This was my first time here and it will not be the last! The cauliflower was amazing, the hummus was delicious, and the falafel (first time I've ever tried it) was incredible! I could've had my whole meal be just the appetizers and I would've been happy. The dinner came out and the rice was seasoned and tasted awesome! The chicken and lamb chops were *chef's kiss*. My favorite (aside from the falafel) was the Kafta. It's the first time I had it and my taste buds were blown away. Of course we had to end the meal with dessert (not much room left but we made it work) and the tuxedo mousse cake was made with so much love you could taste it in every bite. Not only was the food AMAZING, the staff were extremely friendly, they took the time to learn our names, very attentive, and made the whole experience that much better. Took a random detour to Ameeras between Michigan and Dayton. Here's our take!! Service: awesome. Nick treats you like family. He even called me his cousin. Lol Food: Hummus - delicious taste, a bit thinner than other hummus we've had. But, when that homemade hot sauce is added I forgot my own name it was THAT good. Kibbie: well seasoned meat, the breading(?) was superb. It was not super crunchy. The breading element also individual bite was stellar! You guessed it, we dipped that baby in the hot sauce and the yogurt sauce. The appetizers were so good, we let Nick pick the entrees. I am pretty sure he gave us the chicken and beef sish kabobs. Chickens came with the garlic aoili type of dip (sauce?) on the side. You know I'm going to say it was amazing and delicious. Beef: this man cooked those tenderloin pieces better than MOST steakhouses. It was a perfect medium rare. You guessed it - it was delicious. Desserts (for take out lol) chocolate cake and grandmas rice pudding. Rice pudding: thick and creamy, not too sweet. Personally, think a few golden raisins would be fantastic in there. This doesn't seem to be in the menu. Maybe it's a special thing. Chocolate cake: this was the thing that slightly disappointed us. The taste was ok but it was dry. Now, he told us his cousin in Cleveland makes them for him. So it isn't like he can get a fresh one outta the kitchen everyday. So, I'd take one a bit on the drier side and have a milk chaser than commercial garbage. Do yourself and your taste buds a favor, stop in to see Nick. Tell him cousin Kerri from Dayton sent you. Went with a group of friends on Friday evening. We had an awesome experience, shared some apps including the hummus, cauliflower and falafel- all 3 were great, especially the cauliflower. Then got the fattoush with Ameeras favorite and the pitza which were both solid- highly recommend the pitza. Next time I would just get the beef because it was that good, just melted in my mouth. There are multiple reasons to patronize this establishment: 1) Ameera serves terrific Mediterranean fare. 2) The prices are fair. 3) The owner is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. 4) The owner is very service-oriented. This new Mediterranean restaurant is located in a small strip plaza south of the center of Sylvania near Lourdes campus. The storefront is not so hard to spot and the parking is ample. Nick, the owner, was the former proprietor for Aladdins. He just opened this place recently. On the weeknight that we visited, we were surprised to walk in and find that they were only accommodating takeaway orders. Nick said he did not have any help that night due to employees not wanting to work many hours because of COVID issues. We said we were really interested in eating out, and not taking something home. He then said, "Come on in. I'll open the dining room and wait on you." He turned on the lights, seated us, took our order and prepared the food. This was remarkable orientation toward customer service and satisfaction. It is not something you will often see, and it was an action that set Ameera apart from an ordinary restaurant in my opinion. We decided to try the Hummus Shawarma Plate and the Ameera Salad. He makes his own salad dressings and the Tomato Basil was outstanding. We had Arnold Palmers to drink (tea plus lemonade) which was a nice touch. We finished with two lovely pieces of Baklava. We were very happy with our meal and the service was the best we've had in a long time. Our final bill including food, drinks, tax and tip was $46. At $23 per person, this was a great value given the quality of the fare and the extraordinary service. We also had some food to take home for another meal. 10/15/21 Nick - man, tonight you did it all. And I literally mean it ALL. Host, waiter, chef, busperson and I assume later tonight, dishwasher. Staffing is so hard to come by these days and yet you take it in stride and give the best that you can offer to your patrons. You were gracious enough to allow my fiance' and I to dine in even though you were completely shorthanded. Tomorrow you have a luncheon party of 17 people!! And you'll handle it by yourself...all of it...again!! Most importantly, you do all of this with one of the best customer service oriented attitudes I have seen in a long time. Now, the food... The menu offers a very wide selection of both traditional and a few newer items (at least to me.) The presentation is excellent. Fresh, most homemade...heck, just go. You'll be pleased with anything you order. And if not, you're "too picky" and do not understand what it takes to run a small business and particularly a food service business. I