We live in the neighborhood and were hungry and looking for a place to eat on a Friday evening, after a long week. Upon arriving, we were seated right away, and within minutes had filled water glasses, a crunchy snack and a dip to tide us over. I really enjoyed my meal here and thought the service, while not the speediest, was friendly and thoughtful. A big plus is that it's BYOB and there is a very reasonably-priced liquor store just down the street with a selection of good wine. My boyfriend got a chicken curry and was satisfied, and I got the shrimp vindaloo, and if you like heat, as I do, it did not disappoint. Service was great! We were immediately greeted by the host Shamim. He offered us water, some delicious rice pudding, and a place to sit at - even though we just ordered takeout. Maybe they just have an issue with seamless because the only other bad review here was a seamless order, but it took over 2 hours for the food to get here and the food wasn't very warm when it got here either. My friend who ordered called them 1 and a half hours after ordering and was told the delivery guy was already on his way. It still took over thirty minutes for the food to get here after that call. This place is the worst! I had eaten here many times and it had been okay. But tonight I ordered delivery and it was the worst experience I've ever had with a delivery service. The food came 1.5 hours late, cold, and I wish I could attach a photo here - it had leaked everywhere! I lost half of the dish I had ordered, and it messed up my carpet. I ordered the okra dish with garlic naan. This place is a 7 minute walk away from me (I should've just gone to pick it up) but It took over an hour to arrive. I ordered at like 11 pm so it's not like I was even competing with the dinner crowd. The delivery guy didn't bring it to my door (even though I had already tipped 20% on Seamless) and instead called for me to come get it. The okra was bland (I've never had bland Indian food before) and oh, they forgot my naan. I'm always amazed at restaurants who are bad at everything and are still in business. I went here recently on my birthday on a whim and it was an amazing experience. The staff/waiters were really nice and attentive. I went near closing time (we asked if it was ok--still felt a little guilty though) and they were incredibly welcoming about it. The food was amazing. It came out in hot plates sizzling and steaming. I was shocked at how much food came out because we definitely thought we'd ordered enough for 2 but it was more like for 4. The prices are extremely reasonable and the atmosphere is nice. The whole place has a good vibe to it which I definitely appreciated. I'll be back for sure. read more

Unlike most other reviewers who order take out, we eat in the restaurant and always find it to be lovely and delicious. Service is prompt (never an empty water glass), the prices are fair, and the food is fresh. Mango lassies for under $3 can't be beat! They are always so nice and pleasant to us in the restaurant. Just going to jump right to why I took one star off: they are NEVER on time for delivery! It will always come at least ten minutes later than it says so just order wa ahead of time. The food here is pretty darn good, but the chicken is not the most tender, especially in the chicken tikka masala (which is normal my favorite). Vegetarian dishes are absolutely excellent and if you're into cheese try the ponir appetizer - 100% you have to. read more

Ordered seamless from here. I've been waiting more than 2 hours for my food. Every time I call, the man on the phone just barks 10 more mins at me! And that was 50 minutes ago! This is usually my go-to spot for Indian as the food is pretty good, however, my most recent order was delivered more than an hour later than it was supposed to. We ate from here one late night in search of food that's not typical fast food. The food tasted fine and there were no issues the first time so lastnight we decided to order again. We ordered the banana pakora and the Poori bhaji and when the food arrived it looked fine in the container. As we ate and the food settled, we started to feel nauseous. We figured maybe we overate but that wasn't it. The next morning we started to feel light headed, nauseous, stomach cramps, cold sweats and by evening we were vomiting!! Typical case of food poisoning!!! Never again will be patronize Bombay Heights!! Food Preparation and food shelf life 101! A refresher course is needed ASAP for these people!! food was good but customer service very bad. we requested for extra chutney to which waiter said first finish the chutney you have on your table n I was like there are some people who are vegetarian n someone accidentally dipped non veg appetizer in the sauce. the waiter was too rude. we ordered some veg n non veg entrees which were to b served with rice. instead if separate rice for each entree there was just one bowl of rice which was not fresh. it was reheated in microwave. the minute we finished eating waiter brought our check to the table skipping the dessert that v had ordered with entrees. when v brought that to waiters attention he took the check back brought our desserts to our table and 2 mins later our check again to the table even before v finished our dessert. also when v asked about the difference in the 2 types of coffee on the menu waiter said don't get it its very disgusting coffee something that an employee should never say so. he's disrespecting his job n employer its not that the restaurant was bz. it was empty except for our table. never going there again read more

So after I wrote a review stating the food was good but they didn't provide cutlery which they never put forks and napkins in the bag the manager calls me to complain about my review. Every other restaurant provides utensils for the meal you're paying for. Why this manager feels he's above doing so i don't know. Their food taste good but they have NO CLUE about quality customer service or etiquette. I will gladly take my business elsewhere to a place the manager doesn't have an attitude problem and recommend you do the same! I was expecting an apology and a thank you.
