I have used their service thrice and it's been a bad experience every time. They have pretty strict process for shipping from India to US, and ask for all sorts of ID proofs, etc., which is understandable considering it's going to be International shipment. But, I think they have a quality check after pickup where they open the package and check everything again, and shoddily pack everything back. All the packages which I received were in pretty bad shape inside with food falling all over the box. After our first experience, we sealed the jars with duct tape to avoid spillage. It looks like they opened the jars and did not even close it tightly. It has just been a bitter experience considering the price we pay. read more

Well, I used Bombino Express located in Edison/Iselin NJ and they were outstanding. I had to get a parcel shipped from Italy to India. Not only they gave me a superb pricing but were very easy to work with. Their India counterpart was equally efficient. All you need is to folllow up diligently with them via email and call both and be rest assured, your work will be done. P.S. I had to call them 2 times to actually take payment from me. THey have delivered my package and still not charged me. WHat else can 1 say when it comes to their trust in their customers !? I think they are any day better than UPS/USPS/Fedex for any international courrier service especially to India Ask for Aspi or Yaquub or Manju in NJ offices. Well, they beat the price of fedex, ups or dhl hands down and savings are like 70-80%. The great thing is you , if you live in a state, where they have no physical presence, you can courier it to them with a package inside a package(having the original overseas recepient) and they call you once they get it and you can pay your invoice on their website. Their staff, Sulbah was so pleasant and prompt in calling me as soon as they got the package. Once you pay, the package is sent to the final destination. read more

I have sent packages to my aunt at least 5 times and she has received each packet within a week's time. This is excellent compared with post office which can be a month travel time. The staff in NYC office are polite and helpful. I only gave 3 stars as they arent always punctual in the morning and you end up standing at their door till they show up for work. Worst courier I have ever experience. They robbed from the box and also took money in the name of customs from the recipient for just t shirts.. I sent fee of my old size t shirts and some new aber chrombie t shirts to my niece in India for her birthday. It was worth only 40$ and the courier in jersey city asked me to put $100 value for insurance purposes. The courier reached Bombay and contacted my niece in college to pay 4750 rupees to collect the item. After talking to the courier team who were very nasty in talking reduced 500 rupee. My piece paid RS. 3500 and then she rec'd the package. After opening the package realised that all new t shirts and couple of pls expensive tops are missing. Please do not send thru them. read more

One of the packages was almost destroyed. It looked like someone had drove over the package, went over it in reverse, and then decided to drive over it again.. repeatedly. The package that looked like it was ran over buttloads of times reeked like mold (which the smell transferred onto the jersey). I am a frequent shipper, and I use a variety of services including FedEx, DTDC Exp, DHL and even the local post office. I have found my experience to be most pleasant with DTDC mainly because they are cost effective and reliable. I will use Fed Ex if I want fast service but their shipping charges are just ridiculous! VERY BAD...We had a package coming from mumbai to states. My parents had packaged it before they shipped. Bombino re-packaged it somewhere along the way and their choice of packing material was plastic grocery bags, newspapers and other sorts of plastic bags (I don't know what they did with all the packing material my parents used.) After contacting them a couple of times they said that they cannot do anything about it and to contact the courier company in Mumbai. Now my parents have to drag it back there with them on their way back. Such a disappointing and extremely inconvenient experience. My advise go to another company they might charge a little more but you might just get your item in one piece. read more

They provide a good service getting our shipments into and out of India. They are cost effective compared to most of the major shippers (UPS, TNT, FedEx, Etc). They know how to clear customs quickly and efficiently. They lost 1 star since their tracking system is less than adequate. They are extremely horrible. I used them for ten years and Mohin at jfk was fabulous. All of a sudden this other guy Sahil came into the picture and had no clue how to handle sending a package. My package has been stuck in customs and after 50 calls still nothing. KYC was sent and all but they do not follow up at all. If you call India Denver never responds back to emails or follows up to ease a customer. To make it worse the state they have 24/7 support yet the phone are off. Also the India toll free number is a sex talk line. This says a lot about the operations of this company. This is the worst courier service ever. I sent a package from New Jersey to HP, India on the 2nd March 2012, and it has still not reached it's destination (as of 03/21/2012). I was assured that my parcel would reach it's destination on the 12th of March, latest. There is no information on their "tracking website", if you can call it that. All the information I get is "Shipment left Mumbai" on March 9th. NOTHING after that. It's not even cheap. They charged me almost $50 for a package that was less than 0.5 lbs. Since I was in a hurry, I shelled out that money. Their customer service also sucks. I called them thrice. Twice, I was assured that they would get back to me within 24 hours. Both times, no one returned my call. I left messages on their "Contact Us" page, nothing there either. Third time, there was an extremely rude person at the other end of the line who simply hung up on me. Even USPS would have been more reliable and cheaper. I doubt they even have a courier service. I would not be surprised if this is just a front to swindle money from unsuspecting patrons. I would have given it 0 starts if possible. I am definitely not going to use them EVER again. AVOID this service!!! You might not save money but you will definitely save headaches. Couple of areas to speak about their service: 1. Package AWB number was not communicated for at least 5-6 days after package was handed over at their Mumbai office. 2. An Express charge was applied but the package was delivered through regular route. Package should have reached USA within 3-4 days but it reached after 11 days. 3. CEO of the company lies about the whereabouts of the package, so do their employees. They cannot tell where the package is at that time when they have the system in front of them. Excuses include faults with Mumbai Customs, to weather, to technical fault with flights. Its never their fault as per the CEO. 4. Customer Service email, CEO email and any of the employee emails you send questions to do not get responded. 5. Package weight changes between when you hand it over in Mumbai to when you receive it just so they can charge more money upfront. 6. Package was damaged in transit but the CEO has no explanation or solution. 7. Never offered any refunds for delay in service, nor responded to emails asking for refund. read more

Either the number was unavailable or they never picked up. When finally contacting an actual person he asked to provide details of what was in the package and whether we can text that information then goes on to say he can not find the package. Then domestic parcel it took 5 days to reach Bombay to Indore. Luckily none of my items were missing nor packet was reopened. STAY AWAY!!!! They may be the cheapest compared to everyone else out there - but trust me, you will realize how bad they are only when you land up dealing with a problem with them. We had a package coming from Mumbai to the States. Unfortunately, it was damaged and when contacted the Mumbai office they said that Fedex damaged it. They said they filed a claim with Fedex and when I called Fedex directly after a few days to get an update - I learnt that a claim was never filed!!! All this while - Bombino never bothered to even call me or send me an email with updates. They are extremely unproffesional, no kind of customer satisfaction and very rude. I called the NY office hoping I would get a better response - but didn't help. Everytime I called them - I heard a different story. Very frustrating and a total waste of time.
