Wow, this place was great. Went here last night, with 1 boss, 1 co-worker and her 2 kids and her mother. It was loud, dark and crowed but we were seated pretty quickly. (Close to our reservation time). Our waitress was great. She was smart, accommodating and good with the kids. Being that I don't eat any seafood, I can not comment on that, but I had a nice house salad and a pork dish that was fantastic. The cocktails were good and everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. Only rating a three star because the food was good. Other than that, the service here SUCKS. For a well known resturant you would think their service would be great :) but I was disappointed. Our server and most of them seem really young but ours was just either really anxious or was having a bad night because she was really forgetful. Forgot or took long to bring anything we requested. Great food at a reasonable price with decent service. Started with bread, which was delicious. Ordered Bang Bang shrimp as an appetizer, delicious and actually way more than I expected, probably about 12-15 shrimp brought out over lettuce in a small oval shaped, bowl like dish. Had the Lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque. Entrée was filet and shrimp with broccoli and succotash and lobster man and cheese with lobster bisque and couscous. Everything turned out to be some of the best I had tasted, which was surprising being that this is a chain restaurant. Not often do chain restaurants deserve a 4 star or higher rating. Really want to give 4.5 but cant. A better drink selection and a little better service would have warranted 5 stars for this Tuesday night. read more

We had the bang bang shrimp, Hawaiian martini and the Chilean Sea Bass. All of it was amazing and the staff was very friendly. Our waiter was honest about the food when we had questions instead of just telling us to go for the more expensive food, though I did anyway haha. Their Bloody Mary though was horrible though as it had way too much horse radish. It was very thick and was like drinking cocktail sauce. read more

We made reservations to take our mother out for Mother's Day and waited an hour to be seated. My daughters filet mignon was served rare even though she ordered it medium well. We sent it back to be cooked more and it was returned to her still undercooked and with no sides. Bonefish gets two stars instead of one because our waiter Hayden worked really hard to make our experience pleasant in spite of all the issues. read more

Usually I don't do reviews but I felt the need to say something about my Bonefish experience. In the past, I have had mixed experiences with Bonefish but I have never had a totally awesome experience nor have I had a horrible experience. Until now. This past weekend, a couple of my sorority sisters and I decided to catch a bite to eat at Bonefish on Forrest Drive before a 7:05pm movie. We got there at 5:30pm. Bonefish was not overly crowded and we were in the bar area. We just wanted something quick before the movie, which was down the street from Bonefish. It was also pouring rain as well. We first had a waiter and his trainee ask us for our drink order. At the time, it was only two of us there at the table. I ordered water, lite ice with lots of lemon while my sorority sister ordered water, lots of ice and definitely no lemon. Well, the trainee came back with the wrong water for my guest/sorority sister (she had way too many lemons). Simple mistake but this is not why I am writing this review and giving the Bonefish on Forrest Drive one star. I wish I could give a negative star if that was possible because one star is still high for this place. It was a downhill spiral for the rest of the night. After the water mix up, we got a new waitress (not sure why because we did not complain about this nor did we ask for another waiter). She took our orders (now there are three people at the table). My issue was that we sat there for over an hour without food while other guests who came in after us were either eating or had eaten and left. Our order was not complicated (I ordered a Caesar salad, a cup of Lobster Chowder, and a side of Brussels Sprouts; my sorority sister ordered the Cod without the fries and a side of Brussels Sprouts, and lastly, my sorority sister ordered the Pot-stickers and Salad with Shrimp). We kept asking the waitress where was our food. She said that the kitchen was backed up and she did not know what was taking our order so long. I have worked in the food industry and things happen beyond our control. I get it. I understand. But if you have other guests eating food and orders being filled of guests that came after we did (like WAY after we had been sitting there for at least 30 minutes), something in the milk is not clean. Please note that we are trying to make a 7:05pm movie where we had to drive to the movie location (which was a 5 minute drive), find a park and get tickets. We finally got food at 6:30pm after waiting one hour and watching others eat and leave. A manager finally brought the food out without a sincere apology(without any apology actually) for the wait. My sorority sister's Brussels were burned and she said that it tasted burned. When she asked the manager if the Brussels were supposed to look like that (burnt), he mumbled something and jetted off to the back. She did not eat the rest after tasting the first one. My chowder was lukewarm. While my sprouts were okay, but they had a weird cheese sauce that tasted like sugar. By now it is 6:35pm or 6:45pm and we are trying to eat this food that just came out of the kitchen. The waitress appears and ask if we are okay. We said not really. We were like maybe we can still catch this movie and asked for the checks (even though we though why are you giving us checks after waiting for more than one hour for food without any apologies or explanations). Trust and believe that we are all professional women and we are not out here trying to scam to get free food from anyone. So we get the checks. She got the checks wrong (wrong items on the bill) so we had to wait for her to straighten it out. Needless to say, it is now 6:50pm or 6:55pm and we are just leaving Bonefish. We did not make it to the movies (what was the point after all of that drama) because it would have been too much of a rush and the weather was bad. That experience left us all drained and disappointed. Again, I never had a stellar experience at Bonefish Grill on Forrest Drive but my past experiences were acceptable enough for me to consider giving them chances to get it right. After this last experience I will never eat at this Bonefish location (Forrest Drive) ever again. I actually think that I am done with all the Bonefish Grill restaurants. The service was horrible and the staff was uncaring and cold. The manager had a bad attitude. It was not a pleasant experience. I know that we all can have a bad night but it seems like it is a trend at this Bonefish location. I will not be a returning customer. read more

