The vet and assistance were so caring for my dog. They had a lot of patience and accommodated us. I would definitely recommend!

Came here for a second visit. It was okay. They should be more transparent with pricing. Vet cost can add up and be sensitive topic for pet parents so being transparent would really help. On my first visit we were recommend the Lepto vaccination. After the shot was given, we were told my dog would need a booster in 4 weeks and said it would be counted as a nurse visit. Today was my second visit, not only do they charge for nurse visit but also charged another $55 fee for 2nd shot which means the vaccination alone is actually $110 and the nurse fee is $45. Had I known, I might have thought twice or maybe even delayed. Also they should have told me about the booster before the first shot was given. Lastly, when given full pricing today, I had to ask for a breakdown bc it didn't seem to add up, the nurse "changed" the price saying urine analysis was included in the blood work. Had I not asked for a breakdown and said okay I would have been over charged. Price transparency is important and helps make the visit a better experience. read more

All of the staff was kind and helpful. Our veterinarian, Dr. Michael Weisberg, and nurse were incredible! Wonderful staff very helpful my dog had a skin irritation and they went above and beyond

My girl friend is currently at the Garden City location with our 10 year old dog. We brought her in as a walk in and explained she has a very bad cough, rattling in her chest and believe she may need a chest X-ray (bond knows our dogs history with pneumonia, and collapsed trachea). They proceeded to give her a sedative and oxygen. 250+ visit. I was then told they are too short staffed to give her an X-Ray, complete the diagnostic part of the exam and that we would need to find an emergency room. They did not suddenly become short staffed. They knew they couldn't treat her fully but decided to find something to charge us for while we are there. I'm disgusted with bond. It has started to feel less like medical care for my pet and more like dealing with used car salesmen tactics. Last time I had a visit, with my other puppy I purposely didn't ask about the "medical waste disposal fee" on the invoice just to see if the staff would do the right thing and explain it or try to sweep it under the rug. They explained every other charge except the tiny charge thinking I wouldn't notice. That was the beginning of me having my radar up with these people. I am livid. My personal experience for Bond Vet was not to satisfactory. Honestly i wouldn't recommend this place if your pet was super ill. Just yesterday, my dog had passed away. For a whole week while my dog was suffering from kidney disease, i contacted Dr. Michael Weisberg to also contact me and provided my email and number for any updates regarding to my dog. However, he was unresponsive the whole time to my emails and messages while i contacted him through my mother's phone. And even if he send a response to us, it was very delayed. It was not worth the wait for his response due to my dog passing away later on. Won't recommend this place especially when the responses are awfully unreliable and miscommunicated. read more

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I was welcomed and my pet wasn't feeling well (nauseous). A shot was given to him. He still wasn't feeling well today. I tried to call numerous times today, and was told I would receive a call from a vet. At 5:30pm I decided to take a ride there. I said to the receptionist that I was in the offices yesterday. She said I wasn't here which of course I knew. I was told that walk-in's are automatically $120.00. She then said they were booked up, but I could wait and see if someone canceled. She also said they close at 7:00pm. She didn't even ask me how my pet was feeling nor cared. I called a different veterinarian and as I walking out the door I did say F you due to frustration and she said you too. So unprofessional and do not recommend them at all! No matter what my pet should have been seen, especially I was there the day before, but she didn't even look up his chart. read more

We wanted to take our cat to the Levittown animal hospital to be euthanized & they sent us here instead. Everyone was very nice & the appointment started out well. Our cat was barely alive but they insisted on doing a few tests on her before the euthanasia. They stated they would SEDATE her before doing anything to her. They began poking at her back legs, trying to find a vain. Couldn't find one. Moved to the front legs, couldn't find one. They keep poking. They THEN DECIDE AT THIS POINT they should sedate her. Why wasn't that their first step, as they stated it would be? Why did we have to put her through just a little more pain before putting her down? They give her the sedation & say we will be back in 10 minutes after she's a bit "mooshy" to preform the euthanasia but she died on the table before the doctors even returned. My mother went searching for a doctor & couldn't find one. When she eventually found the doctor, she told her "the cat has passed" & the doctor replied "it doesn't happen that quickly" but as she continues to examine the cat, she realized that yes... she had indeed passed. Feeling a bit like I was jipped out of my goodbye. And not that it is at ALL about money... but this was the worst AND most expensive vet appointment EVER. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the nice lady that took my cats foot print for me. read more

