Ugh! This place has the cute and quaint factor, but as far as food goes? Disgusting! I got a veggie burger vegan style and as stated on the menu, I tried to order soy mayo, but they didn't have it and tried to bring out real mayo. Not the same thing guys. My boyfriend got the chicken nachos and hardly ate half. They looked bad and 'tasted worse' (his words). I'm so disappointed in you Bohemeo's! This has to be a Houston treasure... the owner Lupe and Sid have done an amazing job with this place. They have a very healthy and diverse menu from humus to pizzas to fish tacos... they also recently got a beer license and are working on a liquor license which means you can BYOB but pay for set ups. The staff is awesome, every night is a different theme from Poetry to Movie night and the patio has a gorgeous view of Houston's Skyline. I love Bohemeo's! read more

I really love the indoor and outdoor seating here, and it does seem to be a focus for the local art scene. On more than one occasion I've stopped by only to find out that they had a concert going on, or some kind of art show. They have a decent selection of beer on tap. The only downside to this place is the food. It is more of a bar/coffee shop then it is a restaurant, and the only thing I've eaten here that was worth the money was the tacos. I lost an envelope with what is a HUGE amount of money to me ($1,200.00) when it fell out of my pocket and onto the floor of your restaurant. I left and realized what happened 20 minutes later. I called and asked if anyone had found it or would care to look for it, and within 30 seconds ya'll confirmed that you found it in the trash and would hold it for me! ARE YOU F#CKING KIDDING ME?? I can hardly think of a single person that would find $1,200.00 cash and be honest enough to give it back. I am STILL IN SHOCK!! The young lady who found it....I did not get your name,...I was just too shocked and dumfounded and inspired...but GOD BLESS YOU!!! I pray that you will be rewarded 10-fold for your honesty and your character! You are simply amazing. You saw the tears come to my eyes and roll down my cheeks, you heard my voice break when I tried to tell you thank you and how much it meant to me....TRULY AMAZING. The tiny paltry reward that I gave you is embarrasing to me because of what your honesty truly meant to me. When I can afford to give more, I will ....I would have given you SO MUCH more if I could have, but this money was already spoken for and, in effect, it was not mine to give away. My wife and I were served after the kitchen had closed down because you were gracious enought to put in "one more" order, and before we ate, we said a prayer right there at our table, thanking God for all of our blessings and asking for his continued blessings and protection in some particularly difficult times that we are going through at the moment. The fact that we lost ALL of our money and had it returned to us by this AMAZING young lady and staff, not only speaks to the quality of individuals at this restaurant but that God answers prayers and keeps you safe when you have faith in Him. God has made his test our testimony!!! Two other employees were there when I received my money back and they were equally amazing and stated that "that's just how we are at Bohemeo's." and I have to say, I found this restaurant about a month or two ago and have found this to be the ABSOLUTE COOLEST PLACE IN HOUSTON TX. From the atmosphere of the outside deck and patio, local artists' work on the walls, live music, incredible and original food, free Wi-Fi, great beers and wine, to the unbelievable staff, this place is the coolest establishment that I have found in my over 25 years in this city....and this was my opinion even BEFORE the events that transpired tonight!! Place is really cool looking, came about 3:30pm and the service was very blah, no one really helped at all. Had to ask a customer for information... The Taco was really really good. Which brought my rating up to a 3 from its original 2. I was about to leave but decided to stay bc of the other reviews. I came in today and I had a wonderful time chatting with one of the owners while sipping some of their fresh brews. I was excited to hear they have artists and musicians to add to their cute cafe. The speciality coffee was delicious and the staff were delightful as they took my order. Though this cafe is tucked away, it's worth GPS'ing! I like this place. I've been a number of times for either coffee, drinks, or late night easy dinner. It's not a fancy or super trendy spot, but I don't think it's trying to be. It has its own charm though - a cute cat that always hangs outside on their patio. It's laid back with plenty of outdoor seating. Service is always nice enough. It's the kind of place where you can linger with friends and not feel rushed or that you have to elbow your way up to a bar to get a drink. It's easy - which I find nice! read more

