We have been going to Bombay Sitar long before covid-19, when there was a really great lunch buffet and it was very reasonably priced. Now we mostly get the carry out but the dining room is clean and usually has a calm, peaceful feeling. The owners and staff are very friendly and can explain the menu items in as much detail as you may need. I just got a carry out yesterday of Lamb Biryani and Garlic Naan - very tasty. Out of the hundreds of meals we have had, only 1 was disappointing - the flavors were bland for some reason but that was the only time. There aren't many Indian restaurants in the area. Bombay has been around for quite a while-- at least since I started college a decade ago. The food is pretty average. I have gotten the lunch buffet both times I've gone, so I have tried a ton of dishes. The best items were by far the donuts in rose water syrup and the corn nuggets. Normally my favorite dish is any saag dish, but theirs is just lacking. The mango milkshake was good, but very sweet. Wasn't much like a normal lassi. Overall, they are a clean restaurant with a huge selection. I would definitely go back if I was craving Indian food and wanted variety, but would probably try somewhere else if I was craving a specific dish. read more

The service is pretty slow and same for the waitresses... but at the end you get an amazing dish, just need a little bit of patience! Their vegetarian options is good and various. I've never tried Indian food before, but at the suggestion of a coworker, decided to try Bombay Sitar one day at lunch. They had many options to choose from, and I decided to go with the chicken tikka masala. Many pieces of tender, white meat chicken were mixed with green peppers in a delicious buttery cream sauce. It came with a big bowl of fluffy white rice, which was perfect to pour the masala over. I chose to have mild seasoning; hot and Indian hot are also available. The portion matched the price, and left me comfortably full the rest of the afternoon. I also ordered some "naan" (Indian bread) and "kheer" (rice pudding). The naan was perfect for dipping in the excess sauce from the masala, while the rice pudding added a subtly sweet ending to the meal. We have been very pleased with the food at the Bombay Sitar over the years. We have been there many times and have gotten carry out even before it was mandated by the Corona virus. We recently ordered carryout and picked it up. The food was good as usual and they had an excellent system of bringing the food to a table outside where we had a no contact pickup. Highly recommend! We travel a lot and everywhere we go, we seek Indian cuisine, and honestly, nothing has compared to Bombay. Ragu, Summer and the staff are all friendly and accommodating, the restaurant is beautiful and clean and there is plenty to choose from on the menu! We absolutely love the food. Pre-covid they had a buffet which was our favorite and we frequented it often; unfortunately it's been permanently removed. The service is excellent and attentive, even though I usually do the buffet for Lunch. I love the wide-selection of appetizers, entrees, sides and desserts they offer on their buffet. This wa s a nice quiet place fairly close to the airport. Looked like a elegant resturant with plenty of seating. Tonight seemed like a slow night and was sat quickly. Music played in the background and it fit the atmosphere. We had garlic naan as an appitizer. I ordered the mixed grill dinner. It consist of chicken, shrimp and some type of other meat. This place had excellent food, was clean, good waitressing(although took a long time but she was very busy I think she was the only waitress). Indian food redeemed in my eyes..and tummy! Yum! My friends decided to take me out for a birthday lunch..buffet. Normally, I cringe at any mention of buffets due to most places lack of quality and attention to the dishes they set out periodically. Everything here was delicious!! I even tried out goat for the first time! The food here completely overturns my previous assessments when introduced to the cuisine by my former Indian bosses. During those past times, I thought the spices, while very present, lacked oomph, felt boring, and overall tasted bland. Not here!! Each dish smells wonderful and caresses your tongue lovingly with unique flavors. I love eating non-fatty meats, but oh gosh, give me more of those chickpea dishes!! And mint and tamarind chutney! The vegetarian side was a tongue adventure in itself! Sure, I notice overall much heat may have been tampened down with a bit of sweetener -- like my mum does when she knows we can't handle the full definition of her Thai spicy. But this does not detract from the flavors to me. For dinner, go ahead and order all your spicy heat in. I think the lunch buffet is a great way to try everything out, and then all over again -- because of