The receptionist is rude. She needs to some manners, guess you can't teach an old nasty dog new tricks. The only reason i stay is beacuse the doctor and her assistant are great and are excellent with my dog. Don't let them add a surprise to your bill by waiting til you get back to the receptionist desk, ready to pay and leave, by coming to you taking your leash right out of your hand and saying "oh but wait we going to clean her ears" and you thinking ok no big deal, my dog needs her ears cleaned" yeah right $12 added itself to your bill, lol, if you need something like that let them do it otherwise just say no. I think every vet is pricy, no matter where you go. But my baby is checked very well here. The receptionist need to get a job at the zoo, somewhere she doesn't interact with people. Otherwise the doctor is great!

Before garden city vet care. Another vet shaved my dog and gave me 6 bottles of some liquid to put on her skin ( did not help but cost 400)

When i came to this office i had a dog full of unknown allergies that no other vet helped me figure out. As soon as i got here Dr Buscemi recommended an allergy test. She helped us find out the root cause of my dogs allergies. We are finally able to contain my dogs horrible allergies thanks to this vet. Even though my dog is big and mean ,Dr Buscemi never gave up on us and she always gave the best advice. She didn't push me into spending the most money on unnecessary products , she gave me options and let me decide. I've spent thousands of dollars on my dogs illness but it is so much better that i only need to come to the vet once every few months as opposed to every few weeks.

What an incredible group of people!…read more My dog is susceptible to pneumonia and when he had a wet cough on a Sunday, I knew it couldn't wait for his primary vet on Monday. In the past we went ton other emergency vets and unfortunately it was always a long wait, you were away from your dog the entire time, and they wouldn't release your dog to you until after you paid. VEG is different than all those places. We were seen immediately and while they do have an open concept ER, they gave us a private room just in case. The nurse (Diana) and the vet (Dr. Schwartz) were all incredible. They took such good care of our dog and us! They allow you to be with your pet during X-rays which I found amazing. No paying first then waiting for your pet to be discharged. You're as hands on as you're comfortable being. Amazing place.

What is there to say besides don't trust this place with your pet, your time or your money…read more To say we had a negative experience would at this point be an understatement. The behavior this practice has exhibited has been avoidant, evasive and disappointing. I called distressed after my dog was having complications healing from surgery after a lipoma removal. We arrived on a busy Sunday and were taken at the end of a triage. During our time there I voiced to MULTIPLE techs that my dog was bleeding through his gauze. 2/3 responses were a deadpan stare and the words "ok". It took 3 times of me asking/ pleading for someone to listen to me. Even then I was armed with loose gauze and a wee wee pad. When we were finally seen I was so relieved i let this all fall away. I was so happy my pet was taken care of I went home following their orders and protocol. The next day I realized all the sutures at the site had fallen out and we were back at square one after spending hundreds of dollars. Naturally I was upset and placed a call to the location. I was placed on an infinite hold 3 times with no answer until i called from my friend's phone to which they picked up immediately. I have been calling every day since Monday with not a single person giving me a call back or without any financial compensation for the negligent job they did. I have given them since Monday to give me a call back and fix this. I've called every day without a call back. So if you don't care about your pets or spending unnecessary money this is the place for you!

So far I've been here twice and the experience was way better than at my previous vet. First time I was here, I waited a long time in the waiting room bc it was really busy. Second visit, I made sure to make the first appointment right when they open at 9am and from here on, it was all curbside. Love that. All the staff here are very friendly and Dr. Gaberman is great & I appreciate her honesty. Prices are expensive, which is expected for a non-chain in the Roslyn area. Examination $85, recheck exam $65, rabies shot $65, cytopoint is $158 for my dog (40 lbs), etc. I decided to opt out of animal insurance this year and just pay out of pocket for what is needed. They don't always pick up the phone the first or second time so keep trying and be prepare to wait in the car for someone to come get/ return your pet, could be a while so be patient. I'm so glad I stopped going to Banfield.

A frustrating thing about being a dog parent in NY is, the boroughs and Long Island are full of organic, wholistic, integrative options for humans. From integrative wellness centers (usually unaffordable), to organic restaurants, organic coffee, wine, cotton, and yoga - there's plenty of wholistic/ integrative options for humans, and almost none for our animal friends. Seems like every veterinarian, even if they offer acupuncture, all operate on the same protocols, the same narrow areas of knowledge where they don't see the body as an interconnected system. It's a relief to know the folks at Williston Park Animal Hospital, to finally have a vet who offers things beyond the usual tweak-one-thing-but-worsen-another paradigm of allopathic medicine. 99% of vets should all have the same advertisement, at best - A comfortable waiting area, a team of people who genuinely love animals, but have such a narrow knowledge base that they may as well be interchangeable cogs in a machine, all offering the same things - that's how medical schools churn out graduates, however well meaning. Dr Hardoon knows about herbal medicine, noninvasive therapies, takes her time and answers my too-many questions. Their prices are challenging (if they offer a foot soak, ask the cost before agreeing!), but cheaper vets who have a smaller, more toxic toolbox end up costing more. On multiple occasions, I asked Dr Hardoon about additional testing, just in case, and when she could have pushed more things that resulted in a higher bill, she explained why she didn't think the additional testing was necessary. As my baby is getting older, there is huge peace of mind in knowing a vet who thinks wholistically and respects choices.