I strongly suggest you find a different vet practice until they learn that we, the customers are not there to be gouged; and as business owners, you need to deal with questions you don't want to answer (like where did these charges come from?) While I can't complain directly about the treatment per se, the practice, and the owners are completely non-responsive and their actions speak directly to the bottom-line. Brought my dog in for a back injury and they a) didn't mention he had a rabies vaccination due, b) didn't give it to him, c) didn't tell me why and when I did realize this, was told I would be charged for an office visit to give him a shot that should have been given in the first place (have no complaint about paying for the medications, just the "labor"). Our time is worth just as much as the time of the vets and the rest of the staff! Their reasoning (get this), he was sick (no he was injured), a vet has to give him the shot (so? a monkey can give a shot). After I was told this dribble, I asked to speak with the Practice Manager. That person wasn't available, so I asked to be called. A week has gone by, no call. I wrote to the Owners. No response. I sent the email directly to office. No response. They don't know how to communicate, they think they are partners in my wallet. Why would you want to deal with them???? read more

I just wanted to say that I booked an appointment to this place for my Yorkie Luki. It was very easy to book an appointment and they message you to send them paper work before the appointment. The facility is beautiful. Had treats on the side for the dogs and the receptionist was outstanding. The doctor and nurse who attended to Luki were so patient and understanding and very helpful. This was my first time visit and I didn't have to pay not one dollar because of a promotion they had. I 100% recommend this place. They also gave great advice on how to understand the situation that is currently going on with my fur baby. They will treat your fur baby as one of their own. read more

Called them this morning because our pup took a fall yesterday and we wanted a second opinion to ensure it wasn't neurological/more serious. They were able to get us in at 11am, and the vet and the tech were both friendly and warm to our pup and took great care of him and answered all our questions. Right now they're allowing pet parents in the building (masked), which is the main reason we called them and I'm glad we did. When your pet is in pain, it's so difficult to have strangers carry them in alone, so we're appreciative that Bond is letting us in with Boomer so he feels more safe at the vet! I wish I could give less than 1 star. We visited the Bond Vet location in Garden City. Our Dachshund had a tiny abrasion at the tip of his ear. 2 office visits and $600 later, the problem was still not resolved. This clinic tries to make up diagnosis that are inaccurate just to charge you more money. Their primary concern is profit. I took our dog back to his primary veterinarian in Pennsylvania, and it cost us $24 to deal with the issue. Under no circumstances would I ever bring my dogs here again. read more

I put my dog to sleep today. I brought him in one week ago because he was limping. It was obvious he had arthritis. He was a geriatric rescue dog. Dr Jessica Chandler assured me he would be fine under the "mild" anesthesia he would be receiving to do x-rays. I had my mom pick him up and he was a different dog. This place literally believed he did "great" meanwhile my dog wouldn't eat at all. He couldn't swallow food or water. He literally went senile. The veterinarian has a receptionist or whoever is typing the notes in the pet portal. The VETERINARIAN should be the one to converse with patients, not someone else. They require a deposit before treating pets, which I had no problem providing. I was charged 800. The end total was close to 1600. Do you know they charged me 1600 when my dog was picked up? Instead of just the balance. I had to take my dog to a different vet, pay additional money, and TODAY had to put my dog to sleep. I will NEVER recommend this place nor their veterianrians. BTW, if you wish for this place to resuscitate your pet, they charge a fee for that. I can't get my dog back. But I hope I can help someone else before they lose their pet to incompetence. read more

they wanted to sedate my dog and charge me $1200 to pluck hairs for my dog's ear infection update our vet like many others determined that plucking ear hair can cause microscopic tears in the ear canal. she did not recommend bond vet's assessment also the medicine bond vet prescribed has many cases of causing hearing loss in dogs please do your own research get second opinions before going to garden city bond vet, we only went due to them being open on sunday. read more

