This company nearly ruined our wedding day. I ordered my groomsman suits well before the recommend time to do so. I was informed 2 days before the wedding that one of the suits was ordered improperly and was unable to be altered. They offered little assistance or apology. After much back and forth, we were able to get the right suit mere hours before the wedding and only with the assistance of my brother in laws who had to drive over an hour to pick it up. They initially offered a discount on the incorrect suit but never made good on that promise. Tux was ill-fitting, so much so that it's difficult to imagine it being the same one my son was measured in which fit pretty well off the rack. Coat was not the same shade as the trousers. Trousers had visible hem lines, with the thread from the last hem being a different shade from the trousers. read more

I am not sure how they stay in business. We paid to keep the children's suits but they "forgot" to order them. They didn't call to let us know until we showed up the night before the event. They were forced to use rentals without even an apology. After I returned the used rentals the grouchy manager called to inform me I owe an additional $65 for some rip she just found after we left. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want a wedding filled with STRESS. We ordered the suits in advance as requested by the place and the grooms suit was not ready until the afternoon before the wedding making us LATE to our own rehearsal dinner. ONE SUIT WAS NOT READY UNTIL THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING. The wedding was an hour away and we had to pay someone to go get it for us. They said they wouldn't charge us for this last suit as it wasn't ready but they charged us anyways. Even the morning of the wedding they couldn't even give us a time to get the suit we had to call a million times and were very close to not having a suit for a groomsmen. Multiple groomsmen had issues with the sizing but couldn't even go get them fixed as they were all so late being ready to begin with. One groomsman even had to turn a certain way so the messed up sleeve wouldn't be in the pictures. Staff was rude and inconsiderate. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Would give zero stars if I could. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing rentals for my wedding. Mind you, I'm getting married in 48 hours. I ordered 8 suits - 5 groomsmen and 2 fathers. Every. Single. Suit. Has. A. Problem. They sent me a ripped tie, my grooms shoes were detached from the sole, scuffed shoes, wrong sizes, sent black dress shoes when I ordered brown, buttons falling off the vest and so much more. It's an absolute disaster. I've never been more disgusted in a company, than I am with this one. I hope this review saves anyone from ever ordering from here. Well... NO JUST NO!!!! My boyfriend is only one of the groomsman in a wedding with 5 that all had problems. WHAT A JOKE! 5/5 groomsman had issues. Here is our story. Traveled from Ohio to MA for a wedding in the cape, took us 12 hours with a few stops. I had my boyfriend call in advance to say we were picking ours up two days before the wedding as we drove through. The day before they noticed they didn't have a shoe size for him. How? He put them down online when he placed his order. We told the shoe size, and on the day we arrived we went to pick up his suit and guess what.... HIS SHOES WERE NOT THERE! We are told they are waiting for the truck... we called and told them half hour before we were on our way! At this point I am so tired and crabby all I want to do is lay down and eat. My boyfriend tries on he pants and they are too long. The size waist and size length somehow got transposed. The lady just wouldn't take any blame literally blamed the entire situation on either Sean my boyfriend or the place he was fitted back home. She put the shirt and vest on him. Keep in mind he is a 3x and never any smaller in clothes. Sean will sometimes order higher for length as he is 6'2". The shirt and vest was so tight.... it was a 2x. Again wouldn't take any fault. I said I know for a fact he wouldn't order a 2x. We ended up having to drive to another store to get stuff the store we went to first wasn't carrying. When we arrived to the next spot the lady acted as if she had no idea what we were talking about. COMMUNICATION?????? The manager wanted praise that they fixed the problems... NO! Especially when the other groomsman have horror stories and they are all from MA! This place is crap, what a joke. $190 for nothing. Adequate at best. I met a representative at a bridal expo, and was told that if we had for additional orders, my husband's tuxedo rental would be free. It wasn't. Apparently, if you don't order all for at the same time it changes things. Wish I had known. Also, when our groomsmen went to pick up their tuxedos, one had a shirt that didn't fit, one had cuffs that didn't fit. My father had the wrong vest and half of the group received the wrong size shoes. Not to mention, they cancelled my father in laws appointment because they got it in their head that my father and father in law were the same order. I realize irs prom season, but come on. The only saving grace was that my father in law needed special accommodation to be fitted off-site, and they did it. That was nice. read more

