Great neighborhood bar. Friendly bartenders, cheap drinks and Wendy's tacos are great. Served on Wednesdays and ONLY 5 bucks.

Great place for a few late night drinks! Don't come here, because then you'd be taking up more of my space!

I have been here two times in the last week and lemme tell ya.. this is quite the spot. I do suggest making a reservation because everytime I go here it is popping! What a vibey place, the lights aren't too bright, it gives a hip, fun, light energy and is not too pretentious but has INCREDIBLE FOOD AND DRINKS. Right now, one of their specials is whitefish toast.. if you enjoy fish at all, you need this. The fish is light and fresh, they put fresh dill on top and it is placed on top of some toasted sourdough bread perfectly. The fish is flavorful, a lil earthy and I feel as if there are capers or olives in in the fish mixture, whatever it is is fire! The burrata, beets, and citrus is a nice lovely, fresh, light app, the burrata is perfection with the beets and fresh, juicy citrus, drizzled with some oil and random pieces of garlic mixed in, YUM. I suggest ordering bread on the side with this one! The wings here are a staple and always delish. Crispy, hot, and coated perfectly in a light sweet chili sauce.. they hit the spot everytime. The housemade ranch is a perfect dipper. The other day I tried the chorizo and scallops... oh my goodness gracious.. it was a lil spicy and creamy with the bean puree and the scallops were buttery, light and divine! 10 outta 10 would do again. Finally, got the goat cheesecake, gluten free ginger snap crust with poached pears. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I want this now and in every lifetime! The cheesecake was light, yet decadent, deep, creamy with a light, unassuming flavor. The crust was delicious and the poached pears added that perfect fruit component. I got Liam as my server both times, he was helpful, attentive, had good suggestions when asked questions and didn't interrupt at all, amazing! This is the spot for any occasion!

My maple cinnamon sour was delicious and worth the slightly high price. Staff were very helpful about the confusing parking situation in this area too. I was there for the music anyhow. It's a small narrow room, so the acoustics were not great for my rather basic phone to record, but it was fine for my ears. All 4 acts were good, especially FenixDion- this was my first time seeing them as a duo instead of the full band, so it was a bit mellower but still rocked. The $5 cover was definitely a bargain, but I think that deal may have been special because this was also a birthday party. I hope they bring back some eats. I might have considered a 2nd drink if I had some food to soak up the alcohol.

We'll probably go back for another special occasion but it's a bit pricey for more than every once in a while. The entire staff seemed to be in a good mood and the service was all around excellent. Seasonal menu that changes fairly often but the burger sticks around. We got a couple things to split: - Grilled celery root was really good. Perfect texture and lots of flavor while not being "earthy". That cashew miso cauliflower puree is one of the best, smoothest dips I've ever had. - Bread & Beets: Basically a really good beet panzanella. Beets were nicely marinated to get rid of any "dirt" flavor. My wife hates beets and liked this one. I'd probably skip it next time just because there is so much other good stuff. - Karaage: Some of the best karaage I've ever had. Super tender chicken, light breading, and really good glaze. Slaw was really good, too.

We had a wonderful meal here last night. As usual, we enjoyed a warm welcome and excellent service…read more(thanks, Makenna!) with the customary great food. For this meal, we were all especially pleased to see persimmon gracing the menu. This lovely winter fruit added bright color, texture, and flavor to the dishes that it was incorporated into (I highly recommend them). I had it in the second course, a lovely salad that also contained endive, pear, radish, pine nuts and a wonderful layer of creamy taleggio. It was unique and very delicious. For my third course, I ordered the masa dumplings, which I have had before. Spoiler: they were just as good this time. With a pleasing firm but tender texture, these wonderful little dumplings hit just right. The Calabrian chili in the sauce adds a pleasant rosy color and a bit of warmth without being spicy (it's totally safe for your most Minnesotan dining companions). As always, it was beautifully plated. For my next course, I ordered the toasted farro, which is delicious, hearty, and comforting. The chewy grains combine beautifully with the umami from the cheese and porcinis to make a wonderfully substantial flavor and feel. Underneath it all, a bright basil pistou adds a pop of color to remind you that even though it's winter, spring is just around the corner. This is just a perfect dish for a cold, dark winter night. For dessert, I tried something new: the cream cheese tart. I chose wisely: this was a lovely winter dessert that was somewhat reminiscent of cheesecake (but definitely better). It was just the right amount of richness and perfectly balanced by a delicious pear compote and a layer of balsamic vinaigrette. Absolutely perfect. As always, I appreciated the awesome selection of N/A beverages. (The paNOma? Still my favorite!)

It's not a fancy building but that's not a big deal. It feels cozy inside with the wood tables and well maybe not currently cozy with all the Halloween decor. It shows that the staff and owners enjoy and have fun with holiday decor and spirit! We came fairly early on a weekday because I was looking for a breakfast spot. I think we arrived around 9am. There was a decent amount of people already inside enjoying their meals. When you walk in the bar area is towards the right and the restaurant/table seating area is on the left. They had a good selection of options for breakfast. I was happily surprised! Boyfriend chose the Fireside Special. Which he proceeded to arrange into his own little breakfast sandwich creation. I had the Fireside Steak & Eggs. Sirloin was cooked rare and was a decent thick cut. Sunny side up eggs, hash browns and rye toast. I don't usually finish my hash browns but these ones were great! Not overly greasy and perfectly browned. Steak was cooked as ordered, and tasted really good. Eggs were great and so was the rye toast! I finished my entire plate and I don't normally eat much for breakfast. Our server was super nice and knew her regulars and their orders well. It was cute to watch. I would come back again for breakfast! I would also love to come back for lunch and dinner as well. This is a little hidden gem.

When you arrive there Mudd Room is painted on the east side of the building above a small four space parking lot. Fear not; you can park on the west side of the building, also an overflow lot right there as well, a few spaces on the street in the front or across the street from there is designated parking. I entered through the west side of the building that noted Lucky's, fear not, when I entered and told the host I was looking for the Mudd Room she gave me precise directions to get downstairs! Once downstairs I came upon the nice single toilet ladies room. I proceeded in to the bar, asked the blonde bartender where the music would be? She pointed to the stage @ the end of the bar and said it could be loud right by the speaker so she'd recommend sitting a few tables away. She said the parties near the stage were tabbing out if I wanted to sit there? I said I would take a seat @ the end until they were through. Shortly after I sat down the very friendly brunette server brought me a glass of ice water... thanks! She remained attentive all night, filling my water three times. Despite not looking over the menu she was very thoughtful when she popped by just to say it was last call for the kitchen, did I want anything? I meant to get the gals names, I did not, sorry. Music wasn't too loud; the acoustics and lighting were great since the speakeasy is already dimly lit. I don't anticipate this was my last visit; very much looking forward to catching another gig here or meeting friends for drinks! The friendly and attentive service are my number one fast and hard rule for a venue... no matter how good or bad the drinks or food are.... they 90% determine if I will return. These two knocked it out of the park... thank you for such a welcoming and attentive inaugural visit, cheers!
