The new ownership has definitely proven to be a vast improvement! I had to get a deep cleaning (normally I completely dread this) but Joyce the hygienist definitely made it a much more bearable and dare I say semi enjoyable experience. Joyce carefully walks you through the process and goes at everything so gently that going to the dentist isn't a bad experience whatsoever. She was talkative and friendly and made conversation which eased up the tension of failing to have taken care of my teeth :/. Post the cleaning my mouth felt much cleaner and I got to walk away with a nice teeth cleaning kit. The waiting room seems much nicer and the deco inside is much more modern than the exterior suggests. The wait time isn't bad and the receptionists were very welcoming as well! Overall I'll definitely be coming back here since I've never been able to enjoy going to the dentist but it looks like that will be changing now! read more

5 stars? Are you serious? I wonder if there are anything wrong with the people who rated this office 5 stars. I'm sorry but you guys should be honest when rating. My brother, my mom, me, and my friend came to this office for general cleaning this year. I saw it was rated 5 stars, so I was very excited to visit. However, the service was bad. I had to wait for so long to take x-ray. Then, the dentist cleaned my teeth so carelessly. He just did it as quick as possible so he could do it for others. Then my teeth got sensitive for about a week (this could be because I had bad teeth). When I got home and had a look at my teeth, I saw that it was not cleaned completely. I was not happy. Then I talked to my mom, my brother, and a friend about that problem and they all agreed that the dentists there do the job very carelessly and irresponsively. We regreted to come there. And for sure, we look for a better office. Sorry. I have to write this review because I don't want other people to be fooled like us. To the staffs: if you want to keep your business, you need to do it by your heart. Now I know why you had to change the name of your office. read more

I love coming to this Dentist! I got my root canal done here and my teeth are perfect now. Dr. Quynh was very thorough and quick and she was extra generous with the "happy juice" so I didn't feel a thing haha. IN LOVE WITH DR TAM! And Gum-chucks! I've been coming here for almost a decade and I always dreaded coming to this place. I'm talking each visit was a minimum of at least a 3 hour wait WITH an appointment. Just awful! Ever since it went under new management, it's definitely taken a turn for the better! :) wait times are on the dot of scheduled timing if not, no longer than a 5 minute wait. The staff really acknowledges who you are as an individual and they take the time to remember who you are. Dr Tam is incredible. Her eye for precision is over the top. She TRULY cares about the condition of your oral hygiene and takes the time to explain everything to your understanding. She triple checks her work and never lets you leave without a perfectly clean, fresh smile, as well as a thorough understanding of the importance in structure of your unique situation. I told her I wanted to whiten my teeth, any other Doctor would've taken the money. But not Dr Tam, she said I didn't need it and just suggested a deep cleaning. She was absolutely right! My teeth just had its normal stains and wear and tear. Nothing that a little cleaning, and polishing couldn't brighten up. On another positive note, she changed my life today when she hit me with the "gum-chucks" a newly innovative way to floss and floss well. I've only used it once, in front of her to floss my entire mouth, and its already dramatically changed my perspective on flossing! Makes flossing that much more fun and thorough. Since I tend to to miss the 6 month mark for routine cleaning, she even made sure that an appointment was set for me in the books so that I don't forget. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist. I didn't think anyone could. At my old place, there was always long waits even with appointments so really making an appointment was useless. The dentists always seemed to be in a rush to get you in and get you out so I felt like they never did a very thorough cleaning. But ever since I started coming to Bolsa Dental, my experience with visiting the dentist has vastly improved. Dr. Tam is everything I want in a dentist. She genuinely cares about the condition of your teeth and takes the time to walk you through with the cleaning process. She's sweet and VERY thorough with her work yet also gentle. I didn't feel any pain at all when she was cleaning my teeth. What I love most is that she is very professional, keeping the conversation friendly and not at all prying like with my old dentist. After she was done, my teeth felt felt so much cleaner compared to when I had cleaning done at my old place. I knew then that Dr. Tam is my new go to dentist. I will definitely be back for my next appointment with Dr. Tam and I know for sure this time around I won't dread going! read more

Originally I rated this a five star. I don't know what happened. I recently had a dentist appointment with my sister and our appointment was at 2pm and we weren't seen until 3:35ish. Seriously what a waste of time. It was also on a Sunday! You wouldn't think it would be super busy. We've come on Sundays before and we were usually in and out. I understand that things could get backed up, but about an hour and half to be seen for 10 mins. The most irritating thing was there were several people who came in after us and were seen first! (Seriously!!! Four patients who came in after us were seen before us. They were new patients and had to fill out paperwork and were still seen FIRST!) Needless to say we were getting restless. We kept asking when we were going to be seen because we were well over the 45 mins of waiting mark and people who just walked in were being seen first. We were actually about 20mins early for the appointment also. The ladies were annoyed with us for asking when were we going to be seen I guess because they proceeded to talk in their language and looked at us and I heard one of them mumble annoying... That really kind of set me over the edge. I'm sorry am I in a nail shop? They have great Yelp reviews, but if they continue to conduct their business this way they'll start getting bad ones too. And all this new patients you put before your loyal ones won't be coming in! read more

Switched doctors because I'm pretty finicky with who I have poking at my teeth. Not a fan of dental visits, but Dr. Khiet made it a tolerable experience.