Where do I start? NEVER AGAIN! Worst experience trying to order tuxes for my wedding. STAY AWAY!! They don't even deserve the 1 star rating! We visited the Worcester location in January to look for tuxes for our wedding in July. We thought, pick out a tux, match the color of our dresses with a tie, then get measured and pick the tuxes up before the wedding. Sounds easy right? It was easier planning the entire wedding and honeymoon that ordering a tux!! We left all the names of our groomsmen, fathers, step-father and ring bearer our first time in. We also left a swatch with our salesman who said he would have his color specialist match the swatch with a tie. The colors of the dresses are a misty blue. We were told we would receive a phone call within the next few days regarding the color match. I never received a call. I called a few weeks to inquire about whether they had found a matching color. At first the woman on the phone could not find our paperwork, when she did it did not have anything with it. She told me she would look into it and call me back. She did call back shortly stating they had matched a color and we could stop by to finalize it. We were busy at the time, two weeks later when my wife, my best man and I could get down there to look at the color and try it on, they did not know where the swatch was, nor did they have a color matched. Luckily we had a separate swatch with us, and we had to match the colors ourselves. At that time, my best man and I were looking to try on the shirts, ties, vests and jackets. When we requested, the manager, woman with dark black hair, who we were dealing with showed signs of annoyance she had to help us. She told us she could not fit both of us and that we needed an appointment and couldn't help us because she had other guests walk in after us looking for prom tuxes. She was very rude and not accommodating so we decided to leave to go somewhere else. When we were leaving she tried changing her attitude and asked us to stay she would fit us. That should have been the first hint to NEVER GO BACK. We went to Mr.Tux, unfortunately they did not have a selection of colors that even came close to the color of the dresses. So we decided to go to the Bonardi's in Auburn so we would not have to deal with that "manager" you have in Worcester. Unfortunate for us, there are primarily only two tux rental companies in Worcester. We eventually had to go back to the Worcester location so I could try on the two separate tuxes for myself and what the groomsmen were wearing. Everything went fine. As time was getting closer my Father-in-law went to the Worcester location to get fitted. They could not find our paperwork again, then the salesperson who was fitting him started to fit him for a grey tux. Thankfully my soon to be Mother-in-law called my wife and asked if he was getting a grey tux, and she got it straightened out. When I called approximately three weeks to the wedding to give the measurements for the ring bearer I spoke with Lori who now told me they cannot rent tuxes for his size. From the beginning we told our sales man that he was supposed to match the groom's tux and nobody said you couldn't order his size. We told the sales rep how old he was back in January and he wrote it down. Thankfully Lori asked and was able to order the same style tux as myself for my cousin to buy, we would just have to get a black shirt, ivory vest and ivory tie. The black shirt was extremely large and did not fit. So instead of Bonardi's ordering a shirt and shoes to fit the ring bearer, my cousin had to find a shirt and shoes for his tux on her own. Why couldn't they do that? Glad we did their job. Now it is time to pick up our tuxes. My wife went to the Worcester location to pick up her Father's tux. She was also checking to make sure everyone else's tuxes were ready and all set to be picked up. She found out they had our groomsmen with red ties!?!? Also that they did not know where my tux was, the GROOM! How do you misplace the groom's tux? It was sent to the Milford location to be picked up as requested. But I also requested to have my step-father's tux shipped to Milford with mine. Which was not done, it was still in Worcester. Thankfully she was there to pick it up for me. These may be some petty problems to you, but how hard is it to figure out the code for the proper tux style, color for vest and ties, sizes for parties involved and order the tuxes? Doesn't seem to hard now does it.? But apparently it was for them. This experience was nothing but a head ache. Planning the entire wedding and honeymoon were easier than renting 7 tuxes!! No exaggeration. I will NEVER recommend Bonardi's to anyone, nor will I ever rent from you. Since then, I have told numerous friends and family about what a horrible experience it was to rent our tuxes. read more

Let start by saying I'm so pissed at this place. I actually downloaded this apt just to stop some poor sap from using this god awful place. I'm the Groom and had a great wedding at Pleasant Valley Country Club. Well it didn't start that way. First: Myself and two sons went on to get fitted for tuxedos. I noticed A pregnant girl with a awful scowl. I tried cheering her up. I was saying how bad my fist wedding was and that I was so uncomfortable in my tux. "SHE SAYS: IT WASN'T THE TUX' S FAULT FOR YOU LOOKING BAD AND FEELING UNCOMFORTABLE". NOW Yes I'm a bigger guy but hell no one deserves this so me and my family left. My fiancee now Wife said let's try the Auburn Bonardi's I was hesitant but said as long as they are polite. We get there and this nice girl helped us and said we could deal directly with them and bypass the Worcester Store. Now this was 3 weeks before the wedding. So we called everyday is it ready? Is it ready? Nope! Nope! the day before our wedding i called them they say oh it will be here by like 1:00 pm. So I went and the tie was wrong. The Jacket was the wrong Size, and style. The pants were so big the crouch was down to my knees. And the vest was so tight I couldn't button the bottom button. We were freaking out so they tell me. I have to go to the Worcester Store. So we Go with great hesitation. We find that pregnant chick and she's like what the problem. My wife says didn't Auburn call you. She says nope. So before my wife knocked her out the owner a real bitch came out from the depths of the back room. She was so nasty that I thought she was gonna stick us with no business attitudes and I'm like helm no "my wedding is 23 hours away. So she finally fit me into a small tux. I couldn't button the bottom two buttons of the vest and she said that's normal. Please I'm not a idiot. I know the Jacket sometimes stays unbutton on the bottom. For sitting but you can't tell this chick anything. Then I look and the fat or possibly pregnant chick is just sitting looking at us like she's all that. Now I'm not the only one in my party that had issues with their tux. My dad had a bow tie but was suppose to have a long time. Then gave the wrong color tie. Then my son's jacket was way to big. Staff is extremely rude here, especially Dana. I'll tell my story: I went to a wedding in May 2015 and got the suit from Bonardis. Not a terrible experience then, the only problem was they never called when my suit was ready. Groom had to call me in a panic because Bonardis only called him and no one else in the party. Fast forward two weeks after that wedding, I need to get another suit for a new wedding. I call and speak to Gina - she tells me to bring in the suit from wedding #1 and they will use the measurements and alterations to order new suit for wedding #2. She says it will save me a trip where I don't need to come back for the tailoring. PLUS she says while they hold onto my first suit, they will dry clean it free of charge. Great! A week later I come into Bonardis with my old suit and tell the Dana what Gina told me. Dana said they couldn't use the old suit for alterations, only initial measurements. It makes sense but annoyed I was told differently. And no free dry cleaning as promised. When I explained my frustration, she was very rude and finally threw in the free dry cleaning but not without making me feel small ("dry cleanings are never free. We never do this") I was simply following orders from an employee, and they took it out on me. Now I'm taking it out on Yelp. Cheers read more

