We loved Bombay Kitchen! The masala dosa was delicious and a favorite. The samosa chaat and mattar paneer were both amazing. I would highly recommend this to anyone! New to the area and my first thought was to find a local Indian restaurant, this popped up. My family and I were pleasantly surprised! The menu is very diverse with options ranging from chats to dosas and everything in between. The restaurant is easily located with sufficient parking spaces. Still figuring out the area, so can't give you specifics but it seemed to be located in a pretty busy area. Due to COVID, we are still easing into eating at restaurants so we ended up doing take out but it seems that they are opening up to indoor dining and have outdoor seating available as well. We ended up ordering papdi chaat (which was a little too mild but still delicious) samosa chaat, and pav bhaji (which we ordered spicy and oooo was it SPICY). Now i can usually handle the heat pretty well but the pav bhaji was just a tad too spicy for my taste, next time will have to order medium. Quantity wise, you got a fair amount and we had some leftovers which still tasted good the next day. Forgot to take pictures, but definitely will be coming back! read more

What I liked: -Food was absolutely DELICIOUS! It was so good, we ordered some take out for the next day. -Staff was nice. Offered free tasting samples of various Indian sauces. What I didn't like: -Service took a long time. I assumed 45 minutes - 60 minutes to be in and out (party of 2). Took much longer. Be prepared to wait. We decided to check out a new restaurant to *spice* things up during "The Pandemic-2021 Edition." The woman at the counter was extremely kind and helpful, and guided us through the menu! The wait turned out to be a bit longer than anticipated for our food (but even then, maybe 30 minutes max for a LOT of food, which I think is still reasonable). The woman kindly gave us free mango drinks on the house while we waited, which were very tasty! They get 5 stars for the hospitality alone. The food was delicious. We got biryani (chicken and lamb), and tried the jalapeño cheese samosas. Definitely spicy, if you're into that (we got medium spice), but you can always tone down the spice levels accordingly. The sauces that come with the food were delicious as well. And, like any good home-cooking type food, it was definitely better the next day. You WILL have leftovers; the value is incredible! We look forward to patronizing Bombay Kitchen again - not only for the good food, but for supporting the kind and friendly people in our community that work there. read more

Yum!! Second time. Had to get the paneer with the chicken sauce again-just so good. Also tried the dal makhani this time and it was also amazing. Will try medium spice next time instead of mild. It probably goes without saying, but we've been ordering a bit more takeout than usual recently. Indian food is one of our go-to choices, so I was excited to see a new option available. We got an assortment of dishes for our first order and were pleasantly surprised with all of them. I had to get some lamb biryani because it's pretty much my favorite Indian dish. We also tried the aloo samosa and the paneer puff, and they were both terrific (and HUGE). My wife ordered the paneer tikki kathi roll and the chicken keema naan pizza and loved both. I may have snuck a taste of them as well, and I can confirm they were delicious. I'd post some pictures of our food, but there's nothing left to photograph. I'm sure opening a restaurant right now can't be easy, but I'm really glad they did because it will for sure become a regular in our takeout rotation. read more

Super friendly service, it is only take-out currently, but i was greeted warmly and treated to a couple bakery case items while i waited (both were excellent). Ordered the lamb korma and palek paneer, both spice level hot. The lamb korma was very good, tender pieces of lamb (no bones!) and the sauce was well seasoned yet you could still taste the tanginess of the yogurt. The palek paneer was just as good (i had saag paneer in mind), a wonderful dish. The rice was even flavored with a slice of ginger and lime and a bit of cilantro, a very nice aromatics touch. The spice level: at first it didnt feel hot enuf, but at the end of the meal my mouth did feel a tingle, but more telling was that the top of my head was sweaty, so i would have to say; very well done! A very good addition to the west toledo choices and i would def recommend, looking forward to the day i can dine in. read more

Stopped in last night for dinner for my wife and I. I had the chicken biryani and naan. My wife had samosa chaat and a veggie puff. The biryani was great, with good spice, it was a little light on the chicken, but overall the portion was generous. The naan was soft and the veggie puff flaky. My wife found the chaat to be too spicy (she has a low tolerance, it was no hotter than a mild curry hot sauce), which worked out well for me as I had leftovers the next day, and the chaat was amazing. I'll be ordering it next time along with dosas. The service was strong and the manager/owner was incredibly friendly. read more

The service and food we ate here are truly unmatched by any of our experiences in Toledo. From the moment we entered, the owner was friendly and courteous and provided an optimal experience for new patrons by explaining the flavors and textures of the curries and he gave us some recommendations. We ordered a mango lassi, Samosa Chaat, a medium spicy Dal Makhani, and a mild Veg Kofta. The main courses came with basmati rice that was cooked and seasoned to perfection and we also order regular and garlic naan. The naan was possibly the best we've ever had and had a rich texture and flavor. Each dish was incredibly flavorful and absolutely delicious! The mango drink was fresh and had a deliciously unique flavor. I was surprised that this place was not packed at lunchtime on a Saturday. That tells me that Bombay Kitchen is a hidden gem and is ready for more attention. Bombay Kitchen has become our new go-to take out favorite. My partner and I both love Indian cuisine, and this place has not only classic takes on the Indian menu, but inventive options that are now staples of our weekend take out menu. The staff are always friendly and engaging, and the wait time for call in orders is spot on. I strongly recommend the mini chicken puffs (buttery, spicy, savory...delicious!) and the tandoor chicken wings. Flavor, spice, presentation A++. Plus they are a local business opened during the pandemic, and let me tell you, every weekend we go to pick up our order, the place is happily busy. We keep a copy of their menu in the car so we can try new options each time, and so far, we have not been disappointed! What an incredible place! The ambiance is nothing to crow about, but the service and the food are superb! When we told the young lady who waited on us that we were novices to Indian food, she walked us through our options with patience and kindness. I've never had Indian food before( that I didn't make) so it was a nice change I went in to get the full experience it was nice and clean as well. The food was very hot but the rice was fluffy and the chicken was flavorful and really tender the way I like it . The women running the place was very nice and open to my son and I exploring their culture . We sat and watch the big screen while the Indian music played , I was waiting about 30 min but she was nice enough to give us a free mango drink for our wait, I'm not sure what it was called but my son loved it. I've passed this places at least a dozen times without knowing it was there but now that I do, I will be making a lot of trips to this restaurant. Here are some of the great things you can expect to see: A quick, efficient online ordering system that made it easy for me (a vegan) to request that my food be made dairy-less, a friendly staff who interact with you (they even recommended another dish for me to try when I come back :), and of course, flawlessly authentic Indian cooking. From the clean, open, inviting and engaging atmosphere to the stellar hostesses/owner and Bollywood music videos on the big screen we had a great experience. And the food! I got the lamb pizza and it was EXACTLY what I was hoping it would be; the lamb was tender and the tikka sauce made me wonder why I ate pizza with regular red sauce my whole life. I tried Bombay for the first time this week. I can specifically for the samosas, and let me just say they did not disappoint. My husband was a first timer in any Indian food, he ate EVERYTHING. I was not absolutely thrilled with the veggie puffs, or the chicken benyaki.. But my husband absolutely loved them both. My kids had a cheese pizza, which they loved. Honestly I did too.
