0 stars if I could.... VERY dissatisfied. The guy came out without notice- I came home from work one day and he was up on our roof, even though he never called. When I talked to him, he had trouble forming coherent sentences and describing what exactly he did to fix the roof. He was sort of staring off into the distance the whole time; in fact, I am convinced he was on drugs. Obviously, the roof didn't get fixed properly. The next time it rained, my son's desk got soaked, which completely destroyed his PlayStation2 and a lot of papers he had been working on for school. They just came out to "re-fix" the roof, so we'll see how that goes. Overall, I am very upset with their sub-par quality of service and inability to get the job done. read more

They did a roof repair for me. The roof still leaks in the same spot. Someone came out to check the repair and told me someone would call to schedule the repair. No one called. A month passed. I call to inquire, and they have no record that anyone was here. Made me feel like a liar. I had to argue with the repair manager and explain that I have the person's business card. No resolution as of yet. So, to echo everyone else, get everything in writing and take pictures to verify that they visited your home. Better yet, use another company. Clearly, the Angie's List rating is bogus. read more

As far as roofing companies go Bone Dry was very good to work with. They took video of everything they saw during assessment. Also took pics and video of the work on the roof after completion. Very communicative during the work as well. Would recommend. read more

We were very pleased after Bone Dry rebuilt our chimney couple of years ago. We made the decision to go with Bone Dry to replace the siding for the entire house. Again, we are pleased on the quality of the product and the workmanship. During the work one of our neighbors asked if we are happy with the work from Bone Dry and told them yes. I wish I had read the reviews before contacting them. They came out, gave me a quote but never called me back to put me on the schedule. I called them back several times with the promise that they would schedule me to fix my gutter. After waiting and playing "try to catch the tech on the phone" I contacted House Mechanics, not only did they cut the quote price in half they also rebuilt parts of my gutter so I would not have to buy another. Most importantly though, they responded and showed up when they promised and finished in less than 4 hours. read more

I accepted a quote from Bone Dry to do my chimney repair because it was reasonable compared to other quotes. When the crew came to do the job, they texted photos and let me know their progress. When the job was complete, I was disappointed to see that there was a section of the old flaking brick still left in place. When I asked why, I was told that my chimney was worse than expected and they had exceeded the brick limit on the quote. That is why some of the old brick was left. In my opinion, this means that the job was underquoted. It was obvious that the chimney was in bad shape when the quote was drawn up. At the time of the repair, I do not know why the workers did not contact me about the brick overage and let me know the situation. They were sending me photos the whole day of their progress. Bone Dry made an additional quote to finish the job which included a set-up fee. I needed the chimney repaired and was in a dilemma to have completed. I had them finish but at least they could have waived the set-up fee since they should have let me know of the issue during initial repair. After all was finished there is flaking on one of the large sections of mortar and discoloration where mortar residue has washed over the brick. When they returned for waterproofing, none of these issues were fixed. Again, they sent a text when they were to come for the waterproofing, but they did not reply when I asked to fix these last issues. My chimney is stable and better than it was, but I am unhappy how they never responded to any final problems and how they underquoted. I have had several neighbors inquire about having work done on their chimneys. I let them know of the issues I had. Word of mouth travels fast and this company will never know how much business they have lost because of poor customer service. read more

Bone Dry did an excellent job replacing my old shingle roof with a new metal roof. It was a surprisingly difficult job due to bowed roof timbers, but the final work is great. The crew was very responsive to my questions and went above and beyond at all stages of the process to provide exceptional service. Had a roof installed 11 years ago. Had a small problem with flashing around a chimney that had started to buckle and push some shingles up. Called Bone Dry to have them come out and fix the problem, fully expecting to pay. Much to my surprise, Adam looked at the problem, fixed it and did not charge anything for the repair!!! And NO service fee!!! Now that is what I call customer service!!! We just completed an extensive job with Bone Dry.....roof (regular and metal), gutters, fascia repair, interior ceiling repair, and whole house exterior paint. The work they did was exceptional. The crews were all very responsive and professional. In the construction industry, it's rare to have a comprehensive project like this not go wrong. We were really pleased with their communication through each phase. We knew when rain would mess with the schedule, yet they let us know, in advance, if they wouldn't be there AND what our new schedule was. They take photos throughout the process, which would have been a HUGE help if we weren't working from home. We highly recommend them. read more

I requested Bone Dry Roofing repair the first two to three rows of shingles on my 15 year old roof. These edge shingles were noticeably beginning to separate but the rest of the roof looked fine. They did a beautiful job "tacking down" those rows of shingles in the front and on both sides of the house (south, east and west). When they got to the back of the house (north) which is an "added on room" to the original house, they discovered that the plywood beneath those shingles was deteriorated and that water was actually leaking into the space between the roof and the inside ceiling over that room probably for as long as 8-10 years!!! I had no previous leaks from that area but if the workers had not noticed and fixed this part of the roof...I would have had an emergency situation on my hands in the very near future!!! Hector and Christobol expertly repaired this large area of my roof and I was so grateful that they took no short cuts to do a quality job for me! I highly recommend this company. They have integrity, excellent customer service, and the expertise to go above and beyond and to get it done right! read more