I was informed on the morning of my nephew's afternoon wedding that the affair would be black-tie. Searching for an emergency rental tux, I phoned several formal wear stores and their reaction was typically disbelief or laughter. I was about to give up before I phoned Bonardi's. Lori informed me that I could drive to their Worcester location and get fitted within 20 minutes. True to her word, I had the whole tuxedo, including cufflinks in 20 minutes. Lori treated me in a respectful and efficient manner. The tux fit perfectly and looked great. I received a number of compliments. We had a really great experience working with Bonardi's. For our wedding in June 2012, our party/family rented 5 tuxes (groom, 2 groomsmen, 2 dads) and one suit. Not all tux rental places also rent suits, so this was a plus. They also have all the clothes there, so if something doesn't fit, they can swap it for a matching item in a different size on the spot. This is another plus. They are located in downtown Worcester, but have plenty of on street parking (an adjacent side street) as well as their own small parking lot. Lori in the Worcester store helped us, and she was phenomenal. She was knowledgeable about all the outfit options (tux material, type of shirt collar, etc) and was very helpful as my fiance selected different color vests for the dads vs the groomsmen vs the groom (this hadn't occurred to us till we talked to Lori). She was also efficient and incredibly pleasant. I saw her 3 times, when my fiance and my dad each got measured and also when my fiance picked up his tux. She remembered us from our first meeting months earlier. Bonardi's is also very concerned with a good fit for their rentals. Upon pick-up, the guys all tried on their outfits to make sure they fit well/were comfortable (they didn't just get handed a garment bag and get sent on their way). Also, the guy renting the suit had fluctuating weight throughout the course of a day due to a health issue, and Lori said if he was at the upper range of the size pant he'd measured for, she would let him take two different size pants to ensure he would be comfortable all day. This turned out not to be necessary, but was an incredibly thoughtful offer. The guys all looked fabulous, and the service we received from Lori and her colleagues was superb each time. Gave me a tuxedo rental for a formal event with the pant leg ripped down the inseam and around the crotch. Didn't refund anything for that rental. Made the mistake of returning to them for yet another formal event and they charged $75 extra on top of the $200 simply to clean a jacket. Overall unprofessional and poor service. Sad. read more

Between 6 groomsmen, Bonardi's got 1 tux right on the first try. It wasn't a simple "this shirt is a bit tight", many of the items were simply provided in a completely different size than the one requested. Aside from the mis-sized items, tux jackets had stains as if they hadn't been cleaned, buttons were missing, hardly anything was pressed. Really sloppy work. After several visits back, they had to overnight items to try and get things before the wedding, and guess what? They overnighted them to the WRONG store. They're business model is being really nice at wedding expo's, and then utterly failing the day of. They don't seem care about repeat business, because they already have your money come the day of the event. What are you going to do? go buy a tux off the rack? Maybe they undercut some other formal wear companies by a few dollars, but it's not worth the hassle of freaking out a bride and groom the day of a wedding because Bonardi's can't provide a clean tux on time. read more

None of the groomsmen had any issues wih the measurements or picking up/ dropping off the tuxes. We have had many friends use this place and we would recommend it to others. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR A TUX RENTAL! With only 2 days before my wedding, my husbands tux was still not ready although the order was placed 2 months prior. When I called for an estimation on when he would be able to pick it up, I was transferred between 3 different workers and when finally able to talk to a "manager", she proceeded to tell me his jacket was being overnighted by UPS and should arrive in the afternoon the next day. That I shouldn't "worry" even though my wedding was the next day, and there's nothing she could do because it was prom season. Having to call them multiple times, my husband was finally able to pick up his tux at 3 pm the day before the wedding to find out when he got home pieces were missing. Awful customer service, awful organizational skills and AWFUL choice of words to use to a bride concerned her husband won't have his wedding attire.
