Burnt Enda, Kimchi fried rice, and Side Gouda Mac
    Nik K.

I had a meet-up in the area, so I searched for a place nearby to have dinner. Kitchen 519 popped up on the list of restaurants. I quickly scanned the menu and made a reservation for 4:15 pm. I arrived and was immediately greeted by a kind man, who turned out to be our waiter (Mike). After looking over the menu, I ordered the hibiscus tea, chicken friend deviled eggs, burnt ends with smoked Gouda mac n cheese and pork kimchi friend rice. My partner had the brisket, baked beans and sweet potatoes. Our teas arrived first. The hibiscus tea was delicious. It had the perfect flavor, not too sweet at all. I found the tea to be very refreshing. Next, we received the deviled eggs. The eggs were deep fried in a coating and topped with yolk and bacon. They were different. I felt the batter took over the egg, but I enjoyed the yolk and bacon mixture. Our entrees arrived later on. Now, Mike told us he would bring sauces and he definitely did. We had the hot and honey, a sweet chili and a bbq (the name escaped me). I sampled all 3 with my burnt ends. All were equally good. My Mac n cheese was decent. But I was consumed with my kimchi fried rice. It was delicious. The kimchi was fresh, crunchy, but not too crunchy. It complimented the unique flavors of the fried rice. My partner said his brisket was good and he enjoyed the sauces. He didn't finish his beans, but did murder his sweet potatoes. We had a little room left for dessert and opted for the peanut butter and chocolate brownie sundae. The brownie came with small crumbled peanut butter cups, chocolate ganache, vanilla ice and a little whipped cream. Sigh, we thoroughly enjoyed the heated brownie and the chocolate center as it paired well with the vanilla ice cream. Kitchen 519 was a hit for us and we were glad to have chosen the restaurant for our Friday dinner. We will definitely stop by whenever we are in the area again.

An early evening birthday dinner with family. The hibiscus lemonade started off a great meal. We wanted as many different tastes as possible so we opted for starters and sides. We had crispy Brussels, Montreal Mussels with fries, fried Korean Calamari, whipped ricotta on toast , Kimchi fried rice and a smoked cheesecake with berries and whipped cream for a shared dessert. Everything was delicious, well cooked and fresh. Our servicer was attentive and professional. Give Kitchen 519 a try they won't disappoint .

Unique food, fair prices, and good portions, plus everything is made in house at this mom and pop restaurant. The restaurant, kitchen, and bathrooms are very clean. There is not a lot of seating, so if you're going to go to dinner, they recommend a reservation. I came here for dinner years ago and loved it, but it's 40 minutes away from me, so I haven't been back. Well, I went to (weekend-only) brunch with my sister and brother-in-law and tried their food. I ordered the crab cake Benedict, my brother-in-law got bananas foster French toast, and my sister got the brisket, egg, and cheese sandwich. I sampled their food, and everything was delicious. The French toast was decadent, my Benedict was flavorful, and the brisket on the breakfast sandwich melted in my mouth. The coffee was flavorful, and the breakfast potatoes served on the side of each plate were crispy and well seasoned. I surely won't wait so long to return next time. A small, hidden gem. Foodie Heaven!!!! Absolute five star experience!! I love finding places like this and, of all those I've found and reviewed, I'd put this in my top five. If you're thinking of dinner, give a call for availability. It's a popular place. Super creative menu packed with delicious offerings. I just had to try the South Jersey Brisket Cheesesteak. Comes loaded with tender brisket, Cooper sharp cheese and caramelized onions on a seeded roll. Absolute perfection! My wife opted for the 14 hour Pulled Pork sandwich with cheddar. Very tender and delicious. Added a side of garlic fries to each. What a meal! Portions are generous with my wife and I each boxing half our meal. Finished with a crème brûlée and Jewish Apple Cake Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. Wow! Everything is made in-house and it shows. Family owned and operated. Just absolutely wonderful service from Ryan start to finish. You just need to get here.

