I happen to visit their booth at the Jax Arts District Farmers Market in Riverside on Wednesdays and the woman working it is very knowledgeable about the farm and agriculture. The actual farmer wasn't present, but I believe she said that he has been working his farm for over a decade. That's pretty impressive and very progressive especially for the Jacksonville area seeing that I grew up south of Gainesville where most of the bigger farms are located. The prices are so reasonable for the quality and varieties offered here. Just check out their in-season produce and flowers so you'll know what I mean. I took photos. :)

However, the really big draw for me and most customers I think is the selection of fruit, vegetables, and especially exotic cuts of meat. If there are parts of various livestock you seek and can't normally get at Publix, you'll quite likely find them here. And the produce is fresh and second-to-none. As to people's reviews on Google reviews saying the store is dirty, smelly, and nasty--well, it's a bit run-down but safe. I came here with a friend who is Chamorro and thus very familiar with Asian grocers--he lived in the Philippines, as well. He's just like "yeah, this is the real deal, you can tell, this is where you come to buy liver and leave with fruit that you don't even know what it is". I think he's summed up the experience pretty fairly there.

I've started cooking more of my culture's cuisine so it's nice to have more options in the Jax area. I love that they offer a food court right inside and every month they host an Asian Night Market outside in their parking lot. A few things they could improve on; offering a wider selection of their fresh/live seafood such as wild caught fish and shrimp. And lastly, the meat section could look fresher (not old dingy meat.)
