I ordered two seafood boils: one with 1/2 lb of shrimp and 1/2 lb of crab legs in Crab Du Jour sauce, and the other with 1 lb of shrimp and 1/2 lb of clams in garlic butter sauce with hot spice level. When I received my food, it was obvious that the sauces had been switched between the two boils. I brought this to the attention of the cashier, who then escalated the issue to the woman who runs the restaurant. I observed them discussing it in the back, and when they returned, I was told I was mistaken. I explained that I order this meal regularly and know exactly what it's supposed to look and taste like. I was told the appearance was different because of the hot sauce, which I strongly disagreed with, but chose not to argue further. While the food itself wasn't bad, I went to Crab Du Jour specifically for a meal I know and enjoy, and I left feeling disappointed. This is a Louisiana vietnamese inspired creole crawfish seafood boil restaurant recommended by a friend. It was great! Definitely not something I would make at home. You can request the contents of the boil and spice level and I also ordered a side of wings and rice. It is delicious and mouth watering good! Went to the restaurant at 10 minutes before 9pm on a Saturday night (closing time 10pm). Two groups were seated in the restaurant eating. The staff brusquely told us there was no in restaurant service, only takeout. They provided no explanation, even when we curiously looked at each other and then them. We'd eaten there once before, but will never try to do so again. I've driven by this place a couple times and was not excited about trying a new crab joint, as it was not much to look at. There were only about three folks working when I arrived and only for groups dining in. Sometimes, that isn't a great sign. They didn't have many drinks to choose from so that was not the best, but my order was calamari and dungeness crabs were pretty tasty. I asked for a mix of spicy and Cajun spices in the crab boil. I can say with conviction that both were very good. The calamari didn't have the lightest breading that I'm accustomed to, but the breaking itself was actually seasoned, very nice. The crab and the boil spices were also what I look for in a boil. I want them to hit the right spice and seasoning point. They didn't fail me. The real test will be a follow-up visit sometime this year., But nice job. read more

Ordered the family bundle with snow crab legs, clams, shrimp, and a fried oyster basket with cajun fries for take out and everything was spot on! The bundle came with 2 corn, 4 potatoes, and 6 sausages. The servings sizes were quite large for the price and the food was very delicious! Will definitely be back again soon. read more

Well, all I can say is that I've been curious for sometime about a potential meal from this place and thanks to my husband that randomly chose this place for fathers day lunch my curiosity was put to an end. We ordered seafood broil lunch combos and it was delicious. It's the perfect combo in a plastic bag of corn, garlic bread, potatoes and two different shellfish of your choosing. We had crab legs and shrimp. They provide plenty of sauce to sop up with the garlic bread. The only draw back is it's outside appearance that I feel is not a draw for customers. This location gave a vastly different experience than another location in NJ, for instance, Lumberton NJ which was fantastic. 1/2 Pound scallops resulted in only 6 total scallops! For $13. The corn on the cob and potatoes in the bag of scallops apparently contributed to the half pound weight because there is no way 6 scallops weigh half a pound alone. Our meal was going to be shared by a family of 6 so we needed more than 1 crab-cracker. We politely asked for more and they said no. Even though they have only been open two weeks, they are not offering the free shrimp/bread basket that comes with a family meal ordering. FYI, other locations like Lumberton are. This location gives the distinct impression that they are much more concerned about saving cost than customer experience. read more

We ordered the Family Catch with a lb each of dungies, head-on shrimp, and crawdads for under $50; all fresh (even on a Monday) and plump - fed our family of 5 for 2 nights. It was even better the following night, with everything marinating in the delicious Original Cajun sauce (which also serves well as a dipping sauce for a fresh loaf of bread). This is the best place for seafood with reasonable prices. The crab boil that I had was delicious you can pick three different sauces. The crabs they have are snow crab and Dungeoness crabs plus king crabs they do not blue crabs. The crab boils have corn, potatoes and crabs. They have shrimp mussels calamari and fish but not salmon. Also if they have oysters fried oysters and fried shrimp I also have po boy sandwiches. I would give this place a try. It just is delicious seafood. read more
