Hello. read my story carefully. I bought a 2013 Silverado in this crap dealer. Charley did not allow me to test drive but, i assume because of the look of the truck it was in good condition. When i was signing all documents i notice one that says AS IS. When i ask charley he told me, don't worry i will give you 30 days warranty. ( HIS WORD) After i bought the truck the the glove compartment was not fix nor the wind shield. it had a small crack. One week after i bought the truck it started with white smoke. lots of white smoke. I brought it to theme and supposedly they fix it but, they did not. They sent me to kENT auto in Wilbraham which they could not come with the problem. On my way to work check engine light and lots of smoke. I tow it to a garage in which they told me, the engine of the truck is blown. This piece of garbage dealer did not wanted to fix it because of the conn law buy AS IS! If it was not because i bought a warranty for 3 years i would have end up with a $22,000 thousand loan and no truck. My warranty paid $6400 to fix and another $2000 out of my pockets a total of $8400. Don't be a fool this dealer is ripping people off and hiding under the conn law. My Experience 5/15/2024: Called on Thursday to see if a truck was available. It was. I couldn't test drive til Monday due to work schedule & Shamrocks hrs of op. I explained that I'd call on Monday & if the truck was still for sale, that I'd come in Monday evening & test drive it. I kept my word & called Mon morning, truck is still for sale. I went in & test drove it. It was end of day and they were closing so we quickly talked numbers. Charlie (Manager) said he would call me next day as he would see about getting me more money for my trade in. He didn't call, I figured it was a busy day. I called first thing this morning when they opened and Charlie stated they sold the truck to someone else yesterday. Good business practice would've been to contact your first interested party who you gave your word that you would call her as you're working with her to move forward with the sale, and say "Another buyer has come forward and if we can't make this deal, Shamrock will proceed with the new buyer but would like to help you get into another vehicle & keep your business." I kept my word when I said I'd call Monday & come test drive it, Charlie did not keep his word when he said he would call me the next day about trade value. A person is only as good as their word and it's their honor and this shows how Shamrock conducts their business. Find a better price for the exact same vehicle they might match it. 1/10/14 We had a very positive experience and we got a good deal. They let us take the car to my mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Shamrock fixed all of the issues found by my mechanic the next day. We even got a 90 day warranty at no extra charge. I would buy from them again. I will update this review in 90 days if we run into any car issues. 1/14/14 update, My mechanic did a followup inspection today to see if all of the work was done correctly, he found one of the items was not done. Shamrock is now working on fixing the item they over looked from the first inspection report. I will update when I get the car back and re-inspected a 3rd time. 1/16/14 update, Shamrock replaced the steering rack and fixed the stuck moonroof sun shade, so far no additional issues found. We are impressed with their post purchase quick response. NOTE: Ask for Charlie, he is professional, willing to please, even post sale he is very responsive. IMPORTANT pre-purchase note: No matter what dealer you buy from have your trusted mechanic check it out. My mechanic found safety issues and mechanical issues with 3 cars I looked at from 3 different dealers, saving me hundreds post sale. One car that I did not buy had $2000 in needed repairs. We initially drove 2 hours from Massachusetts to look at a 4 runner from Toro auto ( do not buy a car from those crooks!) and happened to spot this dealer ship along the way. The sales men were incredibly nice and helpful. Prices were reasonable and the vehicles were in great condition. The management here was friendly and cordial to us, but as we were closing our sale, other customers were coming in. They were people of color, and it was clear that the manager was not happy they had walked in. He then went into a barrage of racist comments about other prior customers, people of color. If we hadn't already signed the paperwork we would have walked out the door. As we were leaving he went into even more comments that were both political and racist. Me and my boyfriend went to go and look at a Ford Diesel and my boyfriend was a serious buyer. We were outside looking at the truck and a younger man named Charlie came up to us and was nice at first. But then, my boyfriend asked if he can look inside the truck, he went to get the keys and came back. Then my boyfriend liked what he saw and he asked to go for a test drive to see how it ran and simply to see if he liked the way it drove. The guy said "oh we don't have any dealership plates on us right now because they are at the auction".... first of all I've never EVER heard of a dealership that didn't have any extra plates on them. That wasn't even the best part. Me and my boyfriend where sitting in the car in the parking lot debating if he wanted to get more info on the truck, so he decided to go inside and ask questions I stayed in the car. My boyfriend came back and said he went inside and Charlie was sitting at his desk and he saw a dealer plate on his desk... as my boyfriend got closer to him he slowly took away the dealer plate off the desk. That was absolutely ridiculous! Why would you not want someone to give you business? Why do you have to lie? So we went over across the street to Aci autogroup and had an AMAZING experience. Saw a car on their website on Thursday. Charlie called me that afternoon and we set up an appointment to test drive the car. In the mean time i gave him my information to start the buying process. On Friday I test drove the car and loved it. Charlie already had approval from the bank. Picked the car yesterday afternoon. I was pleased to find out they replaced the brake pads and rotors on Friday afternoon. Charlie was a pleasure to work with and made the process so easy and pressure free. UPDATE: About 40 days after buying the car, a gasket in the engine blew, and the engine had to be rebuilt for over $2000. I guess that wasn't covered in the safety inspection. It's possible that it isn't the dealer's fault, but it certainly doesn't reflect well on him. read more

