Great place to meet my husband for lunch on a work day. It's near downtown and not very busy. I love the fresh ingredients available on the dishes. If you are a vegetarian this is your place! However, you can add meat to everything. We were given samples of beers on tap and chose a pumpkin beer. The outdoor seating available is great. The people here are so nice and just fun to talk to and be around. The coffee and drinks here are good, not top notch, but good enough for me to keep coming back. They always rotate good craft beers on tap and have a wide variety in bottles. The food is good for a simple lunch, it's not their centerpiece, though. Fish tacos were surprisingly good (eaten at one of the cute little mosaic tile tables). Sodas were too expensive, though ($1.50 for a 12 ounce can? "Gentrification" was the excuse given for the high price). Would have liked to hang around to get some work done, but the couch seat cushions looked uncomfortable and were covered in what looked like dog hair. I just had lunch with my husband at this place. We went because of the Yelp reviews and the review in the Houston Press. I would have to say I agree with Ryan. Our food was subpar. We ordered chips and salsa and fish and shrimp tacos. Someone should have warned us that we would be eating Pace Picante Salsa. I actually saw the nice lady open the container. At least they're up front about it. The tortillas for the tacos appeared to have been microwaved and the cream sauce was bland. All I tasted was red cabbage and tortillas. My shrimp and fish were not seasoned at all and I didn't have any cilantro and limes. Perhaps this is authentic Baja tacos but I'll stick with Berryhill's for now. So disappointing! This is the type of place you really, really want to like because the folks are nice but deep down you know you're never going back. read more

Food is so amazing, all having a home cooked feel, great beer selection both craft and domestic... clean and positive environment to study or hangout out and have a good time. Best patio in Houston hands down. Been coming here everyday for maybe a year now. All of the staff is great. A wonderful neighborhood gem. I went here for a Barrio Dogs fundraiser. Their sandwiches and pizzas are just the rights size with great ingredients. The coffee is equal to, and in some instances, other coffee shops in the city. I appreciate how Bohemeo's supports local charities and causes.