rotating or new dishes. I wish I would've gotten pictures of the trays just as they were set up -- especially, since we were the first party out of others that walked through their door a couple of minutes before they officially opened for lunch! I was so happily full and satisfied, I had to take a nap. And then wake up to craving their food again! I'm so thankful for my friends introducing me to this delicious treat. Pretty good stuff. Went here for carry-out. Had the chicken curry, yogurt/cucumber sauce, and of course and order of naan. I had ordered medium spicy. It came out pretty mild. I firmly believe all Indian restaurants in the US are reluctant to make anything too spicy for the white person. This is my favorite Canton restaurant and I've been though many changes with them - moving, a truck crashing into the front of their building, and the pandemic. Bless their hearts and resilience! Chicken Tikka- it looks like I was eating a gum(no proper taste, half cooked) and boiled onion( not all cooked properly) 2. Malai Kofta - there was no malai in kofta. I was getting raw onion and ginger smell. 3. Paneer Tikka Masala - surprisingly, Same gravy of Malai Kofta was Given with some different type of kofta (not even close to Malai kofta). 4. Kadai Chicken - in my life first time I ate tomato gravy chicken with no masala . It was not at all Kadhai chicken. Worst chicken curry I ever had. 5. Ras Malai - it was sweet water with white colour and pieces where not even close to what Ras malaai should be 6. Naan - Not properly cooked as well. Became non eatable in couple of hour. Rice and Samosa were OK. My worst experience restaurant in Ohio . I am not sure how you guys fool customers like this in party. My guests had to literally throw foods in dustbin. I'm a huge fan of Indian cuisine. This restaurant is perhaps as authentic as you get here in Ohio, aesthetic is not their main concern, but the Indian flavors! You can order a-la-carte at night, or come during their Buffet hours where you get a chance to try as-much-as-you-can/wish. I highly recommend this place, if you want to try variety of Indian food. You also get unlimited supplies of Rose/Mango lassi drink. You'll be full of course! Just beware, Indian cuisine is delicious, because it uses GHEE (or clarified butter), if you eat too much, you may have adverse effects such as sleepiness and feeling lethargic. Sometimes, driving to a far away restaurant for food sounds like a bad idea until you have actually eaten the food there. This place is about 60 miles from my home so me and a bunch of friends thought of trying it out on a Saturday. This is by far the biggest and the most beautiful Indian restaurant I've been to. They have pretty chandeliers everywhere. There is a plenty of seating option including an open patio that can accommodate about 15 people I think. The servers are amazing and always make sure your dining experience is good. Boy, did we stuff ourselves with food? O yeah.. For starters, I had samosa, aloo tikki , choley, chili fritters, vegetable pakora, namkeen and gobhi Manchurian. I went for a 2nd round of a bunch of those items as they were very good. They also had tandoori chicken for the non vegetarians. For main course, I had shahi paneer, matar mushroom, daal tadka, mixed vegetable curry and chana saag. Along with that, I had rice, vegetable biryani and naan. I also tried their pani puri, dahi vada and a small bite of dosa which was okiesh. The rest of the stuff I ate was really good. For dessert, I had gulab jamun as usual. Usually, vegetarians see themselves running short of options when it comes to buffet but this place has a really elaborate number of items on offer. We just visited this new location and were impressed with the spacious stand alone building and ample parking space available. The food is just as delicious and the service was just as efficient and pleasant. We ordered an appetizer of vegetable pakora which was served very quickly. The pieces were hot off the fryer, crispy on the outside and very tasty overall. Our entrees, fish vindaloo and goat masala, came to our table next with a large dish of basmati rice. (Hint : pick out the cloves so that you don't bite into them) The dishes were spiced correctly, and tasted fresh. The fish vindaloo consisted of large cubes of salmon and a few potatoes in a delicious vindaloo sauce. The salmon was perfectly cooked, not overdone or mushy. The goat (bone-in) masala came in a thick sauce which is less tart but just as deep in flavor. Both entrees were thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommended! For dessert, I ordered their mango yogurt item. If you enjoy the taste of mango, you'll love this. It's not overly sweet but creamy with an intense mango flavor. It was the perfect way to finish off a wonderful dinner. Next, we're going back to try their lunch buffet.
