk who makes them menus lol and didn't bother to try and figure out why it was like that or really do anything about it . This was very irritating. The food wasn't great either sadly for the price you pay it should be better. The shrimp and grits were cold and odd tasting with goat cheese. My chicken salad sandwich was soggy :/ the french fries were good! Didn't like my chi tea but i will say im really picky about my chi. The french toast wasn't anything spectacular. I really wanted to say good things but i really don't have a lot of things to say. The service wasn't all that great either we were very thirsty during our time. Parking is hard , only one bathroom. there is a very cute boutique that they share with that has absolutely the cutest things in there. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very cute and I have had the power bars which are super yummy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Spinach Quiche with side salad and house dressing

Seated immediately after being greeted by the hostess. Shortly afterwards Aubrey came to greet us and we ordered drinks while looking over the menus. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience is charming and chic, elevated bistro style. Local artist's paintings decorate the walls throughout the restaurant, love this touch! Social media worthy backdrop located in rear of restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a bakery at the entrance as well and a lovely boutique about midway through the restaurant, I found some great deals there. I digress, lol. Back to the food...I ordered the spinach quiche, delicious that came with a side salad and house dressing. So scrumptious and filling. Definitely would recommend and order again. Also, the owner, Raymond, came and greeted us and introduced himself and inquired as to how we were enjoying our food. Of course we told him that our meals and service was wonderful and we had already eaten there several times in as many weeks. He seemed pleased and he invited us back. Also a big shoutout to Aubrey, very good service (kept the drinks refilled and attentive, friendly and sweet). When she had found out that my birthday had just passed she insisted on bringing me a dessert from their bakery. Thank you again, Aubrey! I was too full to eat the chocolate cupcake with cream middle but demolished it later at home, epic!! Please come and check it out if you're in the area, a must try!!

We really enjoyed our breakfast here. They didn't have any wait staff so it was counter service. Everyone was so pleasant and friendly. The food was great and the coffee was so good. It has been so hard to find coffee as good as the café in Australia but this was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was also so cute. I love when an old building is restored and they leave pictures and notes about it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely want to be back

True miss for me. Service was incredibly lacking and pastries completely tasteless. Long story short, this was a traditional Boerne stop. Boerne visit, Denger pastry. But, this was the last time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Denger is a very quaint and charming place. Maybe, less quiant this time around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered a small pie and a cookie with frosting. We also order two coffees. The coffee was terribly bitter. I couldn't finish mine. Both desserts were flavorless and bland. They also were not cheap. But, the straw that broke the camel's back, was the way we were treated. Previously, one could purchase dessert, and coffee, then sit down somewhere. It was quirky because they also had staff serving at the tables. This time around, when we sat down, we were told the system had changed. Next time, stop at the hostess area. I understand change, I didn't get the attitude, because it was a scolding. So recap, desserts, and coffee, terrible, and service: rude and patronizing. Do not recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is beautiful, and everyone was so welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner, Raymond, even came by to introduce himself and even offered something special for the children. Raymond is very personable. He personally recommended a few items from their menu. The EGGS CIBOLO did not disappoint! The egg whites frittata with goat cheese, spinach, tomatoes, and avocado was absolutely delicious, as was the deep dish spinach quiche. The kids' pancakes were a hit too. Highly recommend!

First time here on cool brisk Saturday morning in February 2026. Walked in and serviced a table quick I was expecting to wait a bit. Had the Dienger omelette with potato chips. Enjoyed the meal! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The store in the rear of the restaurant was cool.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Was in Boerne for the day and we decided to swing by for lunch upon a recommendation. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a really cute place with a coffee counter, cafe, boutique, and a snowcone stand.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was clearly new and very young, but he was very polite and doing his best! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Honestly, the other customers really ruined the good vibes here!! Some of the strangest interactions all around us.... Other guests complaining about the service and being rude to the servers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One man was very inappropriate with one of the young ladies working behind the counter. Come on people, do better. You're eating lunch in a weekday in a smaller town that's probably serviced by young people. Be decent. The food was alright, but not memorable. Croissants at Costco are better.

Whew the wait was long! Luckily they have a million things to look at while you wait. This place is a bistro and boutique. When we finally got seated, 3 of us decided to not split a bottle for mimosa's and opted to have our very own bottles and we had a time!!! The mimosa's were flowing from my own bottle so I soaked it up with the egg white frittata and French toast with vanilla custard. I didn't think the egg white frittata was going to fill me up but it actually did. It was a light full not a heavy full. I got heavy full when I ate the French toast. Our waiter did his best to be attentive and keep up with our group of 5. I think with the crowded bistro it was hard for him to be consistent with our table. I thought the style of The Dienger was appropriate for Boerne and the trading co.

Ron the manager came over to the table to chat and see how everything was. To me, this is the epitome of great management. Super! My first impression is always biscuits and sausage gravy. These guys know how to do it: perfect fluffy biscuits smothered with a savory sausage gravy. Absolutely delicious. I love renovated buildings. No exceptions here, beautifully restored buildings! Nice gift store. Definitely a must do destination in Boerne!

A great location in a lovely historical building. Servers and staff tentative and helpful. I had the "huevos rancheros" it was the "dish with the most flavor" . I found it flavorless. The black beans were season free as well as the eggs. The only thing with flavor was the roasted veg and I wasn't sure why they were calling it huevos rancheros, two eggs over easy and a side of breakfast potatoes and flavorless bean paste would have been more on point. The cappuccino tasted bitter and burnt, I added a load of sugar to make it palpable. If you are looking for a lovely setting this place is fantastic...try the croissant breakfast sandwich. It got good reviews.

Forgot to take a picture before we ate! French toast, omelette, biscuit and gravy.

Ask the Community - The Dienger Trading

Are there gluten free options available?

They have some breakfast items that are full item free and they tend to modify orders. Eggs and bacon with coffee is probably the limit to gluten items. I haven't noticed any gluten free bakery items

Is this a good place to study at?

Yes, just take headphones just in case there is a big lunch or dinner rush
