Here is the raw chicken they served us.

Today my mom and I went to Bojangles on staples mill road. We have been going here for a while now. Today we went through the drive thru and ordered 2 of the 2 piece chicken tender supreme MEALS with mashed potatoes and gravy and Dr. Pepper to drink. First of all, they charged 30 cents extra for our Dr. Peppers (we order the meal, why was there a 30 cent charge for the drink, and no we did not ask for a large drink simply what comes with the meal.) Second, we got our meals and there was no straws, spoons, or napkins in our bag. I asked the lady nicely if we could have 2 spoons and straws. She looked at me like I had two heads. How do expect us to eat our mashed potatoes, with our hands? Also, the mashed potatoes were COLD. They weren't even the slightest bit of warm. Third, while we were eating our food, my mom saw that her chicken was RAW. Absolutely disgusting. And lastly, their sodas in general never taste good. They are consistently watered down. I am very disappointed. We did go back through the drive thru and showed them the chicken and asked for a refund. They did give us a refund. Absolutely no excuse for serving your customers RAW meat.

Vday biscuit with two piece snack chicken (dark meat)

I've been here before and I didn't really like it. But I had to give this place another chance since it had been a very long time. I came here for just a smaller snack and I ended up getting the two piece snack. I have to admit that that was pretty a good portion for myself for lunch. I really enjoyed the biscuit and it was shaped in a heart for the month of February. The chicken ended coming out crispy and not soggy. It was flavorable and pretty good. I didn't like how much fat there was on the chicken thighs though. So I have to say that it's an A'okay for me. I can see myself coming here at least once more before the year end of those snack friend chicken cravings!

I had the braised beef short ribs, which were melt-in-your -mouth. Paired with garlic mashed potatoes, roasted root veg, and some of the best collard greens I've ever had. He had the fried chicken with hot honey, garlic mashed potatoes, and more collard greens. That fried chicken was so crispy and delicious. Had the peach cobbler bread pudding for dessert, and it was an EXPERIENCE. The only thing that would have made the meal better was some of the slab bacon, but we'll know to come for breakfast or lunch for that next time!

Upon entering, the hostess greeted us and, at our request, seated us outside because it was a beautiful day. The restaurant venue and ambiance were modern and well kept. The bathroom was clean and nice. The outside seating area was also fairly clean with comfortable seating. Our server (neither my partner nor I caught her name as she said it: she had beautiful braids with blonde streaks woven in) started on the right foot, took our orders promptly, and brought out our waters. I ordered the Smothered Pork Chop, and my partner chose the Fried Chicken, subbed pimento mac and cheese for the collard greens (who can blame her?). The food did not come out promptly. My best guess is that our server was seated with a large table and prioritized a better tip over the two top (us) outside. Eventually, the food came out (~25 minutes, so not terrible), but for the number of patrons in the restaurant, it was too long. My partner's mashed potatoes were cold, but she said the fried chicken and mac and cheese were fantastic. The potatoes tasted delicious, but they were simply not warm. My pork chop was very thick, like a filet, which is okay, but it wasn't what I expected. I prefer a thin pork chop, so that it cooks all the way through (more solid, not soft). It was passable. The beans and rice (Hoppin' John) were also not what I was expecting; I was thinking more New Orleans-style, but they were bland, like cream of mushroom soup on unseasoned beans and rice. We ordered the banana pudding for dessert. We ended up waiting for that for ~20 minutes as well, a half-pint glass of banana pudding with underripe bananas mixed in. Note to the chef: heat ripens bananas, so you could toss a few in a skillet with a little oil in a pinch (egg yolks also work). We waited for another 10 minutes, and I finally went inside and asked the hostess for the check. I realize it is difficult to serve, but you must also consider asking your colleagues for help if you have too much going on. All in all, the food was satisfactory, but the service was lacking. We ended up waiting an hour longer than we should have had to. I semi-recommend Farm and Oak, but look to be seated with the better server, John. He and the hostess saved our experience.

The bartender Luke was on his game and got me water and coffee quickly there after. The place was busy but everything seemed to work like a well oiled machine. The house coffee is solid and they did have a cold coffee option. The spicy bloody mary with the bacon was one of my favorites - definitely a more homemade vibe which was what I prefer. I also got their current jello shot (lemon and lavender) which was refreshing and big for $3. The menu had a bunch of items that caught my eye - breakfast burrito, pancake stacks, eggs benedict, etc. I went with the breakfast burrito with a side of sweet potato has. The burrito was great - filling but not super large, though I would have loved a tiny bit more jalapenos personally. Even without a meat, it was tasty and well balanced, especially with the side sriracha sour cream. I definitely need to come back to try the chicken salad or grilled cheese or some pancakes because everything looked fantastic. Service was quick, food was great, prices were solid. They have outdoor seating, bar seating, and friendly folks working. I'll definitely be back.

The bread was soft and good tasting, now the Star (Tuna Salad) was very BLAND. It was an excellent brand or even fresh, but flavor was missing. My taste buds were disappointed. I added salt and pepper that helped some. The box was so cute. Included with the tuna salad sandwich, was a bag of chips, wrapped dill pickle slice , that was crunchy and good and OMG a delicious chocolate chip cookie. It was not good. The salad came in a large clamshell container, but only half of it was salad; the other half was a dressing container and some extras like bread, butter, a peppermint patty, and some sort of weird sweet spread. It also came with a cookie. I got a salad because I wanted something healthy, but this didn't fit the bill. I wanted it to have more greens, but it was mostly toppings, especially chicken, such that the salad was out of balance. I liked the crunchy tortilla strips. I skipped the dressing; it was a huge portion and would have completely overwhelmed the salad. I tasted a bit of it and I'm glad I skipped it -- gross. I don't know what the deal was with the sides. The bread was two basic slices of white bread; unappealing, I skipped it. I have no idea what the sweet spread was for. The peppermint patty was a peppermint patty, idk what it was doing there. The cookie looked pretty good; I thought it was chocolate chip. But, it turned out to be some sort of apple spice chocolate chip which is a terrible combination I've never seen before. I would not get this again.
