    Failed Attempt to repair

Veteran Movers NYC reached out to me with a resolution to pay for the original cost of the table. I very much appreciate the response after my review. I wish all of this could have been dealt with in a more timely manner but I suppose these things happen.

My niece needed a mover to help her moved out of her home to her first big girl apartment in the city, she called around and gotten quotes from different places and asked for my opinion before selecting a mover, without naming other places some vendors didn't took her too seriously and some even tried to hustle her into things that she probably don't need (trying to get her to pay for carpenter service to take the legs off the kitchen table, what?) I saw the quotes she have received and did what most nosy aunt would have done, I called veteran movers and spoke Jose who was assisting my niece with her move, he was pleasant and very patient with all my questions, since my niece didn't have a corporate budget and other than her building requiring licensed and insured movers her move is fairly simple, this is in my opinion as good as it is going to get in NYC. On the move day I gave a ride to my niece to her new apartment and met the gentlemen who helped her move, everything was as promised and our movers were friendly and respectful the entire time (I normally don't like be called Ma'am but the way they said it was different and you can tell it is out of respect and not annoyance) The movers were fast but careful and worked like clockwork, I have moved numerous times in the past myself so while not an expert in moving they certainly earned their business.

Third review for me, only this time they moved my mom. There's a reason these guys have such great ratings! I called pretty last minute, about a week before my mom needed to move. Our circumstances were pretty unique but I knew I could trust this team. My mom is 69 years old and pretty timid so uprooting her from her home of 13yrs was pretty tough but these guys were not only careful with her belongings but also very sensitive with her feelings during this stressful time. It was a two day move because the team was short handed but they made sure to take care of us. Words cannot express how grateful I am to everyone at veteran movers for being there for us through this difficult time. I will continue shout their praises and really do highly recommend them to anyone needing a quality move from tough outstanding gentleman.

One word: Professional. The team at Veteran Movers was just great, from the first guy I talked to and set up the move, to the team who showed up at my door on time. We had a lot of boxes and lots of stuff. These guys weren't fazed. They were also friendly, which was helpful as I felt so stressed. They even tried to follow my sticker system of what boxes go in which room. Above and beyond! The best part... I got to employ guys who have served in the military and support a veteran owned business. Yes! I got lots of quotes and while theirs wasn't the lowest, it was the right price for the job. It was also clear that the owner knew what he was doing in terms of pricing out the job, how many men to have, and the size of truck. All the way around this was a great experience and took (some of) the pain out of moving. I highly recommend Veteran Movers, and I'm grateful they made moving kind of fun. :)

They are professional, efficient, mostly careful with belongings, and consistently helpful. If I could hire the movers themselves, I would; they are the strongest part of this company. Unfortunately, the claims/ and most customer service experience is the complete opposite, and it has reached a point where I would hesitate to use Clutter again. My original (close-out) appointment was cancelled because Clutter attempted a second authorization on my card without notifying me despite the fact that all fees had already been paid. I keep my cards locked due to past fraud, so the lack of communication directly caused the cancellation. When I contacted the claims department, the responses I received were unprofessional, templated, and dismissive. Instead of acknowledging this, the representative by the name of Dayane responded with, "I'm sorry that you felt the need to..." - a phrase that is inappropriate, unprofessional, and shifts blame onto the customer rather than addressing the company's actions. To make matters worse, when the issue was escalated, the next representative, used the phrase "from your perspective." As someone who has worked in customer service for most of my career, I know the difference between neutral language and dismissive, liability‑shielding language. Phrases like "your perspective" or "you felt the need to" are not neutral - they minimize the actual issue and place the burden back on the customer. This is not how I was trained to speak to customers, even in difficult situations, and it's concerning to see it used repeatedly as part of their standard script. To be fair, Karoll did offer to schedule a call, and I appreciated the willingness to follow up. But the fact that it took escalation to receive a basic level of professionalism only highlights the inconsistency and lack of training within the claims/customer service team. Clutter has a great concept and outstanding movers, but the claims/customer service department needs serious improvement. Until that happens, the customer service experience - not the movers - is the reason I would think twice before using Clutter again. BTW - A clothing rack and several of my bins were returned broken

A about 3 foot x 2 foot x 1 foot (approx) ceramic and metal sculpture was included in the move as they had appropriately and successfully moved the piece before with NY. As appropriate, the contract included foam encasement of the rather delicate sculpture that only has a few attachment sites to the metal frame (a bike) and multiple ceramic figures with arms, legs, hands, and a sun for a head. Moises packers used about 6-10 loosely folded pieces of paper (newsprint sized - daily NY post not NY times sized paper) around the sculpture, and another 2 ish pieces sort of crumpled around the top (see photo of just opened box w top and top packaging visible.) deliverers took same photo, I assume, since they snapped shots at the same time. In addition, the "box" was folded around the top of the sculpture, which (originally) had sun rays poking through DURING SHIPMENT. As is visible in a photo, some of the sun rays broke off (big surprise), and the rest suffered obvious damage and chipping. Of the 3 ceramic pieces originally attached to the bike frame, two broke off completely and suffered major damage. All figures lost some body parts, most lost fingers and parts of / damage to feet. Notice severe breakage in photo of the broken off figures in photo. Other items also came out damaged, just less valuable and more like cracks, stress fractures, and broken shelving / separators in , for example, a large lucite unit (2ftx3ishftx4ft). Also packing was clearly more intended to create chargeable packing volume than protection. Dishes that were already in smaller manageable boxes were repacked into a huge (now super heavy) box putting the dishes together (still have to check breakage at bottom of huge triple box) with about a foot of mostly open space at top (chargeable space!!!) and a few barely folded (literally 2 or 3) pieces of newsprint on top to "protect" against vertical movement during transport. And an echo dot was the ONLY item contained in a regular 1ft x 1ft x 2ft box - with a little folded paper again for company. And boxes going to 3 locations were supposed to be dropped off at ups, where ups repackaged (at our cost) and shipped (at our cost. Because from ups they went to 3 separate locations, but all went together from starting point to ups, we were charged $500 base charge for each final location - even though moishe's only took a single trip to ups to drop off the about 8 pre-marked for location boxes. DO NOT TRUST MOISHE's - AND THEY WONT EVEN REVERSE SHIPPING CHARGES AFTER ALL THE DAMAGE, INAPPROPRIATE PACKING TO OVERCHARGE SPACE, OVER CHARGE TO UPS... THEY ARE NEITHER RELIABLE NOR RESPONSIVE TO CONCERNS.
