Had an amazing experience at this place. They went above and beyond like a family would. We called ahead to check if they'd seat us (7 people coming in 15 mins before close). We had low expectations because most Indian restaurants would either say no or give us limited menu. They had us order ahead and had everything ready, waited 30 extra mins for us to finish eating after their closing time and gave us the best experience! We loved their setup- the way the food came, their decor and their music. The food was soooo delicious!! We tried their pani puri (delicious but their pani could've been a bit more diluted. It tasted saltier than I like), masala papad was ok (glad we tried it but maybe wouldn't order again), laziz gosht biryani (I didn't try it but family did and said it was good), chicken Kati roll (family said was good), chicken 65 was SOOOO good (probably one of our favs), murgh makhan waala was the STAR DISH, munchurian noodles were alright. We order onion kulcha and garlic naan and they were both really good but common- it's naan lol. Their masala soda is a must try!! Also had their baraf ka gola (TOO GOOD) and their mango mastani dessert which the family loved so much that they downed it even after being so full. Overall such a great experience. We constantly had people checking in on us (even though it was after hours) to make we were ok and didn't need anything else and were so polite to bring anything we did ask for. It was late-night dinner. I ordered Dahi Puri, chole bhature, Bombay sandwich, and faluda. Service: quick and good. The staff is always ready to help. They forgot about water, napkins, and other basic stuff. Cleanliness: restrooms were not that clean. Need some work. The main area was clean and open. Food: very tasty, good, fresh. Seating: 7-9 tables. Proper lighting, open. Location: next to the main street, limited parking, can be hard to find. Overall you can give it a try. read more

Really good food! The Poona misal is to die for. Closest to what I have had in India. The ragda pattice and garden grill sandwich are really good too. The ambience is great too, the seating arrangements is good enough for groups to have their own little nooks. And of course the paan in the end was delicious! Would highly recommend. We drive through Edison at least once a month and make it a point to try a new desi spot every time. Today, I think we finally found THE spot. I ordered three dishes: Paneer Aangara, Paneer Burji with regular naan, and Chilli Paneer Noodle. The Paneer Aangara is one of the restaurant's special dishes because it's in the form of a sizzler (served on a hot stone that essentially grills the paneer, onions, and bell peppers). The paneer was marinated in a delicious, tangy sauce that amplified the dishes taste. The Paneer Burji, which is scrambled Indian cottage cheese with onion, tomatoes, and spices, was one of the best I've had in the Central Jersey area. The dish was not too oily and the aroma of the ginger-garlic along with other spices was heavenly. The naan is made-to-order in the tandoor. The naan was airy, light, and had a satisfying char texture. My favorite dish was the Chilli Paneer Noodle, which is an Indian cottage cheese mixed in with noodles and other Chinese sauces. I have never seen this dish at other restaurants and I was completely amused. The noodles were perfectly boiled, seasoned, and mouthwatering after every bite. The chunks of paneer accompanied the noodles very well and this may be the reason why I come to this restaurant over and over. Great ambiance and good service. The food is distinctly Indian. We worked with Dhruv @ Bombay Spice II and hosted Wedding Mehndi event for 50 people on 7th July 2022. The Kathi rolls, Veg Manchurian were simply delicious. The service from entire staff from putting up our decorations to arranging the tables, ensuring Mehndi artist had her table and chairs setup the way she needs, they all went out of their way to make our event special. They even helped with some sweets and drinks we bought for serving it to guests and helped us setup our Karaoke system. We also had food catered at home for event for 40 people, the Guajarati lunch for one day and brunch (Bombay special sandwich was a hit) for 2 days, were all awesome. Simply awful! My husband and I were desperate for a cup of tea and a snack so we went there to grab some Chai and samosa. They said everything was made to order so it will take 20 minutes. We placed an order and ran a quick errand rushing back to grab our much awaited treat. We both have been suffering since we consumed just one samosa each. Honestly, had we not been so greedy we would have walked away upon looking at the outpost itself. It was pretty ramshackle. But the worst is the pain, gripe and bloating that we have been suffering for the last 24 hours after consuming a tasteless Samosa that had only mashed up potatoes and peas with salt and turmeric. This place should not pass off as authentic Indian by any measure. I garbaged the other two samosas as soon as we reached home. read more

My family has been using Bombay Spice II for catering for nearly a decade. We've done parties both small and large (150 people), as well as even had them pack lunch boxes for a bus trip to Atlantic City. They are easy to work with and we've never had any issues with delivery or mistakes. They are always on time. The food always tastes fresh and gets lots of compliments. They have nailed their spice and flavor levels without being overly spicy (unless of course you request it to be). This is important when trying to appeal to a broad group of people with varying spice tolerance. We've had their staff come to a few of the events and make Kati rolls and other items on premises and everyone has been impressed. The prices are very reasonable and there is always a TON of leftovers. My family also regularly gets regular take out from there. We especially enjoy their Pav Bhaji. Its one of our favorite places to get it. They also have great kati rolls and the prices are very reasonable. We always stop by if we are in the area to pick up food for later that day. We noticed they are expanding/renovating, and are excited to see what they do with the restaurant. Up until now, it wasnt exactly a great place to dine in (their focus clearly is catering and thus sometimes they are organizing catering orders on the tables in the dining room), so hopefully they can improve the ambiance. read more

Saw reviews was good, so went to try it, order 2 dish, chicken masala and goat, 19 dollars each, chicken is very salty, dry and over cook, goat don't have much taste, both dishes not even a little spicy, no other sauce is available that can add on, they come with a tiny little bowl of rice, so I order extra rice, come in a little bigger bowl and they charge 7.99 ( plain Rice) . Order lassi is room temperature, have you ever drink a warm yogurt? Extra extra sugar $6.99...We spend almost 80 dollars plus tips for lunch, so who ever said is one $ consider is a cheap price, it is not worth 70 dollars of food, ask them for water is also warm and is from faucet, because you can taste it. Overall 1 star and don't waste your money, I was stupid enough to try base on the review, service? 1 star, water never refill and the waiter have to find someone to come recommend food.