I come to this location every now and then and every time I've come, the service has been really good! I went there today with my friend and our two kids for brunch. I usually come around dinner time, but was pleasantly surprised at their brunch menu. Me and my friend ended up getting the Ceviche appetizer, which was really good and lite. You could definitely taste the citrus flavors in it! The chips served with it were really crunchy but a little bland for my taste buds personally. For my entree I got the bang bang shrimp eggs benedict which was good. I was just a tad disappointed that the English muffin was a little soggy and one egg was too poached, but overall it was good. The asparagus was a great size but a little on the too soft and soggy side (I like it to have a little crunch). I got the corn and lump crab chowder as an additional side which, again, was good but I could barely taste any crab in it at all. It tasted more like just a corn chowder. My son got the bang bang shrimp tacos. ..now THAT was delicious lol. Overall this place had a nice warm atmosphere, the service is fast, friendly, and fantastic, and I will definitely be back for more! read more

Usually love Bonefish but not today. We went for their Sunday $6.00 bites and $5.00 martinis. When we arrived, there was only one couple in the bar area and two couples in the dining room. We arrived early and the place was practically empty. The waitress started to seat us right next to another couple. Since the restaurant was so empty, we asked if we could move ONE TABLE OVER and she acted liked we had asked for the moon. She finally got the O.K. from the hostess and we moved. We weren't there two minutes and the toddler with the couple in the bar very near to us started yelling (yes, yelling!). Took the wife here for our Anniversary and enjoyed the food the service and ambience. The margarita was Fantastic! The wine was good. The corn chowder was okay but I probably wouldn't order it again. The bread was excellent with the herbs and olive oil. We both ordered lamb chops which were very tender but room temperature. The deserts weren't so good to me I had the brownie w/nuts and ice cream the wife had the Key Lime pie I probably wouldn't do the deserts again. But despite all this had a FANTASTIC anniversary and would come here again. read more

Wow what a horrific Mother's Day experience. Arrived at 12:40 pm for a 1 pm reservation. Groups arriving after us and we'll past 1 were seated before us. Finally seated at 1:45 after pressing the issue. Sitting at our table at 2:30 - still no food. This place is a train wreck on special days. Do yourself a favor and get a reservation at a place that honors it and knows how to service people well. read more

This restaurant used to be one of our favorites, but the service is horrific now. What is the purpose of a reservation if it is not honored? People without reservations were seated before our party. When my husband went to speak with the manager, she was dismissive and not at all concerned or accommodating. I've never seen such inefficiency and lack of concern for the customer. Had a good meal on Wednesday. Bang Bang shrimp is offered as an entree with a cup of corn and garlic mash potatoes, and some steamed veggies .. tap beers are $1.00 off on Wednesday. The shrimp is on special price on Wednesdays also. Check early arrival discounts as well. Server was excellent, food was just great, as per usual. Nice atmosphere, definitely a premiere place. I Went to the Bonefish Grill on a Saturday night with three other ladies. It was very loud and crowded. The bartender was great while we waited for a table. The table service was mediocre ar best. We waited over five minutes before even being offered water. One lady ordered a side cesear salad. It consisted of romaine lettuce, dressing and two croutons. I've had better at McDonald's. I ordered the grilled rainbow trout. Unfortunately, what I was served was an over spiced piece of shoe leather. When I complained the staff handled it very well. I was eventually served a beautifully grilled fish. I just wish it had been served correctly the first time. Overall, the Bonefish Grill was way over priced for either the atmosphere or the food. There are far better choices in Columbia. read more

