We were so excited when we moved to the area and 1 good reason is being close enough to Bojangles! I have made my husband obsessed with Bojangles and it has become his favorite place. He feels their quality has been the same and consistent, where I feel like the quality has gone downhill. We moved to Ocala last year and have been to this location several times. The first time we visited, there were not any issues, besides waiting forever for our food. The wait for the food is usually bad, even though every time we have visited this location, it was not busy. We usually order breakfast sandwiches so maybe that is why. I usually get the sausage and cheese on a biscuit. It used to be my favorite but the past couple of times, it was very dry and less flavorful. I also order the Cajun chicken on a biscuit and that was very dry/old chicken. The Bo rounds are absolutely amazing!!! That is still a favorite but they also discontinued the Bo Sauce, which went amazingly well with the Bo rounds. Ever since my last visit, when I found out about no more sauce, I have not visited since. I might join my husband if he wants Bojangles but I would much rather indulge in another restaurant in the area. read more

Finally came back after the reopening for the first time. No bone-in chicken, got a side of coleslaw, the little 3 inch dish wasn't half full for 3 bucks. Same with the sauces. Understaffed which reflects the restaurants conditions, surprisingly as new as the area and the building itself this Bojangles should look brand new. The doors, the handles, bathroom, glass, should not look 20 years old. That is the building! The floor, counters, drink machines are filthy can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Placed an order before I really looked around but standing there for 20 minutes waiting fast food gave me the opportunity to absorb the poorly managed restaurant. Bojangles should come in and demand the restaurant to be up to standards. On a good note we didn't get sick. My biscuit was undercooked, it was wet and gooey on the inside. I was so excited to come her again, but to my surprise!! This was the nastiest most filthiest restaurant I have seen in a long time. The entire restaurant was so dirty from the floors, to the walls,chairs,doors, drink station trash area! No one bothers to clean this place ever!! Bojangles is like a Cajun fast food place. The chicken has such a delicious balance of quality taste and not too much heat. I would have given them 5 stars but the service was a bit slow. They were very polite they had enough people, they were just a bit unorganized. The restaurant was very clean, the music wasn't so loud we were shouting to be heard, it was pleasant. The TV's were on but not put where they were distracting. There were, 7 of us so it was a very nice family visit. The biscuits are always delicious along with the slightly spicy chicken. However, the dirty rice, not pictured is so very great and delicious. The desert biscuits have, a great balance of salty, sweet taste. So overall a solid 4.5 star visit. read more

We do not have a Bojangles in Tampa, so it is usually a treat when I pass through Ocala on the way back to Land O Lakes and I can pick up chicken. The last two times I stopped at this specific location, they forgot my biscuits. I have now trained myself to check the family order to make sure that they put the biscuits in the box. Today, however, was the last straw. My wife was coming back from Gainesville and stopped and got our normal family meal. She drove an hour and a half back to our house and opened up the box only to find out that they shorted us two biscuits (you're supposed to get six) And gave us chicken tenders instead of fried chicken. Unfortunately, we cannot backtrack an hour and a half to this location to make the order right so we called them. They said there was nothing that they could do because we had left, they were unwilling or unable to give us a refund over the phone because they said that they needed my wife's debit card in person. So we are going to dispute this with our bank and just have the charge completely reversed. Further, I want you to take a look at what they're calling "chicken tenders." They look like glorified french fries. I know that bite inflation is hurting us all, but they are charging premium prices for this stuff. This is not a "tender" by any definition. This location is run by imbeciles. It is run by people who are inbred and have no concept of how to put chicken in a box. These are the people who are saying they deserve $15 an hour and they cannot count to six. Zero star! While traveling we came in 10 minutes before it was suppose to close. They wanted to close early so they just told us they were "out of all food" . They didn't even apologize. They didn't lock the door and no signs saying they are "out of food". Didn't even give us a chance to say anything . I was so excited and that ruined me wanting to ever return to any location. I'm guessing it was the location I got my food from because I saw them bring out fresh fries and they were cold by the time I got home, and I live 10 mins away. The Bo chicken sandwich tasted a little fishy for my tastebuds but was a solid 5 out of a 10, think they could've done better. It was mostly dry! Well it was our first time eating here and it didn't go very well, there was a guy behind the counter that acted like he did want to be here. Had never eaten at a Bojangles until this past Thanksgiving Day, when all of the McDonalds in Chattanooga were closed! The only place open was Bojangles, so we stopped in for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was. Stopped in for breakfast the next several days. Upon returning home we found the only Bojangles around was the one on SR 200. Stopped by for breakfast today, and it was AWFUL! First, went through he drive through and ordered: 2 bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits, 2 Borounds, 1 soft drink. We were charged for, but shorted 1 of the Borounds, which was tragic, as they were the only things edible!How do you screw up such as simple order? But WAIT, its WORSE! The bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits were inedible. The biscuits were hard, tasted of way too much baking powder, and broke apart into little bits as you tried to eat. The bacon was half cooked and raw, and very greasy. As I tried to eat this abomination, the biscuit broke into a million pieces, and the grease from the half cooked bacon ran down my wrist. We have gone to Bojangles for many years. We went on a Thursday at 4:15 and it was the worst experience. There was no one inside eating and one car pulled up while we were in the drive-thru so they were NOT busy. We ordered the 20 piece meal for $62.00. We waited for 30 minutes in the line (no one else in line) and finally a girl came to the window to take our money and said they were waiting on biscuits. Fifteen minutes later our food is finally ready and I asked if the chicken and hot items were kept hot while we waited on the biscuits which took 45 minutes. She said, of course. Well, we started eating French Fries on the short ride home and they were cold and hard. It was the leftover dregs from the fry bin, they were terrible. The chicken was barely warm and hard. The breast pieces were huge but after you pulled off the large rib area and all the chunks of breading, they were tiny breasts and were smaller than the thighs. All of the chicken pieces were loaded with the greasy flakey coating and super small chicken pieces. The macaroni and cheese was mush because it also was the leftover mess in the pan. The tea has been watered down so much that it wasn't good at all. Someone needs to start managing this place because obviously the current manager has no idea what they are doing. read more

