I'm glad the city of Bellflower has a great restaurant such as this one. What I really like about this restaurant is the presentation of the food and how consistent it is every time you go there. Yeah I'm sure there are some people who have bad experiences but consistently the food is presented very well at this restaurant. My food does not look rushed. I LOVE this place! Totally a go to for lunch or dinner. Great prices for great food. I've kinda fallen into the routine of having the 4 tacos (2 beef, 2 chicken) with avocado. I can't seem to order anything else just because those tacos are awesome!! I work walking distance and I always see someone in my office buying something from the Koo Koo. This place is down the street from us and we go there when I'm craving their fusion beef tacos which btw are pretty good. Plus their hot sauce is pretty spicy so I suggest you get it on the side...my husband likes the cheese burgers so that's what he usually gets. I used to love the food from here, came every week with friends, but the food doesn't taste the same. I'm not sure if it's the amount of staff turn over or what but I hate the inconsistency of the food and employees. It's nice to go to the same place and see familiar faces but it's always something with this place. It's so sad that they treat their employees so poorly, unfortunately I witnessed it first hand and shortly after that the employee was no longer there. Treat your employees better and maybe you'll have some consistency with your food and customers read more

Found this place via yelp and after all the reviews i had to try it out! Unfortunately i wasnt as fond of it as everyone else seemed to be the asian mexican twist is definitely something else but just not for me i would have to say the steak fusion tacos were the best thing i had i might eat those again on an off day maybe but that would be it. The koo koo balls were hard and had the grease taste to them that i cant stand they are in no comparison to the amazing potato balls at portos! The koo koo fries were good except the chicken was chewy and gross if i ordered them again i would definitely get no meat it kind of put me in a bad way when it came to trying the chicken side of the koo koo wrap and the chicken fusion tacos.. Overall just not up to my standards in taste however the staff was very friendly and nice made me feel super welcome but just not my cup of tea read more

Solid 4 stars...borderline 5. Once I've had a chance to sample the rest of their fare I'll update. Clean, friendly service is a plus! AND they have a flat screen playing the football game...BIG PLUS! :) This joint is a rival for Genkiyaki in Lakewood. I had the chicken deluxe burrito (teriyaki chicken, rice, onion rings (I know right...), avocado and I opted for no pico degallo sauce. This burrito was as good as I've ever had! Seriously yummy! They chargrill their meats so you get that nice crusted texture and they don't add a lot of teriyaki sauce so that you can customize your own sauces with their extensive selection of stuff. Tacos are REALLY good as is their teriyaki beef bowls. Their teri sauce isn't too sweet and I like that! The only slight criticism I have is of their "balls"... no dirty minds here lol. They make "Koo Koo Balls" that are like Japanese rice balls but instead of pickled stuff inside or w/e they have teri meat mixed with cheese then deep fried. Texture is nice...but, the inside mixture is bland with the addition of the cheese. I'd stick with pure teri meat on the inside and with that nice crunchy outer texture...you'd have a winner! Good...but, I wouldn't order the "balls" again. Even the "ball sauce" doesn't really enhance it that much. They have a much more diverse menu than Genkiyaki with burgers and burritos and sushi rolls and much more. I definitely will re-visit to try the rest of their menu. It was good enough to become a regular stop for me. Enjoy...YMMV. read more

I had the beef Kookoo fries and i was satisfied with the amount i received but when i mixed the fries with all the ingredients it felt like the fries went cold and soggy which kind of ruined the fries but the taste was there that made it satisfying to eat. read more

Definitely one of the best asian fusion. We always eat here during our lunch break and we always eat the fusion tacos! they are the bomb! Totally recommend. You can also order in advance so when you come in you can eat it right away and you don't have to wait 10-15minutes for it to be cooked. Very friendly staff. Plus it has a drive thru! read more
