    Feline given dog food.

Went to pick up some prescription cat food that had been put aside for me. Halfway home, I see that I've been given dog food (as indicated on the label) and charged close to $30 for 4 small tins of cat food. I call to complain about such a serious mistake upon which the receptionist says that it was a simple mistake. She then tells me that I would have to come back with my physical credit card for a partial refund. I then ask for the office manager's name to which she responds that it's confidential information and that she can only take a message. Completely absurd! I turn my car around just to drive back to the clinic for the receptionist to gaslight me and tell me that I spoke to a call center and that the call was never directed to the clinic. Impossible because I recognized her voice and how would a random individual at a call center know such specific information without having access to my pet's chart. Anyway, just found this place to lack overall professionalism and integrity. I wasn't even offered an apology or compensated for their serious mistake. Way to create a loyal clientele...

We used to go to Bond Vet in Hell's Kitchen before we moved out to Brooklyn and the Park Slope location opened up. Glad we didn't have to stop going to a Bond Vet! They had all of our records on file, and changing to this location was seamless. All Bond Vet team members are very gentle and thorough with Benny. He's pretty stranger averse, but does well here. He got into rat poisoning as soon as we moved here, and the team did thorough tests to make sure he was okay and that he didn't need to go through Vitamin K therapy :)

My dog's favorite place! We have taken our dog here for all of her needs and she is well taken care of every time. We had an emergency where our dog swallowed a string that needed surgical intervention and the vets at bond immediately picked up on what was going on and sent us to a great ER nearby.

Got rejected to be seen by the doctor for having an anxious dog. My dog's eyes got slightly scratched by a foster puppy so we had to get him examined. We've been to Bond vet twice and our experience has been pleasant. However today, my pup was refused to be taken care of by Dr. Aldridge. Our medium-sized rescue dog from Korea gets anxious when he's at the vet and barks. He is not aggressive and has never attacked any person or a dog. We even put a soft muzzle to offer the doctor extra assurance. When we reassured the doctor that our dog doesn't bite, Dr. Aldridge did not trust us and said "I take that with a grain of salt," and rejected to examine our dog calling him "aggressive". Why wouldn't she at least try? He wasn't even doing anything with a muzzle on. She also continued to question us why we're not prescribing our dog Trazodone per Bond Vet's recommendation and demanded we should. We've already explained that Trazodone has not worked well with our dog. It always gives our dog an upset stomach for two days. It seemed like the doctor lacked empathy and knowledge on aggressive vs. anxious dogs. If your pup is skittish, we wouldn't recommend Bond Vet. Some doctors here may lack experience dealing with nervous dogs. I'm shocked because this never happened to our dog over the past five years of his life! Thankfully, we went to a local ER right after and was able to receive proper care. The nurse at the ER assured us that he's just a nervous pup and did not react to her care.

I've searched without success for years for an adequate veterinary provider, as my five-year-old cat, Rex, gets extremely stressed and anxious going to the vet's office. Comfort Paws offers the in-home alternative we need, and I'm so grateful for their services. Dr. Irons was prompt, friendly, organized, and communicative. She listened carefully to my concerns about Rex's health and my characterization of his temperament, and approached him in a way that allowed her to do a much more thorough examination than any other vet has without upsetting him unduly. When he became agitated near the end of the visit (as most cats would when receiving shots), she gave him the space he needed to calm down and monitored his body language and signals to prevent any injury or further distress. Comfort Paws will continue to be our go-to vet going forward, and I'm so happy to have found somewhere that can work with us to make sure Rex--who's a very sweet, amiable kitty, but who happens to be a large cat with major fears around medical treatment--can thrive.

From the very beginning, she was gentle, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of both our dog and our family. I might also add that while it wasn't yet an emergency situation, she was able to come on very short notice, which alleviated our dog's pain, and our emotional discomfort. She moved at a pace that honored what we were going through, explaining everything clearly while also knowing when to step back and simply give us space. Our dog was able to pass peacefully, surrounded by love, in an environment that felt calm and intentional rather than clinical. In a moment filled with overwhelming grief, she brought a sense of steadiness and grace that we won't forget. She provided compassionate care at the moment we needed it most. We are incredibly grateful and thankful, and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone facing this heartbreaking decision.

Dr. Loose is the perfect combination of respecting the client's wishes, but being firm with her guidance when she sees benefit for the animal. It adds to the charm of the neighborhood. They always decorate for holidays, and I especially love the giant skeleton they have at Halloween. Plus, we always have cute dogs hanging out at that corner. 2. I love that we have a privately owned, neighborhood vet in Brooklyn Heights. I was expecting the staff to be compassionate and helpful, and they were beyond nice. The inside is very cozy, but the patient rooms look modern and clean. 3. Brooklyn Heights is fancy, so I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to the bill. My dog Jeffrey had to renew all his annual vaccinations plus his three-year vaccinations. He had a full wellness check, including bloodwork and a fecal test. He had the works. It was expensive, but not unreasonable. Across all 5 vaccines and testing, it was maybe $100 more compared to prices at our last VCA vet in Boerum Hill. I was expecting more TBH. They also swabbed Jeffrey's ear to check for bacteria, and I did not see this on our bill. Thank you for that, Dr Chan! 4. I had read some reviews of people complaining about how the staff was difficult when asked for price breakdowns. I DID ask, and they were so kind. They really went out of their way to explain everything to me before I was charged or any procedures/testing had been done. If you had any questions or concerns with pricing, I would not hesitate to ask their staff, as they could not have been more accommodating. 5. Dr. Chan and her assistant (I'm looking for her name!) really went out of their way to adore Jeffrey. I expressed confusion seeing as how Bond is not just a vet, but an urgent care, and I've been able to walk in for emergencies at plenty of other Bond locations (particularly in Murray Hill and Upper East side - the folks and service at those locations are fantastic!). The receptionist told me that it was not an urgent care, that I could find some animal ERs a few miles away, and told me I was crazy! He was incredibly disrespectful and made a stressful situation even more stressful. The actual vets at this location have been okay in the past, but seeing as how this is the second time in a year that I've had a negative experience with the receptionists here (the first time I was given misinformation and overcharged), I would never recommend this location to pet owners.