Husband and I were in Ocala and so excited because that's the furthest south for any Bojangles restaurants in Florida. This location appears to be in a growing area. Let's hope by the time more people move in, this Bojangles can get the workers trained on speed and quality of food served. Like I said, we were really excited because we like Bojangles, but this one needs some help big time. The drivethru is the only thing open and that was fine with us as we needed to get back on the road. When we got in line, there was a car ordering that had been there for several minutes. We saw it as we attempted to maneuver the parking lot to get into the line. We thought maybe it was their first time at the place and they didn't know what they wanted. That may have been the case but then when it was our turn, the girl taking our order wasn't too sharp. After repeating the order twice, we moved onto the pickup window. We had to wait again behind the only other car in line. Maybe they ordered a ton of food but whatever the reason, we waited and waited. Finally it was our time and we got our food pretty quick, which was a shock. We pulled into a space to eat. Immediately Upon opening my box, of what I had hoped was deliciousness, was just ok. The chicken wasn't hot AT ALL, the mashed potatoes were hotter. Any other Bojangles we've been to, the chicken is almost scolding hot. It wasn't a baaad meal but it wasn't even top 10. We have been to Bojangles several times in the past 2 years and the quality was fine. Yesterday we ordered the family 8 piece meal from the drive up to take home for dinner. It took less than 10 minutes to get home and we directly took the meal out of the box and upon eating found the chicken basically extremely dry like it had been under a heat lamp and it was just not worth eating. 33 dollars for chicken that tasted old and dry just isn't right. Today is Mother's Day and my son wanted to take me someplace nice We are from NC and Bojangles is a family favorite so we hit this store on SR 200 in Ocala. The young man at the cash register, Axel, was polite and professional. Jeremiah, front line lead was also hard at work with a smile on his face. The store was clean and pleasant, everything was wiped down and stocked at the drink station and condiment bar. The dining room was pretty empty. We heard a commotion in the kitchen area and it appeared that the manager was complaining to the staff in a derogatory manner. As a former Bojangles University trainer, I thought this manager's position has gone to her head. Axel and Jeremiah brought the food to our table and apologized for the manager. I assured them that they were doing a great job and that all managers aren't effective at managing, and that I would leave this review. I went to Bojangles at SW 200 College Road, Ocala, FL, I ordered 3 legs and 2 sides of coleslaw. I was very specific when I placed the order, no thighs, just 3 legs. I got 1 leg and 2 thighs. I went back to the drive-in window and explained to the lady that the order was wrong. It looks like this lady is either a new employee or does not know what she is doing. She gave the box back to me and said she could not accept the return, to which I said "you just need it to put in the trash, do not give it to me because that was not what I ordered". She came back with the three legs in a box with no receipt attached to the box, no bun, no napkins, and no utensils. When I asked where was the bun and utensils she answered that she could not give them to me again because they were included in the previous box that I returned. Can you believe she gave me that answer? The customer service skills of this lady are none. Cannot include her name because she kept the receipt where the name was. The problem with this location is that it has a big employee turnover and they show no desire to work at all. Either the order is wrong, their attitude is completely negative, and their customer service skills are non-existent. The box that was given to me looked like the food was served for a dog. We waited and I finally had to ask "hello?" several times before we received a response. The drive-through attendant, despite having no line in front of or behind me, acted as though I were interrupting his day by daring to order. He was lazy and rude and I did not feel confident we would get what we ordered or that the food would be of an edible quality based on my interactions with this employee. I had yet to have Bojangles but I was severely disappointed. We stopped on our way out of Ocala, getting ready to head home and it was on the right side on our way to 75. The staff was not knowledgeable at all when I asked questions. The sandwich I ended up ordering, I was told it was not spicy and much to my surprise it was just that. They were out of ice so our drinks were like warm and when I went back to tell them my sandwich was in fact spicy they told me there's no not spicy version. I asked them if there was any non spicy sandwich I could replace it with and they told me no. The tea tasted spoiled, like it had been sitting for too long. No refunds on my meal either. My husband ended up eating both our meals, we should've just stopped at Culver's right next door but I wanted to try something new.
