They advertise Express service but Every time one shows up it's a 3 hr wait. So the mgr said call ahead. So today I called ahead and they were free. So I drive there. I get there in 15 min and there is now a 1.5-2 hr wait , I told them I was told to call ahead and he said "well we can't hold a spot" so why did you have me call ahead? Brought my jeep for oil change and tire rotation as part of jeep wave program. Took 2 hours to complete work. I wasn't sure but I suspected they didn't rotate the tires. The next time I brought the car in I numbered the tires. After the oil change and tire rotation I checked the tires and only two had changed position. I informed the manager. He called the technician into the office and he admitted that he had only moved two tires. They corrected the issue. The manager apologized and said they would give me a free oil change next time I came in. Next time I brought it in they had a record of the previous service, but no record of the screw up or a free oil change. I will never go back there again. Slow, poor service. Service manager a condesending moron, I showed up at 830 in the morning. I had made an appointment. They brought the car into their inspection bay, I explained that I had lock nuts on my wheels. He said they didn't have a "universal" socket to remove them. I said I was told that they do by the person who answered the phone. I explained that was the first thing I told them, He said he made the appointment so that wasn't true, I corrected him and said I was transferred to him, thinking he should have known that. He then that they would have to chisel them off, I responded by saying I did not want that done. One of the mechanics came out and explained "he'd try". I thought that should have been the initial task. They moved my car out into one of the bays and a very competent maechanic carefully removed them. I then went back in and I had to give the SM an update. I asked how long would it take and he responed we should we done by 1PM. I asked why so long? He said I made a "drop off" appointment. At that point I was tired of his attitude and lack of any sign of courtesy. I said that was the stupidest thing I ever heard of. I was not told that when I called. I said I would just leave and I did. Went elsewhere and had my car's tires replaced, balanced and aligned in 2 hours and they had 2 people there. read more

I bought my 2016 Renegade here and use their service department now for oil changes, etc. There's. I appointment needed for oil changes and they open at 7:30 am weekdays - I like that! I'm usually in and out in 30 minutes or less. They have a small, but comfortable waiting area with TV, newspapers and free coffee. Usually a quick stop and comfortable. On this visit I need a tire patched as I picked up a screw somewhere so I'm here longer. It took them some convincing there was something in the tire as they couldn't find it right away - but eventually did. Their pre-pay oil change bundle seems a fair deal. read more

Purchased a new Ram 3500 from Bolles back in 2017. My experience with their service department (in both Stafford and Ellington locations) has been terrible. One one occasion, they determined there was an oil leak and would require 3 days to fix. I set up an appointment, a week later they called to cancel it because their diesel technician would be out on the first of the required 3 days. We setup another appointment for the following Monday. I called on Wednesday for status on the repair only to learn they did not start. No apologies, just an arrogant "we'll get back to you". I will not buy another vehicle for my business from Bolles nor consider their service department. I now drive to Willimantic to Capital Dodge. read more

Factory ordered a Wrangler from this dealership and strictly serviced my vehicle here after purchase. First problem was when they installed my soft top the first week of owning my brand new vehicle they forgot to cap the rear windshield wiper fluid and my entire trunk flooded with wiper fluid causing damage. Furthermore, I had my rear brakes replaced as recommended by the service department and had my right rear caliper FALL OFF while driving on the highway. Service department forgot to tighten the bolts. This has been such a headache. I've had used cars that are 10 years old that have less problems than my BRAND new factory ordered wrangler that only THIS dealership has ever touched. My experiences at Bolles continues to get worse and worse. I leased a car there in November 2020 and the whole Sales process was a bit of a mess. Today I went in to get my first oil change (complementary) and tire rotation. As soon as I left the lot and got onto the highway, my car was shaking and making awful noises!!! Luckily, I safely made it home (driving extremely low and very nervous). I called the dealer and they sent someone out and ALL MY BOLTS WERE LOOSE ON MY WHEELS!!!!!! EXTREMELY dangerous and disappointing that I cant even trust them for a simple oil change. I will never be going back and I do NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

I called Bolles Service Department to schedule an appointment for a 2018 Jeep Wrangler still under the manufacturer warranty. I explained the problem to the service receptionist and asked whether it was covered under the warranty. The Bolles rep said they won't do any warranty work if the car was not purchased from them. Really? What if a customer moves across the country and unable to bring the car to the dealer he purchased from. This is a ridiculous policy and undermines Chrysler claims that their warranties are honored and work can be performed at any Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler dealership. read more