Brought my 15 year old cat in because we thought there was blood in his urine and he has been urinating in the house which he has never done before, also his appetite has increased. The Veterinarian did extensive blood work which cost $497.00, and I still have no diagnosis. However, after I called them and spoke to the Veterinarian today, they never tested for the UTI because the sample was too diluted, but for another $125.00 they can do the test using the original diluted sample! REALLY!!!! The Veterinarians seem very nice and the facility was extremely well kept. I wish them luck in their endeavers, and hope they remember to have compassion and that a successful business is more than a cash cow. read more

First we walk in at 10am when they open to be told they don't take walk in's. That's not what is stated on website. They said they had a 4pm appt available and we agreed to come back. Arrived at 3:50. No one in waiting room. A tech asked what we were here for and we stated infection. My husband said all the info should be in your computer. In which she stated " it's faster if you tell me" We were in the city location 2 weeks prior ( they were fabulous) At 4:45 still not seen and nothing communicated to us. Had an unusually long wait. My dog was stressed out enough just being there and the wait made it worse for her. One of the items on the bill was lab work for fecal matter. $79 They sent an email stating the lab did not do the test because they did not have enough. This was taken by the doctor who said it was enough. Lab stated it was not enough. could not do the test. I called to ask for a credit and they said they would get back to me. Never happened. I had to call two more times. Was then told I would not receive a credit. Called my bank to dispute charge and received voice mail that yes I would be credited! After all that! Too much aggravation. Will not be going back. Very impersonal If you call you do not get the vets office it goes to a call center and you have to wait till someone gets back to you. Very frustrating system. I should have gotten an immediate yes regarding the credit instead of being told we'll get back to you. They are getting one star because that is the only way to post this. My cat, Noah, throws hissy fits at the vet -- literally, he will hiss and scratch and growl and has been labeled a difficult cat in prior exams. But at Bond, after he was given some catnip, Churu, and handled fear free, the vet and technician were able to do bloodwork and a cysto on him without sedation and he was an absolute purring mush before and after. The turnaround for his bloodwork results was very timely. And I was able to get a better idea of what he may or may not need in my conversation with the vet, who gave me her honest and truly appreciated medical opinion. They are responsive through email and transparent about their costs. I was happy with our experience here and will be returning for his yearly bloodwork and exams. read more

I always pass by this office during my grocery runs. Luckily I remembered this vet when my dog had 10 episodes of vomiting one morning. Our usual vet was booked and couldn't take him, called 3 other places that couldn't squeeze him in. Luckily Bond Vet was able to see my pup within the hour. I was blown away by their service! The vet and vet techs were caring and attentive and made sure all my questions were answered before the visit was over. I even got an email the next morning asking how my pup was doing. Very disappointed with the service given at the Garden City location. I was told I could have my original First I was told by a Surgery Concierge that I could make my appointment at the Merrick location but then have the procedure done in Garden City. I was told it didn't matter what location I went to for the initial consultation. Then I waited over two weeks to get a response to schedule the dental 3 procedure for my dog after getting an estimate from Garden City. I then waited another week to make an appointment with Dr. Chandler because she wanted to see my dog Jasmine before doing the procedure. I just met with Dr. Chandler today. I waited 30 minutes in the room for her to come in. When she came in she quickly looked at Jasmine's teeth, listened to her heart and then said she agreed with the dental 3 diagnosis the Merrick location gave. She then proceeded to "highly" recommend a radiograph study due to my dogs age. When I was told the quote in the office it was a low cost of $708 and a high of $808. I told the nurse I would like to talk to my husband first before doing this as it was not recommended before. When I got to my car, the estimate was sent to my email with a completely different number. Now the estimate was $873. This is an absolute scam. You can not give one number and then add to the estimate to make the number higher. I called the location and Dr. Chandler had an "appointment" so she wouldn't come to the phone. I would never trust these doctors if they are just looking to make money instead of being up front and honest in the first place. read more

You want personal service? First name basis?? Doctors that will call you on your off hours just to check to see how your pet is doing. On their day off they will also call to see how your fur babies are doing! They have samples for your fur babies to TRY while they're waiting to see the vet!! It's nothing that you've ever experience. And I have been to veterinarian offices in South Florida and a New York. And hands-down this is the best office I have ever been to. This place is really welcoming, clean and comfortable. I brought my dog in for a skin rash and they gave me specific pills and medicated shampoo.
