Delicious pizza spot in Beavercreek! Came here while visiting family here, stopped by this pizza place while after we went shopping a bit in the mall area. This is such a nice area to have a pizza joint. Casual atmosphere, we were seated right away. Service was great, we got the pork nachos as an appetizer, lots of jalapeños very spicy my boys loved it. I got the Pepperdew pizza it was really good, I love goat cheese and it was nice and sporadically placed on the pizza, not too much not too little. This place has gone down si ce my last few visits to be honest. But let us start with the good. Place was busy for a Friday night, we got a table about 25 to 30 minutes. Waitress was nice, and I absolutely appreciated her attention to detail by asking if we wanted to be reminded of what came on this months's special pie.. barbocoa. Which is usually beef, but apparently pork in this place..? I went ahead and tried it, and we did a half and half. She was great about getting out drinks and all the things we needed. The bad? First, they are now charging extra for 3% for an "administrative fee" to "help" keep operations running smoothly. I was really turned off by this grift for more money by passing the buck to the customer in an ugly way. Second, I am not sure how they didnt cut my half of the pizza.. i checked the bottom and the crust to make sure i wasnt just missing it.. but nope, one big half.. crust untouched by cutter. Third... the overall quality was just.. meh. My husbands half was so .. soggy that he had to fold the tip towarsa the crust to have some sort od support... the crust tasted... not anything exceptional.. My personal favorite. Both the steak and cheese and Cuban sandwich. The killer feature is the bread. Clearly warmed in the oven and the delicious bread makes this a mouth watering treat. This one is a dilemma. The service was great, the beer menu as expected was also great. They are also committed to their concept. The craft pizzas are interesting and pretty good, I think the conventional ones almost be better. Four of us went and ate family style. We did the nashville hot, chicken gouda, steak n mushroom and shrimp siracha. Of the four the nashville was probably the best but the pickle kind of dominated the flavor. The streak and gouda pizzas were fine but no real pop. And the siracha shrimp did not pair great with the pineapple. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. The craft pizzas are interesting and worth a try but the traditional offerings are probably better. The pizza crust was good so it leads me to believe the traditional options would be very good. Service is really slow. Would not recommend if you have a large party as we waited almost one hour for our food. Pizza was ok.

I was in town on business and there are so many restaurant options in the area. Having looked at Yelp, this spot jumped out. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted. The beer options are vast and I sampled several before making my selection. I had seen images on Yelp of the pizza I selected and it had a wonderful taste with the balsamic adding to the flavor. Who eats this pizza? After sharing my experience in a couple of local groups on Facebook, it's come to my attention that people tend to like the salads and wings. Unfortunately for me, I had neither. I did the basic cheese pizza, potato skins, and cheesy garlic bread. None of them were very good, the pizza skins being the absolute worst. TJ Chumps has an amazing pizza skin pizza, that puts this to absolute shame. I genuinely didn't even finish one piece. The cheese pizza was just meh. Cheese pizza is my go-to, and I have no desire to ever order this pizza again. As far as the cheesy garlic bread, what is that pizza dipping sauce? Because it's disgusting. Maybe that was my problem with the pizza. Very underwhelmed and disappointed with this overpriced pizza. I would order Pizza Hut a hundred times before going back here again. read more

6 of us had lunch today at P&P. As Dayton pizzas go, this was better than most. And the beer selection was great! We started with garlic bread and pork nachos. The garlic bread was buttery and garlicky. The nachos we very good, very cheesy and nice flavors. We had a 4 different pizzas. My grand-daughter had a pineapple pizza, my grand-son had a cheese pizza, adults had a white pizza with spinach and kalamata olives and a pepperoni, jalapeño, ricotta and Basel pizza. It was all good. Crust was thin and on the large pizzas that resulted in a sogginess in the middle. Jalapeños were very mild. No prices on the menu but they were available using our devices. They use a lot of salt. Service was fast and spot on. I'd recommend this place for pizza. read more

I tried Pies and Pints for my first time yesterday for lunch. What an awesome little spot!! My partner and I sat at the bar and each had a couple brews and shared a large pizza. To begin with the service was fantastic! Our bartender couldn't have been more friendly, helpful and offered samples to try. They have an awesome beer list, including some beer from my home state of Oregon! Next we ordered our pizza. We were gonna order 2 smalls but our friendly bartender let us know that we could just order a large and make it half/half which was amazing! Both couldn't have been better. Half was the Caprese, an Italian classic the other half Chicken Gouda. I absolutely loved our experience here, would totally recommend and we'll definitely be back! read more

