The shop's owner greeted me; she was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the items in the store. She gave me a tour of her store and answered all my questions. There was such a unique and wide variety of items to choose from, such as clothing, furniture, toys, shoes, and even a large selection of artwork from local artists. There is something there for all ages. The prices were very affordable, too. Honestly, I could have spent hours checking out all the items they had for sale. We first tried all the stores on Main Street, including medusa, old mans trash, and retro vegas, but we couldn't see anything we like. Finally we turned into Josette's store, and immediately we were greeted by her. We found a loveseat that we both love, but it happened to be not for sale, since it was her own piece displayed in front of the jewelry and accessories for customers to sit when they check out the jewelry. However, since Josette can tell that we really liked it, she finally told us we could have it for $100! While she made the offer to us, she kept the apologetic tone emphasizing that since she wasn't planning on selling it, the seat was not cleaned and might need some extra maintenance. Of course we didn't mind and were really grateful that we got the one-of-a-kind chair that we can put in our family room! Her store is well organized, unlike some of the antique stores that just look like shit piling on the ground or random things everywhere, everything in her store was priced very reasonable and marked clearly. She also has one of the most beautiful handwriting I've ever seen! From our conversation with her, we found out that she was very familiar with antique, can easily point out the style and year for specific pieces of furniture, and she picks quality stuff for her store. The Barter Beer and Antique Mall is so unique that it is unlike any other business out there. It's…read moremostly an Antique and Art kind of place but they give you a free beer if you spend $20. and they also offer PUNK ROCK BINGO a couple times a month. They also sell beer, wine, popcorn, and charcuterie. The people there were friendly and helpful. It's pretty big and is two buildings with a patio between them. Also parking is easy and free here so that is a treat. We walked around and there is so much stuff your head can pop! It's not like any other place and is certainly Worth a Try!
