Very rare that I will ever leave a negative review, however, the bonefish Grill located in Willow Grove is very disappointing. Since I was going there on a Friday night and it was my mom's birthday celebration, I thought it best to call ahead to make a reservation. They basically served our drinks, bread, or appetizers, and entrées, literally almost one on top of each other. Our waiter was very close to being down right nasty. It's really sad because it's a great location and I've been to a number of Bonefish grills and they're usually phenomenal. Bonefish Grill and Willow Grove was a letdown and I certainly don't think I will ever return there. read more

We ordered take out and it was the worst ever. The calamari was so sparse and deep fried that it disappeared inside the coating. It had to be the smallest rings we'd ever seen. This is a chain restaurant it shares a building with Outback. I believe they are the same business. Bonefish is a little more formal then say an Outback or Olive Garden, but not fine dining. My husband and I came for a belated valentines dinner and our food was delicious. This place is really quick and service is really attentive. We split the bang bang shrimp appetizer (great tang, perfectly cooked). My husband got the mahi and shrimp which looked delicious. I got the cedar plank salmon: the cherry combination just works so well. The sides are good But today the show stopper was my drink! I realize not every restaurant is designed to give vegans a variety of options. But at this location, they've actually regressed a bit, including one particularly disappointing visit. A little over a year ago, I called ahead and the manager claimed the chef could make up a simple vegan pasta dish. The pasta dish was decent enough, and my wife loves the salmon here. I returned another time or two and made the same request. Waitstaff was generally helpful, but a bit baffled and they claimed they'd have to check in with the chef. But in the end they made something up and it was fine. Went back yet again, and this time they claimed the chef was "too busy" to figure out a vegan dish to make. We had to get up and leave. It was indeed busy, but why not have a simple go to "vegan pasta dish"? It doesn't have to be anything extravagant; the difference between "no vegan options" and "one vegan option" is a night and day difference. It's management's prerogative how they want to run their business, but I'm going to suggest that having one vegan dish on hand would not be that onerous, and would be well-appreciated. read more

Food & drinks are delicious and amazing staff. We were there on Sunday afternoon had come back from a road trip. My daughters were complaining that they wanted canes so didn't think much of it and we brought it into the restaurant. We were looking through the menu when a random man came up to our table not introducing himself or nothing. He said " I notice you brought outsides food & obviously from canes so we don't allow outside food in my restaurant it's a policy" he was very rude! He did let my girls continue eating. I would have apologized if he was nice but this man was extremely rude. I ask my waiter who the man was I thought it may have been a manager. When he tells me he's the owner I was in complete shock. Bonefish Grill in Deptford, NJ has been my go to Birthday dinner for close to 20yrs. Was always fresh and wonderful, was my favorite seafood restaurant. I'm sad to say I'm never going back. The quality of the food has gone down to gas station quality. Usually order the same thing every time. The mussels were soft and fishy, just gross. Sent them back and got fried calamari, have you ever seen a calamari ring the size of a PENNY. I'm not even sure there was any calamari under the fry. At this point we thought all of it was a joke. Then came my fresh fish of the day entree. Supposed to have been butter fish in a lemon butter sauce with crab meat. The fish was very smelly and old, the crab (if it was crab) tasted like blue cheese crumbles. Blue cheese and stinky feet is what it tasted like. Too embarrassed to send another thing back. We bagged it, threw it in the trash on the way to the car. I wont tell ya about my friends shrimp and scallop. The scallops were the size of a DIME, the shrimp was sad too. We would have been better off at Red Lobster or any where else. To go from close to top of the line food to gas station quality is crazy. Im shocked and sad by my experience. No matter which bone fish I go to, they always serve the best bang bang shrimp :) Came here with my family for dinner, during covid when they seat less than 40 percent of the total capacity, it felt as if it was more than that. Either way the tables were apart and we all got our breathing space. The steak I ordered was completely well done despite me asking for medium, the manager came by to apologize and re made another steak to my liking. Didn't take too long. For dinner I got the chimichurri steak and my son got the CHICKEN&SHRIMP jumbo shrimp brushed with a light citrus-herb marinade, paired with a wood-grilled chicken breast. We got two premium sides and two regular sides. For a premium sides we got. : Kung Pao Brussel Sprouts, flash-fried brussels sprouts tossed in a sweet and spicy kung pao sauce, topped with toasted macadamia nuts and fresh cilantro; and bacon Mac n cheese delicious, creamy, cheesy macaroni topped with bacon and breadcrumbs. Yes, it is a chain restaurant. Sadly, there is no unique character to this location versus any other BONEFISH GRILL location. In fact, if you have gone to Bonefish Grills over the year it is a worn look that doesn't convey the sea nor going for a seafood dinner (Am, I missing something or did they take away a little of the seafood charm when they eliminated the various fish choices of the day?). So, all that being said you wonder where does this 4 star review come from ... JUSTIN. Our waiter who provided exceedingly top notch caring but non intrusive service throughout the meal. He was clearly happy to be working at Bonefish and regardless of the rest of his day he wanted us to have the best possible BONEFISH grill experience. He succeeded. So, the menu is the same Bonefish menu that you'd find at Bonefish Timbuktu. Well, not sure if there is a Bonefish Grill there but I bet there is one. The bisque was smooooooooooooooth and yummmmmmmmy! Served at the right temperature and it was a great start to the meal. Our entrees also exceeded chair expectations but again I have in the back of my mind a question as to whether the chefs at chain restaurants where the exact directives are sent from some office in the sky wished that the powers that be would allow them to create one or two or three daily specials all their own using the supplies that chain offered to them. What a difference that would make ... the Deptford Bonefish would have a trout dinner that the Philly one didn't offer but in Philly check out the Mussels. We've eaten here multiple times and every time it's been good. The restaurant is clean and has a nice low lit romantic feel, there's a nice bar to hang out at if that's your pleasure. I recommend the bang bang shrimp which is a spicy appetizer, it's their go to app and well known. The service is usually pretty quick even when it's packed and food comes out at a respectable time. All and all if you're in the area and looking for a step above regular dining like an Applebees or Long Horn, this is a great place to try. read more

I went here for dinner with coworkers. Bonefish is a restaurant chain all over the US. They are pretty solid in the menu offerings. I started with a smoky old fashioned and really enjoyed the presentation. It was served with the glass of smoke on top of the drink, quite tempting to just remove and enjoy the libations. However the longer it sits the more infused with smoky flavor the drink becomes. I made it about 5 minutes before I gave in. For my entree I ordered the daily special gnocchi. It was so light and the sherry cream sauce was perfect. I wished for a bigger stomach that evening. Our waitress was friendly and kept our water glasses full. Desserts here are good too but we didn't have room for them after our dinner. I'll definitely return to this restaurant. read more

For a drink I had the guava rum with passion fruit called the duvoire. Very tasty. Appetizers we had the beef dumplings which were ok, the fried calamari which were crispy and tender good and delicious bang bang shrimp. They brought warm bread with garlic oil dip as a starter which was really nice. We had the mahi mahi which was very tasty and done well with lemon butter sauce and the other one a chimichurri sauce, Asian salmon and I had the Shrimp risotto . For dessert we shared the molten lava cake and you had to ask it with vanilla ice cream as it wasn't included. The server was excellent and di a good job waiting on us.