A few weeks ago I made an appointment for my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee (13,800 miles) at Bolles Motors in Ellington, I noticed a light on my dashboard and when I researched it online, I learned it was for a collision sensor in the front grill. I also asked them to balance my tires because I was experiencing a vibration when driving on the highway. I dropped it off yesterday, 7/29/2021 at 7:45 am and left with a loaner vehicle. They called me shortly before noon and said they suspect there was a front impact to the bumper that cause the sensor to go bad and mentioned it was also missing its faceplate; both would not be covered on the factory warranty. Cost to repair would be $350+ so I told them not to do the repairs. It was getting late in the day so I called them to get the status on the rear end vibration. They told me balancing the tires would not fix the vibration problem and told me I needed to replace the tire. Since my tires were newer with only 13K on them I refused to purchase a tire. I was charged for the balancing (even though it was not done) and also the Loaner car (which they told me was a curtesy vehicle). I spoke to the service guy who suggested I take it to the Dealership I bought it from and mentioned that since I didn't buy the car from Bolles there was nothing they could do. I ask to speak to the manager and he gave me the same speech. When picking my car back up, I asked the service guy to show me the damage and he showed me a couple of scratches on the grill and the missing faceplate. I asked which sensor was broken and he told me the sensor was not broken and that it just needs faceplate and to be recalibrated. Why a different response from earlier when he told me the sensor had to be replaced? Now its 2hrs of calibration and he also told me I now need 2 new tires instead of one that was stated earlier. I'm frustrated at the whole process and don't feel I shouldn't have to pay for anything. The problems were misdiagnosed and your service tech did not clearly convey what the problems were. read more

Some time ago, before I had a Yelp account, I brought my Challenger into Bolles for an oil change. After dropping it off and heading out with family, I got a call not long after from my cousin who also lived in the area. He asked why I was doing burnouts in the Big Y lot down the street from the dealer (It's also on West Road if you'd like to verify my story). Turns out that, if they did do my oil change (I was never sure if they did to be honest), they decided the best way to return it to me was to light the tires up first. Since they put almost seven miles on the car from when I dropped it off to when I could get down there to get it, I can only imagine what other nearby areas they hit during their little joyride. When I questioned the odometer discrepancy, I was called, in different terms, a liar and told that a test drive afterwards was "routine." That's a lie: There was no reason for my car to be on the road after an oil change. None. I hadn't reported any oddities before it was serviced that would require travel time in it. Also, to be perfectly clear: My Challenger was very easy to spot. It was a bright white "392" model with dual blue stripes and plaques inside to note it's rare model run. I don't bring that up to brag about the vehicle itself; I only wanted to make sure that anyone reading this understands that it would have been very hard for my cousin to mistake my car for any other Challenger when he saw it being beat on by this dealer's employees. Never go to this dealer. Regardless of what you drive, the service people will beat on it and then call you a liar for providing proof of such a thing. Give a better dealership your time and cash. Great Place with Great Staff - if you want an honest place to buy a car this is it! I went with my daughter to look at a used Wrangler and we met bob the salesman - he was very informative, helpful and did not pressure her in any ways to have her make a decision, unlike another jeep dealer in the area. they helped her get it registered out of state and even met her at the Rhode Island DMV. When all is said & done and she is happy with the purchase she gets a check for $88.00 as they were not sure of the RI DMV charges. I wouldn't buy here either. Trying to low ball on a trade in vehicle 2016 with 4,500 miles for a 2017 with close to 30,000 miles and the best they can do is 6,000 dollar difference. I tell them another dealers higher offer on my vehicle and their professional reply is to go buy from them ....Its all about how much they can make off of you cause they think your stupid and dont do your home work before you buy. If you want to have the best car buying experience, I would recommend coming to Bolles. It's almost unheard of that you go to a dealership on a Saturday afternoon and leave same day with your perfect car, however Bolles made that happen for me. I stumbled upon the Jeep I was looking for online at Bolles. I ended up speaking with Zach over the phone on Thursday, set up an appointment with him for that Saturday, drove from Boston, and left their lot same day with my new Jeep! I came in with where I needed to be money wise and they made it happen! The process was enjoyable, staff were friendly and treated you like family. I didn't think car buying could be so enjoyable. Zach was such a pleasure to work with! It truly felt like he was there to help me and not just sell me. Brian and Ken were also great! They explained things in detail and assured us we were getting the best prices. First time coming here, I called over the phone saying I need breaks and rotors done and was informed it was going to be about $400, so I made the appointment. I get here and an hour after my arrival they told me 1. To test drive it is $25. 2. The front breaks and rotors came out to $605 and the rear over $500, a total over $1,000! 3. Not what I was told and on top of that being here longer than supposed to. When I asked why it was so much more than I was quoted the clerk told me average cost is $300-$500 but front is always more than rear. The staff is friendly, but you are going to get ripped off. Highly recommended not coming here and go elsewhere. read more

This is a review as to the towing service that Bolle's offers. They are a AAA towing service in the Ellington. AAA verified that they dispatched them and their arrival would be in 45 minutes. The driver never showed up, and never contacted AAA. However, at his estimated arrival time of 3:03 he sent to AAA that he had arrived. I called AAA and told them that he never arrived, and they could not get ahold of him. I will never support Bolle's in any way after this experience. I will not stand for an organization that lies and leaves people stranded on the side of the road. If you cannot handle the calls AAA sends to you, let a more competent company handle them. read more