had placed a take out order on a Friday evening around 5:15 pm. Which consented of one Dewail Rolled, Hummus Tabouli Rolled and a Ameras Favorite Combo. First and foremost all three were excellent and the right portions for each. I was given a 20 min wait for pickup and when I arrived it was ready. I will defiantly return to try other dishes. Sylvania, Ohio is fortunate enough to have some very good Mediterranean style establishments offering their own interpretations along with their family traditions. On a business trip here, our hosts wisely picked this spot for dinner and I have to say it was the perfect pick. First thing was the owner welcoming us all... he's so warm and kind! Super attentive. We were welcomed with hummus and a selection of pickled veggies, both delicious. Then we had salad and the absolute BEST falafel I've ever had. They were light, and crisp and full of flavor. Finally we had a platter of flavorful grilled chicken (white and dark) and beef, as well as grilled lamb chops. All finger-licking! This food is the real deal Mediterranean food, tastes home made and fully authentic. The cherry on the cake was the baklava, which was home-made the same day. Beat I ever had. Service and attention by the owner was a treat and we all agreed everything we ate was absolutely amazing and top notch. Fully recommend it! I have a lot of special dietary accommodations to consider (VG, GF, DF) and it is often tough to find a place where I can enjoy a meal with my family that doesn't leave me with a dry salad or nothing at all. Ameera's food is INCREDIBLE (I had the lentil soup and falafel with baba ganoush) and everyone left full and happy. The owner, Nick, even went out of his way to make my wrap when they usually don't for dinner (after I ordered it not knowing that). My kids got dessert and practically inhaled their giant slices of cake on the final two-hour leg of our trip down to Columbus. We are already talking about stopping in for lunch on our way back! Just off Main St at the end of a small strip mall you will find this unpretentious gem of a Lebanese restaurant. The ebullient owner and chef shared with us that since Covid-19, he has had great trouble finding servers, so he was waiting tables as well. This allowed us to learn more about the dishes we were trying, which were excellent. The dawalli (rice-stuffed grape leaves) were delicious and free of the saltiness and excess sourness that often mar this appetizer. The two chicken dishes were subtly spiced and properly cooked as well. I had a glass of Ksara reserve red wine that outshone many a more expensive merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon. Try the rice pudding for a nice light dessert, and one of the 30+ teas available ! read more

This restaurant is kind of hidden in a strip mall on Main Street. The owner, Nick, unfortunately is a one-man show. Staffing in Toledo is difficult. The interior was cozy, narrow and clean. Our draw to try this type of restaurant, a favorite of mine, is the mediterranean spices of Lebanese cooking. In addition, Nick has a history of really great cooking in prior endeavors (Aladdin's, Bite Me Twice, etc.). His specialty is cauliflower which was quite good. The hummus/pita was excellent and the shish tawook rolled pita a little bland but good. My group also tried the pita pizza (which I will order the next time) and falafels (crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle). This place is well worth a try. read more

Wonderful food and great service from what's typically a one-man show. But the menu prices don't reflect the correct pricing and we were not aware of that until we heard him tell another table. I realize that new menus would be expensive, but he could print out paper menus for cheap. That's what a lot of other restaurants are doing as their ingredient prices rise. If you're in the Toledo/Sylvania area and want the best Lebanese food I've tasted in a long time, definitely visit Ameera. The food, actually, is one thing (I'll get to that in a sec), but Nick, the owner, is such a wonderful, warm and welcoming host! He greeted my parents and I like he'd been WAITing for us to show up on a Monday evening and sat us right down to a meal I've been needing (as a transplant to Lebanese-food-deprived Washington state, home for a quick visit) for what seems like years! What we had: Tabbouleh, the cauliflower appetizer that had me thinking about licking the plate, and some perfect hummus... AND... my mom and I both had pita wraps, which we split and traded: Me the Arayiss and her the Kafta. SO delicious and filling. My dad had Nick's mom's specialty (which may not be available every night, but how cool, right? Mama's specialty!), which was a potato and rice and beef dish that dad loved and couldn't finish (yay for lunch tomorrow for all of us!) Dad and I both had the Lebanese red wine (Sorry... don't know the name and it hardly matters: It was delicious with the meal.) And we had the mint tea... a whole pot between us... which perfectly complemented the baklava and tiramisu for dessert (I know... it was a LOT!) We all left happy and full and glad to have been able to get out tonight. What a treat! I asked Nick if he'd ever thought of franchising in the Pacific Northwest, but I may have to wait... I always get the Honey Dijon Roll, which is a delicious conglomeration of grilled chicken, tomato, and dijon mustard in a pita wrap. By far my favorite item from any restaurant I visit!
