Even though I approved the tattoo when Megan placed it on my skin, she still felt responsible for putting it on incorrectly and offered to correct it. She immediately did some type of tattoo removal process. I returned a month later for her to check the status of the lightening process. To be completely honest with you, the tattoo was still 100% visible, but she was pleased with the results and said to let the process finish and we'd re-do/cover the tattoo in another four weeks. I went in today, and again, the symbol tattoo is still very visible to me, but we proceeded with the cover up tattoo. It's a beautiful tattoo. I can still vaguely see the original tattoo, but I love it. The bottom line is that Megan is a great artist, manager, and person. I would say I don't think the tattoo removal/lightening system works very well, so just double check that everything is correct when it's placed and you'll have a beautiful tattoo (btw, the same day I had the symbol done, Megan did a beautiful silhoutte of a cat for me, which I ADORE!

I am only selecting 1 Star because I have to select something. This is a 0…read more Long story.... I had scheduled an appointment to have my locs combined. Now, mind you I didn't pick the day or time....the stylist did. I agreed because that worked for me. I stay in MO and the shop is in IL about 40 minutes away from my house. I had several confirmation notifications this week, that I followed through with. Including a deposit that was made at the time of scheduling. So, this morning I received a message asking if I can come in later because she forgot her uncle's funeral was today. I replied that I cannot reschedule because I have a prior engagement. She then said okay see you at 8:30am (the original appointment was scheduled for 8am though). But, I replied "okay". I get there early, she pulls up at 8:30am. We walk in, I sit down. She then asks "so what are we doing?" I said "I sent you the pictures of my hair and the picture of the way I want my locs combined". The stylist replied "I just only noticed the style". I told her that I asked for them to be combined together to make them thicker (which was in our stream of messages). Now, during this time another stylist asked her was she still going to the funeral and she said "yes". I'm thinking "how". I guess the joke was on me. So, she grabs some tools and so call attempts to do as I asked. She asked me about combining 3 together and I told her that is what I was going for. Before that she mentioned just retwisting and styling my hair, which I said I didn't want to do. This whole time she is huffing and talking, stating that she doesn't have the right tools and that her tools are at home. I am trying to stay patient and calm & also figure out why is what you needed was left at home. She keeps saying "so what do you want to do?" Trying to still talk me into a reloc and style. I am like "no, I want them combined". I even told her that I can wait while she gets what she needs. She mentioned again me getting a style and then coming back. I explained like two or three times that stay about 40 minutes away. She offered to come to me, but I made time for this appointment for today. I don't know when I can do that with my work schedule and weekends. She stood there and asked me again about a style. At this point I am pissed and disappointed. So I said "if I have no other choice then, I guess I have to get the style!" This whole experience was trash!!!!! I am very proud of myself for keeping my cool! There was no apology....no offer of compensation for MY INCONVENIENCE...no nothing!!! I am truly disappointed, frustrated, pissed off and drained. I am so mad I want to cry.... I wish I could still do my hair myself. Since the stroke it has become more and more challenging (WHICH WAS ALSO EXPRESSED TO HER). The sad part is, this is someone that I know and was willing to support. I was debating tagging the shop...still contemplating And yes, I walked out without saying anything. Because at that point that was the best thing for EVERYBODY!!!!! Edit....And as I was under the dryer I noticed one of my locs on the floor. She didn't mention that either

My most recent experience here was to finally get microblading done after a long journey! Let me…read morestart by saying this: it is WORTH YOUR MONEY TO FIND AN ARTIST YOU LOVE!!! I went to someone who was in my price range a few years ago because I wAnTeD tHeM RiGhT NoW and was too impatient to save up more money. They didn't match each other and the color turned out dark purple, so I politely expressed my concerns with the original artist at my touch-up session. Unfortunately it still didn't go well, and I ended up with what you see in my "before" picture. Soon after that, I went to Frida Cosmetic Art to start the saline removal process. She had a daunting task ahead of her. It took 5 sessions due to how deep and thick the previous "artist" did it. Each removal session was reasonably priced and had impressive results. After that difficult experience, I decided I wanted to be a microblading artist myself. Perla Olave, the owner of Frida, provided in-depth training sessions and allowed me to shadow her a couple times. She is an amazing instructor, but I'm not ready to try microblading on a real person yet. As it turns out, it's way harder than it looks! Now, I truly appreciate the talent, skill, and dedication it takes to be a reputable artist. Last week, she did my microblading for the first time. She did a combo brow with nanoblading. This means that there are microblade strokes at the head and nanoblade for the rest of my eyebrow. We chose this because I barely have any eyebrow hair and she had to work over a few of the botched remnants that were too stubborn for the saline removal. After the 1st session, my brows look soooo much better than I ever thought possible! I literally cannot believe that this is my face when I catch a glance in the mirror. I'm excited for the "final product" after my 2nd session in a few weeks!!! I would 1000000% recommend Perla Olave of Frida Cosmetic Art for microblading to anyone who wants great eyebrows.

By midnight, AT LEAST 20 fans had fallen out. I arrived at Lash Lounge the morning of 4/18/26 (They DAY OF my birthday & brunch, which is exactly what I was trying to avoid, hence why I came yesterday for the service) to get this resolved and despite their opening time being 9am, they were not open & I stood outside in the cold, calling 3 times & leaving 1 voicemail, until 9:18am and they still were not open. I then went go sit in my car. I finally saw a light come on about 5 or so minutes later & approached the entrance again. The door was still locked. The front desk receptionist had to come unlock the door despite it being business hours, which I'm pretty sure is a violation of a code in itself. After explaining the situation & her calling the manager. She returned and initiated a refund, which is all fine and dandy, but I still have a "full set" of lash extensions with spaces and gapes all over. The front desk receptionist then tells me the "senior stylist" that did my lashes won't be in until 10am & she has a 10am appt with no openings today except for MAYBE being able to squeeze me in at 1pm. She then goes on to tell me that I wasn't even a candidate for lash extensions but the stylist did them anyway. Would I not be wise to inform me of that? Especially since I've gotten lash extensions HERE AT THIS VERY LOCATION multiple times & have never been informed of this NOR had an issues with my lash extensions. When Jhave got her she came out front (The kindness from yesterday was no longer present which seemed to rub off on the receptionist as well as our interaction leading up to this was completely fine. She had up to this point been very kind & helpful. She actually looked appalled when I showed her the photo of how many fans had fallen out) and said that "They informed me of your issue. I wouldn't know if it's an issue with me. It could be the humidity." She then went on to blame me stating that I move/fidget during my appointments (I don't move my head, I fidget with my arms/hands due to personal & medical reasons) and that I got up to use the restroom during my application (again for personal/medical reasons which I DID IN FACT ask her if that would be ok/if it would affect anything). I explained to her that these EXACT things have taken place at all of my appointments, as I made them aware of at my VERY FIRST appointment at Lash Lounge Shiloh over 2 years ago with a lash tech by the name of Kelsey! My 5 star review is actually still up! I shouldn't have to air out my health battles in a Lash Lounge lobby. I then asked Jhave what the actually issue was because the receptionist told me that I was not a candidate but the service was performed anyway. Jhave then told me that this was in fact, not correct information and the receptionist mixed me up with another patron (another mistake/misinformation on their part). I now have to cancel my birthday brunch. This is not how I imagined or planned my birthday this year.