My husband and I ate here on a Saturday evening. The wait was going to be about a half hour so we chose to sit at a bar table. There are no prices on the menu. Six of us were seated immediately and were waited on promptly on Sunday afternoon. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich. The "steak" was more like a beef roast in large chunks and was very hard to eat. My daughter has to be gluten-free and there were plenty of choices for her. Service was great. We had a large party of like 16 and they definitely took care of us. We had separate checks which is not a servers friend, but they didn't bat an eye. The Gorgonzola dip was great. The pie is the reason for one less star. It was good. It had a ton of garlic, which I like. Bits of garlic even had a small crunch, which I like. Many won't like the amount of garlic. The other reason was it was slivers of tomatoes and sliver of basil and I think they used shredded cheese. I prefer it more traditional with large chic labor slices of tomatoes, large bits of mozzarella, and large pieces of basil. It was still good but I prefer traditional. Pies and Pies, the Greene, Review of my last two online to go purchases. This review is for the large Margarita pizza. Price $ 26. Two weeks ago, we ordered and picked up the large Margarita pizza. It was superb. One of the best pizzas we have had in years. It also reheated perfectly, with no loss of taste. This past weekend, we ordered it again. Undercooked and swimming in oil. I used a paper towel to sponge off as much oil as I could. When I ordered it, I was told about 20 minutes. I was there in 12 minutes. The pleasant lady checked and it was ready. I said to myself, oh oh, that fast. Is it undercooked? The edge crusts looked perfectly cooked. I got it home and when we started eating it, it was clearly undercooked. If I was at the restaurant, I would have returned it. I was home, it was edible, just not very good. I plan on giving the restaurant another chance. I know they can make a great pizza. They do have consistency problems. We were regulars when they first opened, and after the pizzas became inconsistent, stopped eating there. Just recently returned as a customer, had that great pizza and then back to inconsistency. My wife says she won't eat their pizza anymore. However, their salads are excellent and the next time I order, I'll get the small Margarita and a salad for her. She'll go back to alternating between Marion's and the Cheesecake Factory pizza. Yes the Cheesecake Factory has real pizza ovens. Their loaded pizzas are a great buy. Very consistent. A great takeout item. read more

Pizza is my favorite so I'm always on the lookout for good pizza. I'm not a real fan of chain places but Pies & Pints is an exception. We love our Dayton Pies & Pints. The pies are unique and delicious. They also have a spinach salad that is so refreshing. We always get a salad to share, someone gets their smoked wings, and some version of a half and half specialty pie. The service has always been great. My favorite time to go is in the summer when the huge windows are open in the front. The fresh air and people watching is nice. read more

The food and beer here is very good! I enjoyed the pizza and salad very much. I also tried the white elephant beer which I also enjoyed. It had a very clean and refreshing flavor. I went here with my wife and some of our friends and they all enjoyed it very much as well. The only thing that I think was slightly lacking was the service. The pizza took a little while to come back out and it felt like the waitress never came back for a water refill until towards the end of the meal. But to be fair it was also a pretty busy night and I know she was doing her best. So don't let that discourage you because for beer and pizza this place is great I definitely recommend it and we loved the chicken and Gouda pizza it was sooo good! read more

This another one of those restaurants that was was on my list to visit in Dayton. Just the name speaks to me... pizza and beer. Good selection of beer and thin crust pizzas. On that note, all their pizzas are thin, crispy crust. If you are looking for thick and chewy crust, this probably is not the place for you. Folks here were pretty nice overall, and the service was good. Like many places, menu was linked on the web to a QR code, which was pretty efficient. Makes one wonder how many restaurants will stick with this approach once COVID is sorted. The location was pretty convenient if you were shopping at the Greene already. I wonder though how it would be during non-COVID times. I suspect that we will be back again and be able to update this review at that time. The caveat for almost all of my reviews these days Is that I recognize that our experience during these times of COVID restrictions may not be representative of the experience one might have at other times. read more

I went around 2:45pm for a pick up order for a small pie and a caesar salad because the email showed it would be ready by 2:46. I ordered at 1:57pm. The items didn't come out till 3:10. The young lady at the hostess station was not only seating but cleaning tables and working the bar. She needs a raise as she was engaging and smiling. She had the best attitude. The were 2 other ladies behind the bar from time to time but they didn't seem to be much of a help to her or the other customers. The food was stellar. Sat at the bar this afternoon with my mom. The bartender and other working that was lingering around (slow time) we're both really lively and nice which I appreciated. I got a root beer which was alright, however, she refilled it while I was in the bathroom and then charged me for it. While she was just doing her job, I find it frustrating when something is done without asking that I get charged for later. The pizza was disappointing: literally zero flop, in fact it seemed stale. When I held it up it wouldn't bend at all. This was pretty underwhelming. The flavor wasn't anything special either. Located at the Green, an outdoor shopping complex similar to Legacy Village or Crocker Park, the interior consists of a bar and high table seating. We chose to sit at a table and our server greeted us within minutes. The menu offers a variety of items, from pizza to sandwiches, to a vast assortment of beers, both draft and bottled - hence the name "Pies and Pints!". We elected to share a large pizza with mushrooms, and I must say that it was fantastic! The sauce perfectly balanced the cheese and the crust was perfectly baked - neither overly chewy nor excessively crispy. What really stuck out about the quality of the pie was the simplicity behind the preparation; no brick oven, just a regular pizza conveyer - but little grease and wonderful taste.