I would give them zero stars if I could. I've never had a worst customer experience with a company. They took over a week just to call to get me scheduled after sending in our quote twice. Once the guy did come out, he told me that he would send pictures of the work upon completion. It has been over two months and no one can seem to get themselves together enough to email pictures to me or even to provide the simple gesture of returning my repeated phone calls and voicemails. Getting an answer from anyone has been like pulling teeth, it just seems like everyone covers for themselves. The "manager" kept interrupting me when I tried to explain my issues over the phone because it is quite obvious that this company could care less about their customer's concerns or issues STAY AWAY! read more

They must be very busy! I took today off from work as I scheduled an appointment with them yesterday and they could not give me a time window for today. I called once at 1PM today to make sure they were still coming and was told they should be calling in an hour or so, and again at 4PM and was told they would "check into it". We thought we needed a roof and have had a couple contractors come out and look and an insurance adjuster. The first contractor was dishonest. The second contractor is good and gave us an estimate. The adjuster said our roof was good for another 4 to 5 years and a week later our roof began to leak. We called and asked for another adjuster to look. They said they needed another contractor to come out first. Bone Dry Roofing came out and looked and found our leak by the vent box, cut away part of the shingles that were causing the problem and sealed all around it free of charge. **Edited to improve rating. After being frustrated and ready to move on to another company, Jim Hopper, the repair division manager contacted me to apologize for the issue and offer a resolution. He was able to have a contractor come out Saturday afternoon (10/13) to make the repair and also offered 20% off the original estimated cost of the repair. The contractor showed up Saturday, completed the repair (to the best of my knowledge) and cleaned up once he was finished. I very much appreciate the manager following up with me, apologizing for the error and resolving the issue. Terrible customer service and no communication. Quinn Heath inspected my roof and provided a repair proposal that was accepted the same day - 9/11/18. A month later the repairs are still not complete and NO COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMPANY. I contacted Quinn and he said the company had been "backed up due to rain" but would contact the contractors to see if he could give me an update on when the work would be done. Never heard back from Quinn so I called the main company number and was told there was never a work order even turned in. This is beyond frustrating and so unprofessional. This was my second time working with Bone Dry. I had poor communication the first time but at least the work got done. I have "withdrawn" the work order that was never submitted in the first place and will never be working with bone dry roofing again. I would never recommend this company for any roof repairs. I contracted Bone Dry as recommended by my insurance adjustor. We just need to have some missing shingles replaced at the roof vent and furnace vent. I had to wait over a week for someone to come out and give me a quote. After agreeing to the quote so we could get the repairs made right away to avoid water getting into the house they told me that someone would contact me to set up an appointment for the work to be done within 7-10 days. Well it's been 3 weeks and I have still not received a call back or any contact at all. Yesterday I finally contacted another company, they came out and stated that we needed it fixed right away as it was really bad, came in cheaper and fixed our roof the same day. I will not be calling this company for any work again! read more

don't be reassured by any of their fancy warranties. Shingle Manufacture Warranty, Labor Warranty on 30 year roof or an additional 10 year warranty that I paid for out of pocket that they will not honor. Morealess, the guy said I bought something worthless so just more profits for Bone Dry - way to rip people off! I showed the guy all the paperwork from the first time with all the warranties and work they did then he started backtracking what he said and said he was just "assuming" Since installing in 2017 shingles (which they bragged about then as the best now complain about them as not being good) and "upgrading" to fancy nails to keep the shingles in place. Installed new roof 2017 had to come out and they would only "patch" the missing shingles less than 2 years of installing and now it was a fight almost over a year of coming out to again all the missing shingles on the roof ripped to the decking, which they will not honor any of the warranties and fix all the missing shingles on the roof less than 4 years of putting on a brand new roof! They said I could either go through insurance or they would charge me insane fee to "patch all the missing shingles". Again not fix there work just patch. Stay away if you don't want to get ripped off. read more

I enquired about a free estimate for siding and gutter repairs. I missed the initial call but returned the call on my lunch break. I asked for a free estimate after 4:30-5pm or on weekend (my husband and I work 7:30-4:30 plus travel time). I was informed that Scott does not go out for estimates after 4pm or on the weekends. It is ridiculous that perspective customers would have to take time off work for JUST an estimate. I quickly called 2 other companies that were willing to accommodate working families. I have an estimate set for tomorrow at 5:30p with another company. read more

Bone Dry Roofing seem to have done a good job on a repair job for me a year or so ago. However, several months after the work was completed, a couple leaks appeared and I called them since it was under warranty. They sent someone out to look at it and said that an employee that does warranty would contact me within a couple weeks and make the repairs. After several weeks, I called and was told they were sorry and someone would call me by the next day to schedule appt. to come out. That has been at least four month ago. Bone Dry did our roof a couple of weeks ago. It looks great and they were conscientious in their scheduling, execution and cleanup. Our 22-yr. old roof had several places where decking needed to be replaced and they did that when doing the new roof. Our foundation plantings were maintained in very good shape with no damage to landscaping. A good experience, and we would recommend them to others. read more