My son wanted a good burger for his birthday dinner, and they have a burger night on Thursdays. There is a special burger/sandwich menu. My husband and son had the calamari, and loved it. Said it was the best they ever had. They really loved the sauce. They split the crab cake burger and brisket burger and they really liked both. I had the basic burger with cheese, lettuce, pickles, and it was a delicious burger. I am not a burger person, it is never a go to food for me. It was cooked perfect. My daughter had the grilled cheese bacon burger. Just a heads up, this is a burger between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches!!!!! She did not realize that when she ordered. She said it was great, but it is a lot of food. They are BYOB, my husband brought beer. I wasn't planning on drinking, but they do so Bellview Winery wines, so I got a bottle. So glad we went, because it been a long time since we have been there. It's very close to us and we can't wait to go back. They had a great selection of desserts, but we were stuffed. Our waiter, whose name I have forgotten at the moment, was great!

I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, because it IS a nice place to eat, but a few things just "meh-ed" me. I would have given if 3.5, if my petition to give half stars ever makes it the Yelp powers that be. Firstly, it's a small little spot that is BYOB, but does sell wine by the bottle. When you walk in, you walk past the kitchen; which is cool, but it wasn't exactly a kitchen that was WORTH showing off. Not that it looked bad, it just didn't look special in any way. I'm sure they do it to show that they are proud of the way they prepare your food, and have nothing to hide, which I appreciate, but it almost seemed out of place, and I'm not sure having the open kitchen so close to the front door is even a good idea. The hostess sat us right away, but here's the first couple of knocks: the table was a bit sticky, and the silverware had fingerprints on them. Again, nothing egregious, but......then, I looked and there are vaccuums and mops and what not, basically IN the dining room, but either way in CLEAR view of the guests. Maybe it's just me, but I don't want to stare at an old, bag model Hoover while I eat. With the walk past the kicthen, the sticky tables, and the vaccuum leaned on the wall during service, Kitchen 519 feels like eating at someones house. Maybe that's what they're going for. The food itself was good. I had no complaints about the taste of anything, other than I wish the butter that came with the bread had some salt in it. I got the Chicken Caprese salad, with added bacon ($5 upcharge), the Misses got the crab cakes, which came with 2 sides (Misses picked sweet potato mash and brussel sprouts), with the chicken fried deviled eggs to start. We ended with the creme brulee for dessert. There was no corkage fee for the bottles to be opened. Service was fine, but there was an issue with the pricing. Be warned, the prices on the menu are not updated. This includes the menus they hand you at the restaurant, not just the online versions. Because I'm crazy about stuff, I was able to catch the fact that certain items were charged more than were listed on the menu. To their credit, they adjusted the price, but they would have slipped it past me if I wasn't paying attention. Like I said, Kitchen 519 was a good meal, with just a few knocks that could be easily corrected to get it up to a 4, or even 5 star spot. I see no reason we won't come back.

Oh my gosh I'm so excited to tell you guys about our dinner here last night! My boyfriend chose the place himself online and said "it seemed like a place I would like." He was 100% correct. I called because it was a friday at 6:45 PM and they took my name for a table for two and said to come right over. We were seated right when we got there at 7 ish which was so awesome considering the dining room is small, not cramped just limited seating! Our waiter Ryan was the absolute best! He was so attentive and reliable. I stared off with a mexican coke and we ordered nachos as an appetizer. They were so amazing, unfortunately my picture is what they look like half way through us eating them because we could barely stop eating after the first bite, all the ingredients were soooo fresh tasting. We each got a meat platter, which comes with choice of meat(s), sides, and cornbread. My boyfriend had ribs and really enjoyed them. He said they had a great fall off the bone texture. Our waiter was kind enough to bring us (without asking him to) samples of all the sauces. My boyfriend's favorite was the Korean BBQ, mine was the Bourbon Smoked I believe, but the hot honey and Mango habanero were tasty (and spicy). I had the pulled pork and it was delicious. The brisket was okay, I expected it to be pulled, but it came in slabs. Still very good tasting though. We both tried the mac and cheese as a side and it was amazing. It was the best mac and cheese we have had out in so long. Creamy, tasty, cheesy, and topped with breadcrumbs. The fries and potatoes were both yummy as well, everything we ate was just great. We ordered the cheesecake to go because we were so full, but everything had been so tasty we didn't want to miss dessert. Unfortunately by the time we got home our cheesecake tasted like BBQ, I think because we kept in the same bag for the 20 minute ride home, totally our fault! Anyway if you couldn't tell we were obsessed with this place. It is not often you find a restaurant where you don't wait long, the waiter seems like he really likes his job, the food is amazing, and you have a great vibe around you!

