We arrived on a Monday around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. They do have a private lot, which is really nice given that parking is at such a premium in this area. They have an indoor and an outdoor seating area although the indoor area is a little small, but people were sitting at the bar when we went. They have a decent selection of beers available. My husband got the Helles lager and I opted for the pineapple ale. Surprisingly the pineapple is super super light and I barely tasted any at all. Helle's lager was OK. The bartender was super friendly though, we really enjoyed her. The ambience wasn't quite our scene so we continued on with our plans for the day but glad we stopped in

My favorite brewery in all of St. Augustine:) no I'm serious, I'm here minimum once a week. Gives such a cozy at home vibe, but brewtenders are all so fun and sweet. Shout out Bri, Anya, Rick and Andrew, you guys keep the city fun.

Flight + shirt. I'm just not realizing how blurry this is. Sorry!

Love a place with flights. $2 samples of each and I don't think you have to fill up all 5 slots. The beers change often. There's seating inside and outside. It was tough to get a spot on Saturday night. The place gets pretty packed. There's a food truck that closes at 8pm. We had fun!

This bar is fun and they have a taco truck onsite. We had the smoked datil ale beer and the festbier beer. The smoked datil ale had a subtle spice at the end. It wasn't too spicy. 9/10 datil

This tiny little speck of a brewery is located in the dumpiest part of St. Augustine on King St. it's an old store, warehouse or some such thing. Exposed brick, wood ceiling beams, etc...industrial chic. Barkeep was spending most of his energy yapping with his loudmouth pals at the bar rather than taking care of other paying folks. Well, once a couple of the loud ones left, we sat at the bar and became part of the small crowd. Barkeep started including us into the conversation and so did the remaining apparent regulars. Meantime, kinda loud rock and alternative playing overhead; made for relaxing vibe. Amidst/alongside the bar is the brewery itself; very compact but they make all their own stuff, be it bottles or kegs. I stuck with the Pilsner and Queen Bee with Smoked Datil Ale; the latter had a real kick of locally grown red pepper. Wow! Both were quite crisp and clean in the flavor department. We shoulda got here earlier, because as we sat here we both came closer to feeling like friends rather than afterthoughts. However after the owner replied to me with a snarky reply of my review, I took away a star; hence 3 rather than the 4 it deserves. I've never seen anyone get so bloody offended and personally hurt by a 4-star review. Good luck in your venture, Steven. Glad to say you won't ever see me again since I don't live anywhere near here anyway. Way to go for customer care!

You can tell Bog Brewing is a small batch brewery with a brewer who is not afraid to take risks.  Sours require Wild yeast which can do some crazy things to beer.  Both the Saisons are sour and have some very interesting flavor profiles.  And the smoke Datil is absolutely amazing. There is a tap room inside and plenty of outside seating.  Parking is on the side of the building. The BEER: Sun Rips... NEIPA  DIPA 7.9% ABV...  the description says tons of papaya, and that's what I got too.  It is a great drinking IPA. Sans Orange IPA 6.3% ABV... orange and grapefruit, it's quite good Smoked Datil Ale 5% ABV... smooth tasting with a bite at the end.  Really liked this one. Saison de Muscadine 9.6% ABV... this is a really sneaky sour.  It is delicious and the ABV is masked by that deep white grape flavor. O.A.M.C. Saison (Oak Aged Mixed Culture) 7.6% ABV... didn't love this one, mostly because I am not into grass or hay Black Oat Lager 5.3% ABV... malty and easy drinking, very good Winter Bock 7% ABV... this should be called winner bock, it is a winner! West King Haze IPA 6.5% ABV... hazy, juicy and wonderful It is good to know that there is some great, creative and interesting beer in St. Augustine FL.  Bog Brewing represents that statement fully.

Feeling bogged down? Well worth the detour when in the St. Aug area, Bog Brewery is great respite from the road. Grab a flight of #tastethebeerrainbow or a pint from their variety of beer options and styles then take a seat in the fun (and comfy!) barrel chairs. Beers here are true to style and staff is friendly and welcoming. Love discovering new breweries #ontheroad

What a cool place!!!! This is a hole in the wall kind of place. If you aren't looking for it you will miss it. They had parking behind the building which was a plus. The staff was super friendly and helped me find the perfect beer (they gave me 4 samples of beers until I found the one I liked) their shirt logos are absolutely amazing and all though I would have loved a shirt I ended up getting just a sticker. This place is a must visit!!!!

Super cute and chill. It's within walking distance of the Saint Augustine wedge house - friends' Airbnb. Definitely a little hole in the wall. Mostly locals were in there with their dogs. Small bar area inside with a few tables. There are a few patio tables outback With a nice graveled area and umbrellas. They also have a food trucks on the weekend it looks like. The beer was good. Great price at $5. Limited menu, but can find something for just about everyone. Staff was friendly Prices are reasonable Service was quick Photogenic spot/cool for chillin' Quality beer

Fantastic Czech lager! The stout is also a great choice! Parking is easy, outdoor and inside seating, and good service.

I really enjoyed this brewery! We were a group of 4, and we all ordered flights - 5 samples per flight. Everything I tried from IPA to their sour was delicious. We sat outside at a picnic table then ventured indoors to order more and to play some of their games they have. This is definitely one of my fave breweries in the area.

Great ambiance with decent beers and okay service. We ordered a flight of five beers...Sun Rips beer was our favorite beer out of the five. They had a food truck there...Taco's My Blessing...that was fantastic! We had the three tacos, 2 chicken and 1 beef, and they were super flavorful. We will visit again and hopefully have better luck on the beers!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit here when we were on a mini vacation to the St. Augustine area. We came in when it was a slower time for the place/prior to them getting busy. Our beer tender was super friendly and helpful. We tried a variety of beers - the Belgian Witbier; Beach House IPA; Black lager; Leichtbier; and the cream ale. Everything was delicious. We also liked the reverse osmosis water they had onsite as well. This is a great brewery stop to visit when you're in the St. Augustine area!

Each time we've visited we have had wonderful experiences. Everyone is always a joy to interact with. Lexi had a large group during our first visit and then just the two of us the second time. Both times we walked out with our favorite spirits and some new ones. The peanut butter whiskey is always a staple and this one is my favorite. We now have a new addition to our must-have collection, mango datil whiskey. I dont even mix these with anything as they are incredibly smooth. Can you? Sure. But why? The spirits also change out and I'm a little sad that the cookie dough whiskey will become seasonal (that one did mix well with the peanut butter and caramel). But the new key lime pie rum was delicious and the coconut rum is another favorite. Was there anything we didn't like? I am not a fan of the roasted pecan whiskey but I can appreciate why others will enjoy it. In our tasting, Lexi swapped that one out for me so I didn't miss out. The care and joy the team has is palpable and a must stop when visiting the St Augustine area. Big fan and we now stop by multiple times each visit to sample and take home our favorites. Im excited to try the new rye whiskey on a future visit. One thing to keep in mind is that the tasting used to be free and now costs $5. Personally, I don't mind since there is a $5 coupon to use in the store that can be stacked so it becomes essentially free but it's a relatively recent change (the same applies to the nearby St Augustine Distillery and San Sebastian Winery). Do I wish that this one was still free? Of course. Will it stop me from visiting? Nope. It just breaks up my purchases so I can apply the cost each time. (And it's much better than the winery which gives you a plastic cup...nice but not really repeatable.) Overall, City Gate continues to be my favorite Distillery for flavored spirits. Thanks for always providing a great experience and product! And thank you to Lexi for being awesome!
