Table of 6 on a Sunday at 6pm, a super nice day out on the patio overlooking the golf course. Whitefish chowder - very watery. More of a soup than a chowder. Potatoes were...al dente. Choices were made in the kitchen. I would recommend they make different ones in the future. Who knows, tho, maybe watery chowder is your thing and you prefer your potatoes just barely to the right of crunchy. Beet salad - the tiny beet cubes are hard to fork...but there are a generous amount of them! Tons of goat cheese. I added candied pecan pieces and it was a great compliment. A perfectly serviceable salad. Oddly enough, could have used more lettuce. Whitefish sandwich with fries - we love salt, but there's an upper limit and these fries hit it. For once in life...could have used less salt. The sandwich itself was only so so. Could have used more fish and less sauce. Nothing in this had very much flavor, unfortunately. Not great, for the price. The view makes this place, for sure. Very nice outdoors under the veranda on a sunny summer day. Service was very friendly and knowledgeable. They got very busy and we had to flag them down for the bill after a while, but they were otherwise great! read more

We went to the Leland Lodge for dinner last night. We wanted to check out the new chef and menu. The restaurant looked the same but the menu really changed. Very pricey now. We started with the rolls they were warm and good. Our drinks were served then we ordered. My husband ordered the broiled oysters on the half shell. They were just ok . smelled bad . would not recommend. I ordered the chicken breast parmigiano - very bland no flavor. my neighbor ordered the chicken pot pie- said it was ok not great. my husband ordered the crabmeat stuffed fresh lemon sole- would not recommend. The crab was very mushy with little flavor. We enjoyed the restaurant much more when it was Bogeys 19th Hole. Sadly we will not return. read more

A comedy of errors led my husband and I to this random restaurant inside a golf club. Pros: No wait, which is nice during tourist season. Cons: Maybe there's a reason why there's no wait. Food was very bland American menu and way overpriced. I paid approx. $20 for a basket of fried fish and fries. My husband ordered a burger and a bowl of soup and our total bill came to about $60 for very boring food that we could get for $10 at a fast food restaurant. Flavor and quality was very mediocre. There were a few flies buzzing around. Atmosphere felt very outdated. I would def go somewhere else next time I'm in the area! read more

Bogey's 19th Hole - Fried perch basket - Bars Near Me - Leland, Michigan

I've been coming here for years. The food is generally quite good, but the key is the huge patio overlooking the golf course. It's a beautiful view and you can sit and laugh out of all of the elderly women who yell at each other on the hole in front of you. Seriously, virtually every time I've been here it's only been senior ladies golfing...not sure why. But, onto the food. I was disappointed that the menu was quite scaled back even more this year. However, the burger and pulled pork sandwiches were still really good. Get their sweet potato fries and the honey mustard (that's the sauce that looks sort of like floating seeds in the one picture)....they are amazing! The salad was uninspired, but seriously, it's a salad. The staff is usually pretty friendly. Our server started out good but got super annoyed when I asked for another ranch dressing because a fly literally landed in it as soon as she put it down. Otherwise, she did bring everything quickly and correctly. I definitely recommend this place and bring family here often. read more

This is the restaurant in the Leland Lodge. Love the evening staff. Nice mix of younger and older folks--locals and tourists. Food is great too. Great, approachable food. We tried burgers, salads, fish, tacos and dessert and all were really good. Anything with the pulled pork is a must. Owners are from Texas originally! I also loved the salads with an added protein--large and fresh. Tasty drinks and pretty good prices for high quality comfort food. No reservations accepted and often a wait but the area is beautiful and we enjoyed meeting interesting folks at the bar too. read more

This establishment was recommended when we stayed at the Whaleback Inn in Leland. I wanted perch and I wasn't disappointed. Got the perch basket and it was delicious. The home made potato chips were outstanding. Service was great and the view from the outside dining area was beautiful. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. read more

We made three visits to Bogey's at the Leland Lodge during our two week stay in Leland and have zero complaints! It's perfect for after a round of golf, and is only a short walk from Main Street. The wait staff is great this summer! The pork quesadillas were the best quesadillas we've ever had. The Marie burger was excellent. Nice selection of local beers and wines. We sat on the porch overlooking the golf course each time. If it's a little chilly but you want the view, they have some very powerful heaters! I want the pulled pork without the bun and with extra pork, and they generously accommodated with no extra fee (and lots of extra pork with yummy cole slaw). read more