The coffee is really good but because of the service I received I am giving 2 stars. I guess the lady was having a bad day. But I walked into this coffee shop and the barista was arguing with a man over the counter and then when she began taking my order she was really rude to me. And in the midst of taking my order she stormed outside after the person she was arguing with. Which left me standing awkwardly for 10 minutes waiting for someone to finish my order. The line was getting long too. When she finally came back in she was still very rude. Her bra was also completely coming out which made me very uncomfortable. Because the coffee was good I probably will come again and I hope there's better people working so I will have good service. read more

The patio is spacious and has both sunny and shady seating (important in Texas) the prices are insanely reasonable, and the staff are extremely nice. They have cute cats, too. This place got great reviews and looking forward to it. It's a funky little place in a good way, playing good music and laid back atmosphere. But this is where things go down hill a bit. We ordered two sandwiches that took about 30 minutes to make. They got both orders wrong. The cook was nice and gave us the sandwich they messed up on to take home. I had the Italian, it was okay but nothing to get excited about. Their idea of an Italian is different then mine. Would I come back? Yes but not for the food. I went on wednesday where they have beatles open mic night. great performers. The place offers anything between food, coffee, alcohol smoothies, and juices. The wildberry smoothie was great. There was a decent crowd that night. The vibe was good and this is a laid back place. People are open minded and there is free wi-fi. There is a decent sized patio area as well. It smelled AMAZING- whatever they had cooking for lunch today must have been tasty, I wouldn't know cause I had just gone for coffee. I had an americano, and it was so good, probably one of the best I've had in Houston. An americano should be thick, almost like greek coffee- and this one was perfection. This is gem located in the back of a strip mall. It's like a piece of Austin in Houston. It's somewhat small inside, but there's a patio as well. In fact, you can hear live music from the patio if tables are unavailable inside. Wednesday is Beatles Night so they adorn the stage with a Beatles poster and a blanket, while they play silent Beatles footage on a small television set near the ceiling. Anyone can sign-up to play three Beatles songs (or ones from the members' solo years). All types of musical performances are welcome here including: bands, duos, solo acoustic acts, etc. I once saw a beautiful version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with guitar and violin. I haven't been here lately so I can't comment on the food. I had the fish tacos once and they were substandard, but then again I don't come here for the food. When I return, I'll try the food again and hopefully I can write something more positive. I'm still giving this place five stars because of its atmosphere and music. read more

I am a giant fan of shrimp tacos, so Bohemeo's is my destination on Friday night! I have no idea what their secret is, but what I know for sure is that I will be coming there over and over again! The atmosphere is quirky and cute and the owners are to be admired for their efforts to create a gathering spot in the East End. I live right across I-45 from the East End in the 3rd Ward and we have so few places to go that are not crappy fast food joints. This is a place I enjoy going to and ordering my usual, 3 vegan tacos. However, today ( 3/19/18 @ 4:26pm ) as I was on the phone placing my usual order, the girl who was taking order was abrupt and said we don't have vegan tacos and was rushing my order. I let her know I have ordered vegan tacos in the past. She said she did not have that order and hung up on me. I called again and she answered, saying, "Bohemeo's", I told her I was still trying to place vegan tacos as an order and basically it's the veggie tacos, but they don't add feta nor the baja sauce. I asked her if she was new ( to let her know how they've accommodated ) however she did not answer and deliberately insisted that she had no vegan tacos. I told her I was still trying to place vegan tacos a.k.a the veggie tacos, just that they don't add feta nor the baja sauce. She then took my order and hung up. I called again because I wanted to know what time to pick them up and the total, she answered and I said, "Can I speak to your manager?" The girl who answered and has been answering is the same girl, because it's the same voice, said," Ma'am, are you really going to talk to my manager because of the tacos?" Then hung up on me. I called again several times, to speak to a manager and cancel my order. I have NEVER had a bad experience like this. Every staff I have dealt with has always been friendly. I honestly like the food and enjoy the atmosphere at Bohemeos, however, today's experience was absolutely unpleasant. The girl who took my order/gave me poor service should be talked to on how to handle customer service and her job. It's also not etiquette to answer the phone with a blender in full blast.
