Stopped for a quick bite. Absolutely excellent seafood, quality was fantastic, very lightly seasoned which is perfect, had the platter, large shrimp, scallops and fish of choice. This was the best seafood experience I've had in a long while. The food was fresh, tasty, and not over salted. I will be back.

First time we came it was good, but had to listen and feel the loud music next door and a basketball game over the tv above our heads. The fish was cooked ok however the shrimp and fries were over cooked which made them hard. Today we decided to eat there again. Wow what a different experience! This time I asked the girl to cook the shrimp and fries light on my order this took her a minute to figure out. Told the girl we wanted three tarter & one cocktail sauce. So my friends food comes out and she brings to table. No silverware no sauces no napkins.So I walk up to counter and ask for everything. The girl tells me that I have to pay extra for the sauces only one small cup about 13/4 ounces for shrimp and fish. Are you kidding me!! They did not charge for sauces the first time. Charged me .75 per container of a little 2 ounces cup that was not filled all the way. So I had to pay $2.46 for the tartar sauce. Mind you my friend has her food and it's getting cold because it was more important to get my money for the sauces right then. I had to get the fork and napkins myself after asking 3 times. After all this my food finally shows up no silverware no napkin and non of the sauces I just paid for. So had to walk back up to counter and she tried to charge me again. I left her a tip when first placing the order now wish I had not she did not deserve it. Now why in the world would you not serve two people sitting together at the same time? Add $1.00 to the menu price and stop being so tacky as to charge for something that should come with it. Needless to say by the time we got everything we needed my friends food was cold. I was so mad by the time we left. Hope you're happy with the .75 for mayo because this was enough for me not to come back. We eat seafood out at least twice a week. Very disappointing!!!!! read more

Great service and food! It was my first time eating here and it didn't disappoint! I had the seafood boil..I forget the flavor name but it was the one with all of the flavors. It was very good and seafood was perfectly cooked. Inside was nice and clean and if you wanted to sit down and eat there was plenty of space. My wife and I tried Hutto's for first time. I have to admit that it didn't live up to expectations. It's basically a fast food/take-out style restaurant with a few tables and chairs if you want to eat-in. No table side service as all orders are placed at register. All drinks are self serve. My wife ordered fried scallops w fries and I had fried grouper w seasoned rice both came w 3 very small hush puppies. Our dinners were served in white clamshell take-out boxes not a basket or plate. The scallops tasted fine but were a little chewy instead of light and flaky like most scallops we've eaten. The grouper was okay, nothing special. The seasoned rice was awful, little or no seasoning, brown and sticky. Recommend not ordering rice as a side!!!! I've been to other seafood restaurants in the area that offer a better quality experience. read more

Tried the wings and fish lunch today. Service was fast and the order was correct. I got 6 small to medium wings and one piece of tilapia. The wings were done in a Cajun dry rub. They were OK. A little on the small side. The fish was also a small portion. I got the rice as a side. Did not have much flavor so I added soy sauce. The meal was good for a lunch. The total was $16 with a drink. First thing that stood out to me was the cleanliness of the whole restaurant. I even asked if they had just opened, since everything was spotless, to include the restroom, and our server laughed and said they had been open over a year, while silently acknowledging with her eyes their emphasis on sanitation. We had the fried scallops and fish and shrimp, and I haven't found better fried seafood in the Columbia area. Nothing fancy, but everything good and the staff was delightful. We are traveling and stopped for the night in Irmo SC. Took a chance on this seafood restaurant and was very impressed with food and owners. Reasonable prices & fresh. We both had the Grouper basket, fish was lightly batter & tasty. Very clean, was told they had not been open long. If you're in the area or live near give a try. Reply to your answer. We were not early, as you had the door propped open, which we always thought that meant OPEN. And my wife and I were NOT Okay with that as you stated. We didn't know what was going on. You told us to sit down, so we thought the order would be taken at the table, but then another costumer came in, just like us, and a lady came out from the back and started to take his order, but not ours. That's when we decided you were stiffing us and we weren't going to spend money at an establishment that doesn't care about its costumers and went next door to Hemingway's, where we had a delightful meal and really great service. 08/28/25 Went with my mother on our lunch break, the atmosphere was nice and the service was even better! Our food came out hot and ready, about a 5-7 minute wait. I had the Po Boy Shrimp Sandwich with seasoned rice and a crab cake. Yall....that crab cake was delicious! It was made with real crab and the outside was a perfect crisp with a soft inside. It paired nicely with the yum yum sauce. My mother had fish with fried okra and a basket of fried shrimp. The crisp on the shrimp was such a buttery goodness, like I literally was savoring it!