My husband and I dined at this restaurant today. My husband's dinner was served with a bug in the cole slaw. They offered to replace the meal, which we agreed. When the bill came, we were still Charged for both meals. When I asked if they would be willing to comp my husbands dinner for our inconvenience and disgust, I was told by the manager that because they replaced the meal, they wouldn't be taking it off. After a short argument the manager gave us 20% off my husband's dinner, which amounted to about $4. This in my opinion was not enough, and we only got that after arguing. Will never return to this place! read more

I only ended up here because nothing else was open for dine in at end of season. The view is beautiful. The restaurant was not very busy on a Tuesday at lunch. My sister ordered a Caesar salad with chicken and I ordered a Blue cheese wedge salad. The Caesar salad was very dry, powdered Parmesan cheese and no croutons. We were told that they were out of croutons (they are so easy to make!). My sister sent it back for more cheese and salad dressing. It still looked dry. The chicken was dry and flavorless. My Blue cheese salad was ok. Usually served on a wedge of iceberg lettuce but I think because it was end of season they only had romaine lettuce. The service was not great. My sister got cold coffee and I was never asked or given a refill on iced tea. read more

Allow me to recap my evening at Bogey's, rather unfortunately named after a bad golf score. I wish it could be Mulligan's. As in, I'll take one. We were seated on the porch at approximately 7:45, a party of nine. A sign advertised that there would be live country music and a bonfire on the porch at 9:30. The bland country music began at 8:30, replacing an already too loud iPod mix of bland country music. It took a while to get our drink orders. When my fiancee was served her wine, there was lipstick on the glass. Other glasses appeared to have specks of other diners' flotsam on them. Anticipating it might take a while to flag down our server, I find her inside and ask for a new glass. She emerges 15 minutes later with the wine. We finish our round of drinks by the time our server returns to take our dinner orders. So we all get more drinks...and wait for our dinner. And wait. And wait some more. More than an hour goes by and we start wondering what the heck is going on. We look around and see no one else has their food either. Everyone on the porch looks grumpy. We get more drinks. A manager-type comes by with a free appetizer to sate us as we wait. It's a caprese salad on sticks, with little pieces of bread sitting atop olive oil. Tasty, but the three sticks of caprese didn't really tide over our party of nine. We ask about the status of our order a few times. Eventually it comes out. My fiancee's chicken is lukewarm and has artificial grill marks on it. Her asparagus are limp and cold. Finally my whitefish tacos arrive. They are terrible. Like tuna out of a can with a generous help of mayo and ranch dressing in supermarket tortillas. We're asked if we want dessert. We do not. But we are ready for the check, which is promptly dropped on our table. Our server scurries away. read more

Had a great lunch near end if o Who would think that texas bbq was available at a small place in northern mi? Ribs were awesome. Server was very busy so I was patient and it is the right thing to do. I knew I was taking a chance when there were no yelp reviews of this place. Newly renovated, on the golf course at Leland lodge. Huge outdoor deck overlooking the course was nice. Diners at my table raved about the ribs. I ordered the slider trio it was o.k. the pork was the best and this would be a good pick from the menu. Several ordered the chicken and waffles and enjoyed it. They were busy and service was good but food was very slow. Everything is a la carte. Sandwiches do not come with fries. I ordered the sweet potato fries and they were good. Only 2 stars because it seemed over priced and nothing special. Heres a tip for a group. Order the pitcher of beer. Fat Tire on tap and way cheaper to order pitchers. read more

First, our food was delicious. It absolutely was wonderful. However, my friend and I ordered a bottle of wine to share but then the bartender came out and informed us that the $27 bottle of wine we ordered was not available. They offered us another bottle to try and we liked it so we just took that one. When we got our bill we were charged for the $86 bottle of wine! We were never told the price difference of what we ordered and what we were given. The manager ended up giving it to us at cost: $50 and taking off $24 of food. Chowder was great, bbq pulled pork was very good (especially for coming from so far north! (The South generally has the best bbq)), and the sweet potato fries had a sweet drizzle. I love the Leland Lodge! I love that it's been painted white on the outside and redecorated on the inside. I love that it has nice views. Unfortunately, that's it. The food is horrible. Last week the burger was inedible - I believe they must have pulled the patty from the freezer and boiled it. After one taste it was returned to the kitchen. Yuck! The service is deplorable. My son-in-law was with a group of 20 (yes 20) thirsty golfers. Last week after a round of golf, they popped into Bogeys for a drink (or two). They waited about 20 minutes on the empty deck (the bar was empty too) and the bartender and waiters never served them! An opportunity missed. PLEASE get it together, Leland Lodge! read more