Do not waste your time!!!! This cut rate auto dealer should get a 0 rating. Mitch, the tiny man behind the tiny desk, is rude and can't be bothered. He is unwilling to help and spent more time rolling his eyes than doing his job. Upon entering, I was immediately turned away because my trade was a lease. Instead of asking me to take a seat to find out what I was looking to accomplish, he looked out at my trade and began to tell me all the things he can't to. Mitch has "never successfully traded in a lease" he told me. Hey Mitch, perhaps you should find a new career?? I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to run some numbers and let's see where we land. He did not offer me a seat yet again, nor was there one to take, so I just stood at the front door for 10 minutes while he looked up and called the leasing company for a buyout figure. The leasing company, after taking preliminary information, explains it could take 4-5 minutes for a pay off... cue another eye roll from Mitch. I said "if this is not worth your time then hang up." He then proceeds to say "I told you I've never never successfully traded a lease." Well Mitch...it is now crystal clear why. I walked out and will not be returning. I will stick to the big guys who know what they are doing. Shamrock Motor Sales is unprofessional and ill equipped. If all their car sales associates are as lazy as Mitch is, Shamrock Motors will be out of business in no time. read more

Shamrock Motors is not your typical used car place. They buy cars at auction and then resell them at a discount. The onus is on the customer to shop within their budget and know a little something about cars. Not every car is flawless. If you find something wrong with it or are not comfortable, then don't buy it. You need to be diligent and inspect the car, take it for a test drive, know the model you are looking at and what trouble areas to pay attention to. The price on the car is the price on the car. Don't like it? Look at a different car or go somewhere else. They didn't build these cars or service them for years. They don't know every little issue with the car. They buy them at auction, make minor repairs if necessary and then sell them. They make their money on turnover. Selling lots of them. And they are priced to move. I just bought a near pristine 04 Expedition for several thousand below retail. No gimmicks or hidden fees and they even hooked me up with a great loan at a low rate. It's nice to shop with a company not trying to rip you off. That being said these are used cars and it is up to you to do your homework and test drive and look it over top to bottom. I read a few negative reviews on Yelp and they seem kinda silly to me. I can only comment on my experience and Charlie and the guys were more than helpful. Clean facility, laid-back, no pressure approach. I would recommend them all day long. My experience was 5 stars all the way. And no I don't work for them. Real customer, real review... I found a 2010 GMC Denali they had advertised on Autotrader that had all the equipment I was looking for which was a diamond white exterior with tan interior. Called as well as emailed an deceived a response in about two hours about the vehicle after I sent an inquiry on it for a few more fine line details. Went in Monday and checked it out and test drove. They let me take it home to show my wife which I appreciated and let me go on my own so no one was pressuring me to hurry up and I do not want to rush a $35,000 purchase by any means. They don't move on the price but after further research Monday night I couldn't find a better deal unless I went down to the jersey area which could be a potential disaster. I emailed with Charlie while at work and got the insurance and financing lined up. Was much less stressful thank had anticipated. Interest rate was 3.99 and was able to do with out any money out of pocket. So far so good and buying a new vehicle is the same all over and I really appreciated their no frills straightforwardness. Basically cut and dry, one price, carfax right away with no games. Would definitely recommend Charlie. read more

We fell in love with a car on a Saturday, and Charlie told us it just needed breaks fixed, so we left them our contact info, and were told we'd be called on Monday or Tuesday. We followed up with calls both days, with no response. When we called back on Wednesday, Charlie told us the car was fixed, put on the lot, and sold 15 minutes later. I am writing this review on westernmasscars.com in Springfield, MA which is the same owner as Shamrock, but his father runs this one. If like father like son means anything, continue to read. Which is supposedly where they took it to be serviced. When I first looked at the car I was going to buy it and I noticed a few things that I wanted taken care of. One, there seemed to have been a mouse living in the fog light because it's bed was still there.I asked for that to be cleaned and also there was some rust around the window and they said they would sand down and paint. When it came back "all serviced and fixed up" they never removed the stuff from the fog light and only painted over the rust, they did not sand it. But what can I really expect for an older vehicle and a rinky dink dealer. OK I went ahead with the purchase...I didn't have it looked at, my mistake, I guess I'm too trusting. I thought if that stuff was in the fog light it may not pass inspection. So the guy said, if it didn't pass for that he would come to my house and pick up the car and get it taken care of. In 2 days the check engine light went on and then the next day it started to buck and was dangerous to drive, needless to say it did not pass inspection. I brought it back and asked for my money back because I felt unsafe. I KNOW this is not normal practice but I thought he might be a decent human being. He said he would get back to me, he never did so I had to call him. He obviously didn't consider my request and took it upon himself to get it fixed and inspected. I do think it's the dealers responsibility to fix the problems, but he completely ignored my request and also got it inspected, who know if this shop passed it because they are friends. I argued with him over the phone and he finally conceeded to buying it back for $1000 dollars less, I agreed because that's how much I did not want this car or be in a deal with these people. When I said "OK" he immediately rescinded the offer..WTF! So I finally had to go pick up the car, to add insult to injury, I dropped it off with a half tank and picked up empty. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE TYPICAL SCUMBAG CAR DEALER. No one matters but themselves. I ended up trading the car in and took a $2000 loss. This was all in 2 weeks of the purchase. I would buy again from Shamrocks!! I was pleased with the price I paid for a beautiful Lexus. The car was certainly taken care of inside and out. I was impressed with there quick response and deal offered over phone I couldn't resist. They even helped me out dropping off my rental car at airport because I drove from upstate New York to buy this vehicle.. Charley was friendly and very accommodating when I arrived. I am in love with this car and so far am very pleased. I have yet to get it inspected from the lexus dealer, but sure it will pass with flying colors. This car looks and drives like a beauty. If they continue to pick quality cars to sell like this one they will be in business for many years to come! My only complaint is I only got a half a tank of gas and it made me nervous that the needle was broken on the gas gauge because they said they would get me gas. Being I had a 3 hour and 45 min drive ahead of me I immediately stopped at gas station after pulling off lot to see if gas gage was broken or car wasn't filled up.. the gas gage is fine and I filled it up.
