Great prices on fresh fish!! Service is very fast and they are willing to cook anything that they sell for you. I love their fried shrimp, crabs, clams. mussels. Also, they have great sides. I basically love it all. It's not somewhere that I would eat at. It does not have a very appealing atmosphere to eat at so I am definitely a buy it a take-home person, but I love it regardless! read more

First time going here July 4th weekend. Ordered the half dozen blue crab platter. Apparently they were sold out of blue crabs. There was no notice or phone call stating that. Went to pick up food, had to change the order and get dungeness crabs instead. Got home the platter was little to none seasoned! I mean it's bad when you have to re-season ya own crab platter.. 2 star rating due to the great service. Food trash .. Wouldn't go back nor recommend. read more

Whether you are looking for fresh fish, shrimp, crabs, lobsters or cooked foods this is the place to go!! The cooked foods are delicious!!!! I often get the fried Whitney platter with French fries and coleslaw and get my husband broiled Salmon with broccoli!!!! Also, a sautéed Blue Claw platter too!!! PennJersey seafood has always been a favorite. When they closed the Mt Ephraim Ave location, I was like, "Dang, where am I gonna grab my seafood at decent prices and great taste?" And boom, they reappeared in a great location! The catfish is great, the mussels and shrimp are delicious, the crabs - just finger licking good, and if you're a salmon lover like myself, the broiled salmon is absolutely yummy!! I've been seeing this market for awhile now, so I stopped in a couple days ago but didn't buy anything.... The place was pretty big and spacious inside. This isn't a restaurant or a clam bar. Just a place that sells fish and shell fish, that happens to fry, steam, and broil it also. They also have live and steamed crabs which seems to be why a lot people are coming in this time of year. What caught my attention here was the clams on the half shell for $8.99. Ice cold and served with cocktail sauce on a tray (no plates at this place!!). The fish on the board were the typical frying fish. Flounder, whiting, basa, tilapia... All in all, there's something there for a midday lunch or a late dinner to make at home... read more

Usually I try to avoid reviewing a place if I don't feel like it was 5 stars (unless I was truly unsatisfied), but As somebody who takes fried fish (particularly catfish) very seriously it's important that I share with y'all the difference between a 5 star fish place and a 4 star one. FIrst and foremost, THIS PLACE MAKES GOOD FRIED FISH! Why is it 4 stars instead of 5? The catfish was not very crispy and lacked that top tier flavor I've had at other fried catfish places. ON THE BRIGHTSIDE: they give you tons of fish and they taste good all for a very affordable price. read more

It seems odd that in the Tri-state it's a difficult task to find reasonably priced seafood but it is. Since I've lived here this is the 2nd place I've come across that has exactly what I've been looking for. Lawd, take me now. This place will be a go-to for seafood that tastes like your grandmother cooked it. Potatoes, Garlic(BEWARE), Shrimp, Broccoli, Corn, Snow Crabs, and last but not least(seriously) Butter. This is the Snow Crab Platter they offer. It comes in two heat offerings; Mild & Spicy. I don't know how they cook all this food but once they call you to get your order it arrives in one of the aluminum pans you have around the holidays. He unravels the layer of tin foil and voila! You're smacked with beautiful, bright colors as well as magnificent smells. As I picked up my platter, there were customers in line about to order. They saw my platter and completely changed their minds to order what I bought. It took me 3 damn days to finish! Worth every penny. The could use more seating but considering it's located within an indoor market, it's not their fault. read more

Fried seafood? LOUSY in every way. We were craving fried seafood, and 2 weeks ago, had a fantastic meal at another local place much farther away, but much pricier. So my husband passes this place with a line, and decides to try it. Menu prices? Half of the other place. He arrived and saw them taking the pieces of pre-prepared fried fish out of a box. Not fresh! The taste? Just awful. Smashed crab patty - all filler. Scallops, like rubber balls we used to play with as kids, so dry, hard and tasteless. Flounder? Terrible. Even the cocktail sauce was sour. Very good food at very good prices. Not the kind of place if you want ambience but definitely the kind of place if you want quality. I had the clams appetizer - big, meaty clams with an excellent spicy garlic sauce - and the fried combination platter. The latter had fantastic scallops and shrimps and a decent crabcake and nice piece of flounder, alongside a generous portion of friend fries. I'm glad I believe in second chances. I called one evening and they answered "we close at 6 and it's 5:45"...I didn't even get to say hello and ask my question. I kindly interrupted him to check him and get my question answered. I came by a few days later and got some allege shrimp. The price on the marking did not match what was on the scale but he broiled it hot & spicy for me. Loved the garlic. I got one pound and couldn't even finish it in one sitting. Unfortunately, my mom didn't really like her whiting sandwich. If I had craving for shrimp, I'd probably come back when in NJ. Would like to give the crab a try. read more

I moved to S. Jersey 3 yrs ago and have found it challenging to find good seafood reasonably priced in my area. I love Penn Jersey Seafood for being both good and affordable, but the portion sizes are becoming a little disappointing. The crab legs and shrimp used to be bigger when I first started buying the snow crab platters. I still go back though because there is no competition in the area that I know of and the food is still good. read more

It's seafood but I absolutely LOVE their broccoli and corn in the platters. I use to just get the crab legs platter which is usually good but the last few times been a hit or miss. Their fried platters are ok. Just had it once. Food is fried with that basic flavorless breading. Service is super friendly and as fast as one would expect when food is cooked to order. read more
