I received an order confirmation email from Ace. I called the store today to see if I could pick up the trimmer tomorrow and was told that their computer said not to fulfill the order. The rep suggested that I place the order again. I tried repeatedly to log in to Ace's website and even tried to order the trimmer as a guest, but the website was dysfunctional. So I found a similar trimmer at Lowes for $153 and ordered it there. I figured it was worth $13 to me to buy a trimmer without all the hassle I had to go through with Ace.

I provided proof of employment and proof that I'm the manager, yet they still refused, demanding a letter. On top of that, they questioned what I was going to use the key for, as if I were a criminal. Frustrated, I went to a proper locksmith--no authorization required, no unnecessary questioning, and the key was made without hassle. Won't be returning here.

Although a small store, Erik was able to order in anything I needed and have it in a couple days. Their blade sharpening service was also drastically faster than anywhere else from Fort Collins to Greeley - with a 2 day turn around compared to 2 weeks elsewhere. I tried to take them back and they refused a refund even though they had taken back my corn three times past the return time. Now I'm out $250 and am buying pellets at another retailer. A little piece of advice, if you buy those products at Tractor Supply, make sure you check each bag before the 30-day return time. Oh, and I will never shop at the Fort Collins Tractor Supply again!

We have never been to a better store than this particular location. Every time we purchased paint and a load of other items, we got great help from all of the employees we encountered. We were referred to Francisco Mendoza, a contractor affiliated with Home Depot to install our butcher block counter top and we hired him additionally to replace the windows as well. This gentleman was incredibly honest and his crew were very hardworking and accurate. They did an unbelievable job for us-even replacing an installed window that was defective after installed. I get my items and proceed to check out. After I pay for my items, I look at my receipt - I am charged a "Front Range Special PIF" fee of $2.43. I ask what is a Special PIF fee, which the cashier tells me - it is part of the HOA for the shopping center. I asked where is it posted, it is not on the door of the store, it is not posted at the cash register, so you charge people without disclosing this PIF fee, which he replied yes we do? How can a company charge someone without disclosing a fee prior? Wouldn't this be credit card fraud - to bill someone even a trivial amount without first notifying them. On top of it, they do not even discuss the fee amount - it appears to be a percentage of the sale, but what percentage? That is not even disclosed. I ask for the store manager, he refuse to come speak to me, they sent the register supervisor, then an assistant manager - but the store manager was to busy to come down. I feel this is total fraud - to charge someone any amount without their knowledge. To do it underhand, in a way most people would not even see it. A line across the top of the receipt that does not even line up with ones purchases. Wonder how many THOUSANDS of dollars a year they are getting away with?

I bought some hardware for a project and had one 3 dollar item to return. Since it had been 31 days since I bought it and was one day late they would not allow me to return it. Another time I came in for some weedkiller and wanted to purchase it for the advertised price on the Tru Value Web site and he would not honor that advertised price. Well in my book it's 3 strikes and you are out. I will never ever purchase anything here again unless they have the only one out there. The other hardware stores in Estes Park have never pulled theis kind of stuff on me. They honor advertised prices.  These people see the consumers here as tourists. They don't care what you think because you will be gone in a few days.  The tourists make this great town what it is and it is sad that this guy doesn't know who signs his paycheck during the off season months