I don't normally post reviews and I usually love Bonefish. However, yesterdays lunch was much less than expected. There were more employees than customers yet the service was slow. We were mot greeted. My order was wrong and it took forever to get the right food. My guest was over charged and no explanation was provided at the time the order was placed. I would not recommend this place for lunch. It appears there is no manager on duty. Just groups of employees standing around talking. read more

I took my brother out for a 74 Birthday. Our dinner was beyond fabulous. We had salmon,scallops and cod which were all Great. We actually search for a con in our meal. There was none! Overall, I would say that this restaurant is OK. Nothing special. Service was good. My complaint is the portion of an appetizer, the calamari. I have eaten calamari at a lot of restaurants, and this one was the worst. The calamari is priced at $11+. When it arrived the dish contained a bed of lettuce and hard noodles, but very few pieces of calamari. I would estimate around 12 pieces that were no larger than the size of a nickel, a very poor representation of an appetizer. read more

The meal at Bonefish was great. I came to during brunch and ordered dinner with a side of sweet potato. It wasn't listed on the menu, but i was charged extra. The waitress neglected to inform me of the additional charge. The Manger on duty was very understanding. She fixed the problem. But kept telling me in the future remember if an extra charge. But, yet did not suggest in the future; she would recommend that the charge is listed on their menu. read more

Stopped in for Sunday Brunch, and was so disappointed in everything from the menu choices to the atmosphere! I ordered the Shrimp and Eggs Benedict, and the English muffin was so tough, I had a hard time cutting through it, even with a serrated knife! Ok so let me start by saying that I have been coming to this particular Bonefish ever since they've opened and have never had an issue with them......until tonight. The waitress my mother and I had tonight (her name was Ina) did not perform good service AT ALL. We had to ask her for things that she should already serve us such as ice (mind you every other table in that restaurant had ice in their cups but us) and even the bread that is supposed to come with your meal (mind you we didn't get bread until the meal we out). She seemed not to have a good attitude with us but with other tables I noticed that she was a little more friendly. She took a while to come check on us when we needed things and took even longer to come clear off the table from our appetizers but she would pass right by us and go to other tables. Now when our meal came out BOTH of the mashed potatoes on my mom and I's were cold & my mom didn't enjoy what she had on her plate. I told the waitress about it and she proceeded to get the manager to see what he could do. I explained to the manager the issue and told him that her service was not up to par. Neither her NOR the manager apologized for the potatoes or the service. He did offer to make me some more but when I got those, the potatoes weren't even hot the second time. It was more luke warm so they still didn't seem fresh to me. Not only that, the bowls that the potatoes were served in were dirty. I have been a waitress before (recently actually) so I know what to look for when it comes to service and my mother and I were very displeased. The manager did take my mothers meal off of our bill but as we were waiting for it, Ina walked by and my mom said "excuse me ma'am" and she ignored my mom and went to the table next to us (and I know she heard her). She could've at least said "give me one second" or something but she didn't. She was just very rude and we weren't even rude to her. We probably will not come back and that sucks because we love bonefish but there was no reason that the waitress should act the way she was. I guess she realized we were not happy but that was her fault and the fact that neither one of them apologized for anything made matters worse. read more

Ate at the bar tonight at the Forest Drive location. Timeframe was 8:30-9:30 for our visit. . Service was fair, experience was not good. Never offered bread, bang bang shrimp was not hot. The biggest problem, bear in mind we ate at the bar- First ordered a miller lite. Beer was not remotely cold. Requested a cold glass. Not only was the glass not cold, it had countless particles of food waste stuck to the glass. It was not even close to clean. So, I sent it back and ordered a drink on the rocks. Well, guess what, another filthy glass. Called bartender over and expressed my concern about the dirty drink ware and told him there was no way I was drinking from that glass. He took the drink away as requested. I was then going to skip the alcohol as I was pretty much disgusted at this point. Bartender took a glass in the back and presumably washed it himself. At least I couldn't feel any particles on the exterior at this point. Hopefully the whiskey killed the science experiment growing inside. The bar staff should not be serving people from unsanitary glassware. The dishwasher should be fired, machine should be checked and manager should be written up. Absolutely unacceptable. This location never fails to disappoint. Which is a shame as we live 1 mile away. Had it not been a dinner night out with the wife, I would have left. Total fail. read more

The Ceviche was mostly Sweet potatoes, I've eaten Ceviche around the world but NEVER with Sweet Potaoes as the primary ingredient (or any ingredient for that matter). I sent it back and ordered Mussels that was delivered to me with a filthy dirty plate as my shell discard plate. It looked like the plate had been wiped with a napkin to clean.