These clowns strung me along for two months. They sent people out 5 times to provide estimates and meet with my insurance adjuster. Finally we all shake hands and it seems like the my roof is finally going to be fixed. Two weeks later I called to see what the hold up was and they told me they wanted more money than what they had agreed to with my insurance adjuster. They said they would still be willing to do the work but I would have to pay the difference out of pocket. Don't waste your time with they guys. I've dealt with some shady contractors before, but these guys are the worst. Wish I could give them 0 stars. read more

If I could give zero stars I definitely would. I called to get an estimate on a roof repair on Oct 13 and had a tech at my house on Oct 15. It was a small repair which I (incorrectly) assumed could be fixed the same day. The tech gave me the estimate which I accepted. He then told me that someone would call to schedule the repair. I thought, "Okay, it'll be done within the next week." One week goes by and I call the office and am told that they will call me. Two weeks go by and I call the office again and am again told that they'll call me. I call after the fourth week and ask to be transferred to someone else because my messages are obviously not getting through. I'm transferred to a lady in the "scheduling department" who pulls up my info and tells me that the manager will call me "tomorrow or the next day." He calls two days later (Nov 10) and tells me that they'll have someone out on Thursday (Nov 13) or will call that day with an actual repair date. Well, that day has come and gone by more than 9 days with not so much as a peep, email, voicemail, smoke signal, etc. from this company. The complete lack of proactive scheduling and communication from this company makes me believe that they are poorly run with ineffectual and incompetent management. Just pathetic, really. I would recommend staying as far away from Bone Dry as possible. They definitely do not honor their word. I would use much harsher words but I bet they'd be filtered out of this review. read more

This was the second time I used their services - the first being a total re-roof, they were thorough in the assessment and went above and beyond on the installation of the new shingles. They were very fast to come out and give a proposal...but when I signed it and sent it back, I didn't hear back from them for scheduling (as they said they would do). When I called them, they said they received the paperwork back and they would be calling me at some point and offered no more info. I still have not heard back from them. If they can't even bother to respond to someone wanting to give them money to do work...I can't imagine what other problems I would have had with them. read more

This is terrible. Let me start from the beginning, I called to have my roof vents looked at as well as a bathroom pipe that was leaking. I agreed to the price of 320 but was told a 5% Angies List discount would be taken off. I called after signing the proposal to be told that their scheduling team would call within TWO weeks. Ya, it seemed a little long but I said ok. A week and a half later I get up to knocking at my door, its them and the sales rep. I said what are you doing here? He said well we came to do your roof, I said no you are not. He said they called you and scheduled, and I said that's a bold faced lie. I told them to do work at my house you will have to schedule a time with me, I work 50 plus hours a week. He left, and I waited a week, and not wanting to chance it happening again I called their office, irritated. I was transferred to a manager's voice mail and left a message. I waited over two days, and a tech called from their company to let me know he would be there within an hour. I wait, two hours, because I left work early and said this isn't happening again. I called the office irate, to be told that I needed to calm down because it is not that big of a deal. Get the voice mail of a bigger boss and get a call back from the tech again, not even the boss letting me know hey we had another job scheduled, we're running behind. I said whatever just do the damn work already. They come, do half the work, and tell me they don't have the right boot, and will be back within a week. In the mean time I get a phone call from the MANAGER, who says did we take care of you and I told him everything, and he didn't seem like he cared or that this happens a lot. I told him my discount for angies list wasnt taken and the job wasnt done and I will not pay for something that wasnt done. A day passes and I get an email to pay my bill, with the full damn amount. What the heck is going on there?!?! No one does the right thing. I email back to say I will pay when the job is complete and I will pay after my discount is taken off. Get an email back five minutes later saying this was forwarded to the manager as some sort of threat. HUH?!?! I get a call today 6/30 saying hey we will be there before the end of the business day, I said ok, just finish the job already jeez! I wait, and wait, and wait. They show up at my house at 8:45 PM!!!!!!!!!!! What company sends techs out at this late of an hour? Like I said I work 12 hour days, go to school, and have a business to run, this isn't my idea of a good time. Extremely unhappy with this unprofessional encumbering company that I won't use again. read more

We had several quotes to have our roof replaced and Bone Dry was close to the others, but we had used them before for repairs at our previous house and they had the best customer service. We went with them for our roof and I couldn't be happier. They did a great job. I ended up having a couple issues which they resolved in a weeks time for free. The skylights that we had replaced didn't look good from the inside since we had some 1989 skylights replaced and even though it was in the contract that it didn't include interior work they came out and boxed them all in for free (which looked great when they were done). I also ended up getting a roofing nail in my mower tire. I called them about it and they sent me a gift card even though it cost $5 to get it fixed. All around great service and great work. They also have the best warranty and I believe they will honor it! Wouldn't recommend anyone else! read more