I had these guys show up to drag me out of the woods after my truck slid off a friends driveway (ice) When I called it in, I specified I'd need to be winched out. First guy shows up with a flatbed. There is no way that truck will be of any use. He tells me that this won't be covered by AAA. I need my truck, so cash it it. He tells me it'll be 97$ an hour to be winched out. He then calls his boss to come. I wait an additional 40 minutes. His boss shows up with a truck set up with a winch. 20 minutes later I am out, minus the window they broke.... And charged 200$ for the 20 minutes of work. Apparently, not only did I have to pay the first guy for showing up with the wrong truck, I had to pay the other guy a full hour as well. When I ask about this, I am then told I should be happy they are cutting me a break, as they normally charge from when they get the call. (So, if it had taken him 4 hours to get there, I'd have paid 800$!) He then hands me a receipt, and tells me to send it to AAA, and they will reimburse me!? So either they cover it, or they don't. I was totally over charged time wise, and then denied the use of my AAA. This place in my opinion is a scam, taking advantage of people. I'd give them zero stars if I could, Avoid these guys for towing. read more

We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and the heater core went on it. We got it repaired at Bolles, where we purchased it. Then it failed a year later. Again, we got it serviced a free of charge. It kept failing, and they kept fixing it free of charge. They were good until the 5th time in a row came around. They gave us a "free courtesy car" and we used it. They told us its all on the house. When we went to return it, the owner has the audacity to tell us he will charge us $10 per gallon of used gas, blatantly not caring about the fact that they couldn't get it right for the first five times, and the amount of time we had to take off work to drive there and get it fixed. Too bad, the sales team is amazing, but the owner really failed on business practice. read more

Bolles does not stand behind their work and don not give a $#!% about you as a customer ! -I Brought my 98 dodge 1500 in to bolles for service it was running poorly and was going through oil. they advised me that I had a intake leek that pulled oil from the engine up into the intake and that oil was fouling my plugs , causing the poor performance and oil usage. bolles assured me that "for 1000 or so" the intake repair would solve the issues and have me going down the road no problem. so after the repair I pick up the truck and have to bring it right back because 1- it was still running just as bad 2- my temp gage no longer worked 3- my beltz squeal and squeak as they never had. so they say they will look at it and I have a bad tension pulley and belt so I say fine replace that as well after you get it to run right -I need the truck. I go to pick up the truck and they tell me it running as good as they can get it and the mechanic noticed my A/C does not work. the truck seems to run a bit better (sill not good) but when I open my hood to check the A/C charge I see the A/C plug is not plugged together so I plug it in and my A/C work great like always but when I get in to drive with the A/C on now the vents go to defrost then to dash vents and back as I go on and off the gas. After a week I get this alarm come on I never heard before i look down and i have no oil pressure i pull over and check the oil its low a quart "again..not fixed" but still in safe, when i start the truck oil pressure is back. this continues randomly .Finally it gos down to 0 again and will only keep pressure for a mile or 2 after every time you turn the engine off. they tell me now the oil use was from a bad cylinder . so i want them to make it right on the bad useless repair and basically i am told im out of luck . Recap- Spend over 1300 (1)after bolles service truck never made to run properly (2)after bolles service oil still used up at same rate (3)after bolles service temp gage now not working (4) after bolles service A/C vents go up and down with gas pedal use (5)after bolles service oil pressure drops to 0 until you stop and restart truck and keep pressure for a mile or 2 (6)after bolles service still have squeaks and chirps from belts i never had(7) after bolles service told they will not stand behind their work(8)after bolles service out of a vehicle i can drive. i contacted Dodge about this "Qualified Dodge service center " they told me to work it out with the dealer...apparently they care about their name and customer's as much as bolles does ...Zero read more

This dealership is NOT recommended at all! I was going to lease a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I came in on a Saturday to pick out the car and came back to sign paperwork on a Monday. When I arrived, I was told the car I was leasing and liked was now sold! The salesman told me he went ahead without my consent and found another Jeep at another dealer. He kept saying it was "the same car" without me even looking at it! I told him I did not want another car from another dealer lot as my last Jeep had been declared a "lemon" He did not care at all!!! He became arrogant about my concerns. I told him he at least owed me a phone call to tell me the car I wanted was sold instead of having me drive 35 extra miles to tell me this. I then told him to simply reduce the down payment on another car or discount another jeep on their lot or the deal was off. He declined. The salesman Barry was extremely unprofessional about the whole matter and he told me it was not his fault that somebody else in sales sold the car. Yeah, it is. It's called communication among your co-workers and Barry flat out blew the deal. The assistant GM got involved briefly and he was great but if you don't want that arrogant salesman approach, stay away from Barry! What's even worse is the Jeep they found at the other dealer was already discounted by about 4,000.00.