I had the brisket tacos and thought they were very tasty. There were also vegan options for those that needed it.

The brisket, Gouda Mac & cheese and German potato salad.

The food was amazing. There were so many delicious items listed on the menu that we wanted to try everything. The deep fried devils eggs were amazing! Ryan, our server was delightful and very courteous! I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. We were from out of state and found this place on Yelp. Thank you for the helpful reviews!

I came here with friends. It's BYOB but they sell wine by the bottle, which was reasonably priced. We tried the smoked wings, burger, gouda mac and cheese, french fries, shrimp and grits, mussels (not pictured) and pulled pork tacos. Overall, I enjoyed my time. The ambiance is cute, the staff is friendly, the food was cool. Mussels (3.5/5) - good flavor but I have had more flavorful mussels. Smoked wings (3/5) - good flavor but overcooked. French fries (3.5/5) solid fries nothing to rave about. Gouda Mac and cheese (4/5) - very tasty! Would order again. Shrimp and Grits, Pulled pork tacos, and shrimp and grits - didn't try but my friends really enjoyed them!

Trio of tacos; shrimp, brisket, pork. Very good!
    Tara L.

We had a great meal starting with the chicken fried deviled eggs (whites are breaded and deep fried). Entrees were the trio of tacos (one of each) with chips and pico and the ribs with brisket beans and Gouda Mac n cheese with cornbread. Standouts were the service (Matt), homemade tortilla chips, the brisket baked beans, and the Gouda Mac and cheese. I did not try the tacos but my bf enjoyed them all. Little disappointed with the ribs (not a lot of meat and a little fatty) but what was there was good. I'm not a big fan of smoked flavor and a lot of items were smoked including the little bags of granola they gave us. Great granola; I'd recommend making it unsmoked. Based on uniqueness and quality of food and service 4 stars.

The service and the food was amazing... great atmosphere. Everything was amazing. Cozy upbeat place. kitchen 519 is also BYOB... I would highly recommend dinner or lunch here anytime.

This place is a BYOB just a block off the Black Horse Pike on Evesham Rd in Glendora, which is not known as a culinary Mecca. But Kitchen 519 could very well qualify Glendora as such. I just kind of discovered it on my GPS ("restaurants near me") and the reviews were / are glowing. Very unprepossessing building, seems kind of hidden from sight. But the menu is frankly amazing, prices very reasonable, and the staff are very down to earth with a hint of hipster / "The Bear" - "Yes, Chef" kinda vibe. Oh, and the music is Khruangbin, Leon Bridges, Glass Beams, Mark Speer, classic R&B, and the like. Just love the vibe here! The food: fresh, interesting in the best way, beautifully prepared and presented. Start with the chicken fried deviled eggs and go from there. You can't go wrong. Starting with the chicken fried deviled eggs and the twice-baked eggplant....

We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! My Pink Jaguar cocktail was beautiful and caused quite a buzz among the bar patrons! We opted to sit outside, and we are glad we did. The space is open and breezy but fully covered. No need to worry if a passing shower makes its way overhead. Steamed clams in white wine and Truffle fries for the table to start. Yum! All entrees are accompanied by a house salad or Ceasar salad. Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. I know their linguine is house made, but not certain of the other pasta varietals. Cheesecake and Cannoli for dessert, because why not? Really nice experience! We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

We've had generally decent service and somewhat inconsistent food, but it generally leans on the good side. Today was... interesting. The wings came out great. I usually order extra sauce bc, depending on the cook, the wings sometimes lack a lot of sauce. The cheesesteak came out good, but the cheese was basically all on top instead of mixed throughout. Weird. There was a sign in the door about $4 copper lager, one of my favorite beers. No dates or times listed. I asked our server about it and she mentioned it was on Tuesdays for club members. Nothing about that in the sign... Speaking of which, we've seen this server a bunch of times, but this was our first time with her. She was rude and inattentive. Dropped plates with no words. Barely checked on us. I don't know if she was in a bad mood or not bc I don't feel like we did anything to deserve the attitude. For almost $70 with tip, I expected more. I mentioned to my wife I don't want to go back anytime soon, especially with the kids. Too expensive for meh food with bad service. I'll just cook at home next time. So disappointed.
