I love any and everything that has a fusion concept. Was in the mood for sushi, and wanted a drive thru.. somehow.. not to much to ask right? Well they came up and I decided to go. Looking at reviews, I saw a photo of a jalapeño bomb but I didn't see it on the menu online , and the photo didn't have a description. I arrived in the drive thru ( YES THEY HAVE ONE!!! ) and asked if they had jalapeño bombs and they said yes! They call it jalapeño bom. I will say, even though THE jalopeno is larger, I've never had an order that only contained one jalapeño, split in half... these are my go to and they have a minimum of 4 halves, which is 2 jalapeños filled. This only has one jalapeño, split in half filled, for 6.99 which I feel is more on the steep side for just one. They have fusion tacos, which I decided to try because I love signature items. I chose the beef, and they have chicken also or you can do half and half. Cucumbers, onion, and cilantro, teriyaki sauce and hot sauce, 4 to an order for 12.99. They are definitely worth it. But they didn't have the sesame seed garnish topping like I saw on prior photos. The drinks aren't on the menu but you can ask what they have. Customer service was great and food was fresh. I LOVE this place. I used to come here back when it was Koo Koo Grill, and I loved it then just as much as I love it now. Their bom bom fries are my favorite and always a MUST. I don't know what they put in their sauce, but I'm convinced it's addictive. Something about the sauce with the cheese just hits every single time. They also gave me a spicy teriyaki sauce on the side that really packs a punch. It's honestly spicier than I ever anticipated, but in a good way. I brought my boyfriend here for the first time and he got the beef teriyaki bowl, which he said was delicious. Our only complaint is the price. It's a little on the expensive side I feel the portion doesn't scream $15, it kind of screams $10. Still tasty though. I also got a Bom Bom ball to try and... well... it was so good that I ate it before my boyfriend even had a chance to try it. Oops. Stopped by the drive-thru and spent a little over $11. I ordered the chicken taco and the Bom Bom egg rolls. The taco needed more seasoning, so I added hot sauce to give it some flavor -- overall, I'd rate it 2/5. The Bom Bom egg rolls were a hit! They were crunchy, flavorful, and packed with filling. I've come to this place one time in the past a long time ago, and recently came back with my husband because we were both feeling teriyaki. Inside is a bit dirty and dreary. They have plenty of seating inside, but did notice a wasp/bee? flying around in the store. Cashier took our order right away, and we received our food in a few minutes. We ordered a medium chicken and medium beef teriyaki. The portions are really small. When I got our order I thought it was a small, but it was the right size. I don't eat much and I definitely felt I could've eaten more after finishing off my food. That being said, I thought the quality was really good! The chicken and beef had good char and flavor, the sauce was thick and delicious. Really my only complaint is the portion size, and with other teriyaki options with more competitive pricing I'm not sure I'll be back. Was in a hurry had missed lunch. It was 5 pm on a weekday. I hit the drive thru. Ordered the medium chicken and beef bowl. I asked if it came with green onions on top. Order was ready in less than a minute. When arriving at my destination less than 5 min away food was still warm. Portion was child menu appropriate. The quality and taste of the beef was fatty and obviously not prepared within any close proximity of time. The chicken was even worse. Rice was not fresh. This was my first time here, and the cashier was absolutely awesome! She had a great attitude, was very friendly, and was honest throughout the entire experience. The only issue I had was with the small Asian cook. After the cashier told her that I had ordered and paid extra for extra meat, she still insisted on not giving it to me. Even when I went back to have the extra meat added to my bowl, she seemed to have a problem with doing it. Did a quick drive-thru to pick up some lunch for me and my boyfriend and ordered 2 of their Bom Bom Wraps ($12 for chicken and $14 for beef). The wraps tasted great - came out piping and had that nice little crunch. Pretty good portion size and very addicting with their Bom Bom Sauce! My only gripe is that you're paying close to $30 after tax for just 2 wraps - which is a bit crazy imo. I didn't realize this, but Bom Bom Grill used to be known as Koo Koo Grill and has the same menu as the original location in Anaheim. They have teriyaki bowls, burritos, tacos, fusion egg rolls, fusion fries, and fusion wraps. But what made them famous is their bom bom balls, previously known as koo koo balls. Bom Bom Balls (3 balls for $6.50) - This consisted of a deep fried rice ball with chicken, cheese, cilantro, onion, and spices. The balls themselves didn't have a whole lot of chicken, and parts of the rice ball near the outer layer were over cooked and too crunchy. However, I really liked this fusion concept and it definitely has potential to be better, if only they had cooked it properly and had more meat inside. Teriyaki Chicken bowl ($8 for medium / $7.40 for small) - The bowls here are your typical Flame Broiler/Waba Grill/Fuji Grill bows with just rice and some lightly sauced teriyaki chicken and sprinkling of green onions. I appreciate the fact that there weren't any charred chicken pieces, like some other places. The medium bowl isn't enough to fill one up, you definitely have to order other items on the menu. Overall, I thought the bowls here are priced slightly more than other similar Japanese teriyaki bowl places. Taste wise everything was just ok. The bom bom balls are definitely a unique item and the only thing I would come back to this place for.
