There is a lovely little outdoor area tucked between buildings. Mostly this review is about the best kale salad I have every had. I need to know how they made it. It was pretty simple, but the kale was so tender and the dressing so creamy. read more

The food was average. When you can't swap out something as simple as American cheese for Swiss on your burger, something is wrong. Ordered medium, more like medium well. Service was also about average. Nothing out of the ordinary. I did order a glass of wine from a local winery that was terrible and I ended up sending it back - generally that gets removed from the bill. It didn't, so I paid for the crappy wine and the beverage I ordered to replace it. Outdoor seating is nice. I don't think I'd make the effort to go back when there's a great restaurant just down the street. read more

Just meh. I wouldn't go back unless it was summer and I could sit outside with a cocktail. It was freezing cold inside. The gentleman behind us and couple in front of us concurred. Food took a good while but they were nearly at capacity so grace given. Just hard waiting because we were wearing our coats and so cold. Hands, legs, feet. I initially ordered nachos which the chicken. Hubby had mushroom Swiss burger. I tried to persevere thru nachos (guac was great!!) but they weren't good. Cold scoop of rice. Soggy chips due to black beans not being strained. Waitress (Sam) didn't come back for awhile. She offered to get me something else. I declined initially but then decided to get a smash burger. It was great, fries were fresh & hot. Truly delightful. Now let's talk about the bathrooms. Clean and beautiful. Love the decor! Black hex tile with black grout, adorned with gold metal base trim. Stopped into this great food and bar place on the main Northport , MI town. This was the Old Garage and what a great find. Dan started us off with really great drink suggestions and a killer margarita. The. Our food was so good and surprisingly gourmet. They have a wizard in the kitchen and our tomatillo salsa was to die for. The queso and Guacamole was also great. But the kicker was the cauliflower curry tacos and elite corn tacos. The food is fairly good and the service is pleasant. Both the live music on Friday and the live DJ on Saturday are really out of place in a quiet lakeside village. I think the live music and the DJ are probably great in a bigger city or at a club, but I come to Northport for the peace & quiet and the low key beach vibes. I hope the owners reconsider blasting the loud music when we just want a tasty meal in a beautiful village on the bay. read more

This was one of those places you walk into and think to yourself ... "this is really something". The atmosphere and prices suggest the food will be splendiferous. But ... it's just ... good. "Good" ain't so bad right? I got Baja tacos that were ... good. We had chips and guacamole as well which was ... good. My husband got the smoked shrimp po boy. I didn't taste it. But the bun to filling ratio was less than desirable: so much bread! (So little filling). We both had nonalcoholic drinks and our total was over $57. The server was very kind and knowledgeable. But the kitchen was SLLLLOOOOWWW. We had quite the wait for our ... good ... food. Two patrons near us got tired of waiting to have their orders taken and got up and left. The food was good, the service mediocre. If you are a patriot do not visit this establishment! There is a large picture of one of our founding fathers with red paint thrown all over it in the bathroom. Will never go there again and will be telling all of my conservative, patriotic friends to not go there if they are ever in Northport MI. DISGUSTING display! The food is amazing! We are locals and love this new place. My favorite is the El Pastor but also really like the Carne. My partner has had the Pastor Nachos, the Pulled Pork and the Whitefish, all of them excellent. We also enjoyed The decor and ambiance and the service was great. read more

This is the same location as The Garage but it is now Gingers Crossed. The owners have taken Northport food and cocktails to a whole new level! We sat at the bar and had beautiful cocktails and the best gourmet tacos I've had since living in LA. Devon helped me find the perfect wine and Dan made a fabulous raspberry margarita for my friend. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable plus they have plenty of staff making the service more personal. The owners have put a lot of work into the indoor aesthetics and outdoor patio. Crossed Fingers is a great reason to come to Northport! read more

I went there last night and it was okay. Service and reception felt a bit scattered and the menu was explained poorly. The actually menu itself was alright but was definitely limited. Fish sandwich was very good however side options are limited. Relatively pricey for the quality of food you receive. The vibe of the restaurant is okay but there were a lot of flies around the outdoor seating. 3 stars. read more

Sooooo i live outside northport and i wanted to like "fingers crossed. " It was busy as hell on a friday in oct. First complaint, no TVs in the bar. What the hell? Anyway, I said at the far end of the bar where the drinks are being served, and it was very uncomfortable with the drinks piling up right next to me so we moved. The bartenders were working very hard . I was so sad to see no quesadilla on the menu and was told there are no more. So I ordered a Smashburger. It was smaller than a kid Happy meal at McDonald's. The fries were undercooked. The meal was sufficient to serve a toddler. Was so disappointed because I do not want to come back again . So sad!!! read more

Their idea of a taco is far from what it should be. As is their weird sugary lake on top of their flan, no words. Their uninspired cocktails are just not good. Their waiter and waitresses are wonderful though. What a shame. I plan to never return. read more
